"Jordan in his last year w/ the Wiz had the same FG% as Kobrick's career ..."

So what's the excuse Kobestans?
-Lack of hand-checking?
-No illegal defense? No Kobe rules?
-Too many achilles tendons?
-Playing w/ the most dominant center that draws double teams?
-Playing w/ the best passing PF/SF combo?

The truth: He was a glorified scrubby ass gunner who couldn't win a series without playing alongside All-NBA bigmen in their primes. Dude is just a bigger/more athletic version of Gilbert Arenas. Their scrubby status was reveled when they were robbed of athleticism due to injury.

WHAT'S GOOD *****? What's REALLY good?!?!????!!! Ha HA!

PHILADELPHIA -- When Kobe Bryant made three 3-pointers in the first 76 seconds Tuesday, the Los Angeles Lakers star said he noticed something about some of the young Philadelphia 76ers players he was facing.

They were starstruck.

"They were," Bryant said after his team's 103-91 loss at Wells Fargo Center. "When I came out and made three in a row, I could sense they were like, 'I really don't want to touch him ... and 'Holy crap! Is this going to be an 81- situation?' You know what I mean? Like, 'I really don't know what to do.' And I'm just sitting there thinking, 'Man, I'm just playing possum, because I know my legs aren't going to carry this energy for 48 minutes.' But certainly I could sense a little bit of that."

Honestly looked like dude wanted to cry...and I can't blame him. Such a shitty situation to be in bc you can't say anything negative about Kobe to the media or to Byron so the young guys just have to internalize everything.

Not saying I agree but I would say this is a lot more than a "Jordan comparison." It's more like a comparison to the dead "Don't put me back into my final game Jordan" and the post-gunplay Arenas.

I mean, in terms of the Jordan comparison, there's no debate there...Jordan was and always will be the superior player....

But as someone who has never been a big booster for Kobe, that whole "athleticism" jab is getting tiring....U can dissect Kobe's game without resorting to that. Athleticism is part of basketball. Why do people on this board continue to shit on players because they rely on their physical gifts...

It's silly...

Im pretty sure the majority of great players in history worked "hard" and had that ethic.. we always heard about it with magic bird and jordan.. so miss me with the hardest worker ever... either that or he was super lacking to begin with and had to be the "hardest worker" to get over...

In response to Reply # 0
Wed Dec-02-15 10:16 AM by 40thStreetBlack

except Manu has never scored 20 ppg in a season even once in his career, and has taken 16,000 less career FGA than Kobe and scored 20,000 less points. Manu has the FG% of a volume scorer without the actual volume scoring.

So what's the excuse Ginobrickstans?

-Playing his entire career w/ GOAT PF that draws double teams?
-Carried too heavy a scoring burden coming off the bench as a third option?
-Low bone density caused too many injuries over his career?
-Playing w/ the best passing frontcourt duo on the best passing team in the league?

The truth: He was a glorified scrubby ass gunner who couldn't carry a team without playing alongside GOAT PF big man and a HOF PG his entire career. Dude is just a bigger/more athletic version of Sarunas Marciulionis. His scrubby status was revealed when he was robbed of athleticism due to injury.

At any rate, who compared those two? Who compared Manu to Jordan?

You got Kobestan in here throwing its extremist fringe under the rug. There ARE Kobestanis saying Kobe was better than Jorn or on his level, and the OP just demolishes that fanciful notion.

And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

The OP is vapid, invective drivel that called Kobe a glorified hibachi. You're better than that Chuck (I think.)

I don't think Kobe was a glorified Hibachi, no. I'd have him in my top 20 all time for sure.

Ginobrick even copied the Euro two-step from Sarunas just like Kobe copied Jordan.

... with posts like these. Your comparison is flawed because GOAT played 20 seasons straight through while Jorn did 16 with three years off. He timed his first two retirements during his prime so all your points are successfully dismissed.

These are the facts that matter:
Kobe played for the better part of 20 seasons with the same team not counting minutes played in a role on multiple olympic teams.
While you bullshitting Jordan benefited from a lack of hand checking as well but you won't talk about it as the rule changed in 94. Matter of fact, the GOAT Kobe DID play during the time the using the forearm to defend players facing the basket was legal so fuck your point.

Jorn played 16 seasons with two teams retiring three times (two in his prime). We never saw Jorn face young competition on the decline that GOAT went through.

I AM THOROUGHLY OFFENDED THAT YOU COMPARE GOAT TO SCRUBBY ASS GUNNER WITH BRAIDS AKA AI. Are you sure you want to discredit someone for their teammates? Take away Scottie and the Bulls don't win six titles because Jorn is revealed to be a poor teammate and hard to play with. Get rid of Dennis Rodman as well because that's hall of fame help. Steve Kerr has to go because he's one of the greatest clutch specialists of that era. I can keep going.

Batman can't save the world and the cities around the world without Robin.

Your hate for the GOAT Kobe is admirable and heartwarming. By the way Kobe hung 33 on Jordan DURING HIS PRIME and came back to hit him with 20 during another meeting. Both Jordan and the GOAT Kobe surpass that shiftless bum that washed out of the league AI.

Jordania needs to answer a couple questions:

What happens if Jordan doesn't retire the first time?
What happens if Jordan plays straight through and doesn't retire the second time?

In closing, HOLLA AT 5.

Jordan was always Batman, Kobe spent years, important years, as Robin. With MORE SEASONS Jordan would have only padded his numbers and continued winning. Shit there is a good (not 100%, obviously) chance that they would have won EIGHT titles in a row had he not retired the first time, and I don't think it's a stretch to say they would have been odds-on favorites in the lockout year had their entire team/staff not disappeared. The what-if stuff would only *further* distance him from Kobe. Let's also not forget he hit the winning shot for a national title as a freshman, while Kobe rode the bench and did little as a rookie. You're talking about Kobe scoring 20 points against Jordan LMAO. Who the fuck cares? Probably somewhere in your peanut head and pea-sized brain the argument you just laid out made sense, and that's the saddest part.

And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

The GOAT Kobe showed humility by accepting a lesser role during his early years and during the run with Phil coaching Shaq.

PAUSE and don't run from this:

>Shit there is a good (not 100%,

>row had he not retired the first time, and I don't think it's

That Bulls team wouldn't beaten the championship Rockets team. Once Jordan fails once in the finals his myth is forever tarnished and the rest of those titles are in question. You really a dumb bitch for thinking the Bulls win a title in the lockout year. Jordan skated by retiring before facing great teams in his waning years so thanks for proving my point.

The GOAT Kobe was IN THE NBA accepting a lesser role showing humility instead of taking game winning shots in college against lesser competition. My arguments make plenty of sense and highlight how the GOAT Kobe hoed Jorn multiple times.

You're such a goddamn moron it's not even funny. KEEP STALKING YOU SHIFTLESS FUCK.

P.S. The GOAT Kobe could have six rings if he retired as frequently as Jorn so fuck 6 as the consistent 5 is better.
