Kendricks has been pretty bad in man-coverage since returning from injury. I thought Hicks was subpar but he improved steadily, really miss his overall ability.
Watching the interior line trying to hold point of attack on inside zone is damn near comedy at this point.

Hicks was obviously a huge loss but more so than that, there's very limited penetration up front against either run or pass...which is obviously hurting our run gaps but exposing the corners even more so.

I followed on my phone the best I could and listened to the 4th quarter on the ride home. Wow. This team has literally no fight. Maybe a few guys here and there. But wow, never expected the team to regress like this. These are the "high character" guys Chip chose to help create the culture he wants here. Doesn't appear to me that the culture he wants is very conducive to winning.
I didn't think it was a remote possibility that Chip could lose his job after this season, but I'm thinking it's possible now. I don't think it will happen. However, if the Eagles continue to get out-coached, outplayed, out-hustled, etc. to close out the season, then it is certainly a possibility. At the bare minimum, Billy Davis has to be fired. He's never coached a top 20 (in points or ypg) defense in his career. This is year 3 and we are continuing to see porous play. The Saints coaches and players LOVED Rob Ryan, but even they cut ties with him. Business, never personal. Bye Billy.
Chip needs to be relieved of his GM duties. I don't trust him with drafting and assembling talent. He did make some good moves like signing Walter Thurmond and drafting Jordan Hicks, but he's swung a missed way too much.
I could envision CHip's ego not accepting or taking kindly to losing some power he currently has. And if that's the case, then it could lead to his departure. I still think he's coming back for at least 1 more year. But for the first time ever, I do think there's a slight chance he could be gone if he completely loses this team.
