"Detroit Lions 2K15 - Let us discuss...." Mon Sep-21-15 01:15 PM by LegacyNS
0-2..
next 3 games...
vs Denver @ Seattle vs Arizona..
yikes..
So where are we with this team. Here's my 2 cents:
Oline: They were pathetic yesterday. The couldn't pass protect and they still can't run block.
Defense: They miss Suh.. like a lot. They miss Levy too but even if he returns the loss of Suh will still be felt.
Stafford: Still has his issues but yesterday wasn't a good example of it "point at Matt" as the root cause game. When Matt leads the team in rushing with 20 yards something is wrong.
Lombardi: Might just be a bad fit with Stafford.
In the end, I know a lot of people are looking at Stafford & I think it's fair to be critical but it seems to me that the front office might be the bigger issue.
What y'all think and can they turn this around this year?

The front office deserves just as much blame as IceCream does. They coddle the fucker by giving him weapon after weapon instead making the line the focus of the draft/free agency.

As far as the front office..
As bad as people might want to rip Stafford, the Oline, the D, the coaching staff this really rests at the feet of Mayhew and Lewand. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ <---- 5.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dlgiritpmfo

Lombardi's 50 Screens of Gag offense is a problem (The not throwing deep is really getting old back to last year)
Riley Reiff backsliding is a problem
No Waddle is a problem
Not starting Tomlinson *may* be a problem
No interior DL pressure is a problem
No Levy is a HUGE problem
The Waddle, Tomlinson, and Levy problems will work themselves out at some point.
But the offensive play calling is just the worst. And whats so mindboggling is that Caldwell is a vertical passing enthusiast. Its past time for him to start calling the plays. Does anyone doubt that we would have scored 40 in those games with Linehan?

He's not going John Elway circa 86 out there carrying the Lions. Just because there are other issues doesn't mean he shouldn't be criticized for his miscues and inconsistency.
