^^^Iverson vs Curry...first 7 years of their careers: Curry is better at FG% (though he took 800 more 3's), 3ptFG%, 2pt FG% (so he's better inside the line too), effective FG%, FT%, he's better at rebounding, assisting, and he turns the ball over less. AI got him beat at steals...by .7 per game and ppg (while playing 6 more mpg and taking 7 more shots per game)
And those transfer to the playoffs, same results except Curry closes the gap in steals, scoring and is a lil more turnover prone than Ivo.
C'mon.

^^^His MVP year he had a 35% usage rate while playing 42mpg and ONLY scored 31ppg
Iverson was a low 40% shooter most his career, low 30's 3pt shooter and he took damn near 30 shots to get 31ppg his mvp season.
He had a green light to gun because nobody on his team was good enough offensively to do so with the Sixers. They won MOSTLY off of defense...and just 'enough' offense. The year they went to the finals they only won 56 games in a weak ass east. And sometimes he got worked by stronger/bigger guards because he was small and skinny...passing lanes was the bulk of his defensive prowess.
If Iverson was on the 2015 Warriors, they lose because he's no where NEAR as efficient as curry is scoring wise. They don't need a gunner who shoots for the sake of shooting. And Curry on those sixers teams is even BETTER because he gets the bulk of his points off of pure shooting (not to mention he's better at Iverson in scoring from anywhere on the court sans maybe at the rim). With a 35% usage rate, in 42mpg and 28 shots per game, Curry avg's 40ppg. That level of scoring + that sixer's teams D = them having a better shot at the Lakers.
You know how I know: Game 1 - Allen 48pts on 41 shots (43%) and 37.5% from 3 (these are Curry type numbers...Sixers win in OT by 6) Game 2 - Allen 23pts on 29 shots (34%) and 30% from 3 (he took 10 threes by the way), Sixers lose by 9 (Curry likely shoots better = better shot at a W) Game 3 - Allen 35pts on 30 shots (40%), 16.7% from 3 (6 shots), sixers lose by 5...Curry shoots better, Sixers win this game Game 4 - Allen 35pts on 30 shots (40%), 25% from 3 (4 shots), Sixers lose by 14...Curry makes this game closer but they still likely lose Game 5 - Allen 37pts on 32 shots (43%) and 27% from 3 (11 shots!), Sixers lose by 12. Curry keeps the Sixers in this game with better 3pt shooting and better 2pt shooting for the Sixers. They probably have a shot at it at the end.
^^^This...and icing on the cake...Allen shot 72% from the FT line this series. That's another few ppg for Curry as he shoots in the 90's from the line.
In the finals, Allen avg'd 35ppg...ON 32 SHOTS for 40%. While steph put up 26ppg on 20 shots at 44% (38% from 3) in 2015's finals. At the same usage rate/shot attempts, Curry scores about 40ppg in the 2001 finals.
C'mon man.
And lets not act like Curry can't finish or get his shot off on his own.
SMH...he's better than Iverson at basketball. Ya'll can have the mystique and impact angle all day, no argument there but Ivo is NOT the player ya'll romantically remember him to be. ____________
