Lack of depth at skill positions, especially receiver. I know they were banking on Perriman, but dude hasn't even touched the practice field. The Ravens are cursed at drafting WRs (Torrey Smith may have been their best product, and that's not saying a lot). Going with Steve Smith as a #1 at 36 with a bunch of camp bodies is troubling.

No pass rush. What else is there to say? Without having to account for Suggs, Dumervil and by extension the front seven just isn't as effective. I know they brought in Babin, but I'm not sure what difference he'll make, if any.

Joe/Trestman/Offensive Hiccups. Although a good quarterback, Joe still seems to be making young mistakes in his eight year (slowing down the last scoring drive to take time off the clock, slinging into double coverage, underthrowing/overthrowing). And I'm trying to wrap my brain around Trestman's offensive philosophy. Seems like he's trying to use Kubiak's playbook with much less skilled talent.

Streets won't let me chill.

he worked well as a complementary possession guy last year, but seemed to slow down as the season went on. He needs some other pieces around him.

nothing better than a motivated Smitty...

I would only get nervous if yall keep losing though...

I don't think he signed up for another year for the Ravens to start the season 0-2...hopefully the schedule gets softer...

I would love for him to get traded back to Carolina to end his career there...we could use some WR help right now...LOL

is exactly why I have decided to keep my ass at home when we play. And touting the "defense" that won us a ring in 2012/2013 is the other. No matter what stats you provide them fools, they still go back to Flacco "ain't shit".

My man done won games after games and put the quad in position to win even more games with PEDESTRIAN receivers since he came into the league. Not one single #1 WR.

Anyway, I digress. I hate clueless and phony ass Ravens fans. Left up to them, Ray and Ed would still be playing and starting.

1. The coaching staff and front office believed their own hype. You could see it in preseason with sloppy play and the lack of depth. As good as Ozzie and his team are they overvalued their own personnel assessment.

2. Injuries. We were already lacking depth so major injuries to 3 WR's, Starting TE, both RB's, 3 CB's and a OLB are devastating. There's guys playing that were #2 or 3 on the depth chart and probably wouldn't be on a roster in some places

3. The ghosts of drafts past are coming back to haunt us (and this connects with #1). The Ravens have always been a team that builds the core through the draft and adds pieces here and there - 3 first ballot HOF'ers here for all or most of their careers, scores of very good players who were with us for years. But in the last four/five years, we had some early round picks who were part of plans for the future after Ray and Co. were gone but just didn't pan out - Arthur Brown, Matt Elam, Sergio Kindle, Perriman just to name a few.

4. We're eating a bit in dead money - $23M if I recall, so that hamstrung us in what we're able to do under the cap. It's all for naught now though, the cupboard is bare. No more in season trades.

I'm here till the wheels fall off, but folks in Baltimore calling for Dan Pees (why they hell they can't call him by his real name, I have no idea) to be fired or saying that Flacco is to blame when he's on pace for a monster season, aren't looking at the bigger picture.

Streets won't let me chill.

That's what some of these folks say.

Fact is that we suck. CJ Mosley got exposed yesterday and he's supposed to be better than Arthur Brown who is fast enough to cover TEs.

We'll find some sort of way to screw up this top 10 draft pick I'm hoping for.

We need a great draft and to be out from under all that dead Ray Rice and Haloti Ngata money. Try it again next year.

In the meanwhile, these bammas could be a hell of a lot more disciplined cuz stupid penalties are killing us.

Oh yeah! It's all Joe's fault.

Trestman is x's and o's....I'm not (totally) mad at the offense...you can piece together an offense as long as you have a healthy o-line
offensively we will be ok...we need to stop bargain basementing the WR position though in the off season...our receivers are slow and can't get separation on intermediate routes... we should have been utilizing more WR screens, hitches, and the middle of the field with our lil receivers ala the Pats,Broncos, Steelers.... We escape the easiest formula in football.....Gain at least 5 yards on 1st down and you put yourself in good position for drives

Defensively.....................
Dean Peas gotta go........sorry....since Superbowl year...I have not been impressed with the defense.... that zone bullshit where we let them have EVERYTHING underneath is retarded...we play 10yrds off each receiver.........they run a comeback route and they gain @ 6-8 yrds off of that every pop...EVERY team does it against us....We have no pass rush....we have a few NAMES....but we don't have an actual pass rush....Dummervil been chilling collecting a check....
Canty? Suggs showed up when he wanted to for the past 2 seasons...our dline is solid against the run........that's it ...We need an overhaul on defense

now...onto our linebackers...Darryl Smith....smh....sorry...Darryl Smith gets 'props' because he is a vet....but he is old...slow as hell....and can't tackle as good as u want your inside linebacker to...one juke and he lost his shoes..he can't cover NOBODY so he is pretty much useless.... Mosely...he is young...he has the speed...he needs to gain about 10lbs of muscle and learn how to cover...Z Smith...he still young but has potential...Urban being hurt, definitely hurts us too...we need a young MEAN mofo....

We don't have the 'tough guys' (besides Steve Smith) that we are accustomed to....we got a bunch of softees happy to be on a roster...

But the Penalties....technique/fundamentals....the fact that niggas can't tackle...schemes...ALOT of that falls on coaching...always does
we need a new D Coordinator who will bring back the swagger and aggression that we were known for....that was our identity

with all that said
Harbs is under the microscope...
Trestman...tbd
Peas...the door is that way

I believe the Ravens said publicly that after 4 offensive coordinators in three years, they're still running Kubiak's playbook (with some variation) to give the offense some stability. However, they're doing it with lesser talent. And again, that "right player, right price" philosophy hasn't panned out recently...I can understand avoiding cap jail, but the drop off in ability with reserves has been staggering.

Streets won't let me chill.

If Perriman ever reaches the field, having them as a 1-2 with the White Tight End Gang is an intriguing possibility. However, with our recent draft history (especially with receivers going back to Travis Taylor), I don't believe shit until I see it on the field.

Streets won't let me chill.

(c) Redman as Uncle Quillis

That is the one draft pick that I will never forgive Ozzie for. Even if Perriman becomes an All-Pro, I am not forgiving him for that pick at all.

34. "To play what position?"
In response to Reply # 31

He just started playing WR. So, we don't need another developmental project at that position. We need a someone who has been playing the position and honing their skills for years.

So, I gotta disagree with this one.
