"D.C. Fans LOVE manufacturing Ls with forced player "rivalries""

urlacher/lavar
bron/gilbert
luck/RG3
beal/klay
steve blake/J-Will

it's an OOOOLD phenomenon, too. i remember riggo and dorsett. DC dudes just be so pressed to say they guy better and they DON'T BE BETTER!!!

sonny wasn't better than roger and that was long over before i was born, but i STILL HEAR ABOUT IT!!!!

this the most L taking town ever with this player comparison stuff. i'm guilty, too. i be lookin at bryce v. trout like "NOOOOOPE....bryce younger and got more natural talent"...man, trout better, but damn if I ain't gonna cyse bryce over him if he hits for better average over their careers. so.

only thing that's close right now is wall/kyrie and we know that L coming. at least i'm on the other side of that, but it's a HUGE deal here. so glad murray got traded so some of the intensity got taken out of murray v. morris ("alfred would have 2000 yards behind that line")

i don't understand why this town so pressed. it's across racial lines, too. tell a white guy here that crosby still better...SMH...WWIII.

gotta get outta here. they crazy.

only for the Mets to go NOPE! We got four of those! And both Harvey and de Grom (if not also Syndegaard and Matz) BETTER.

unless you guys plan on sucking for the next 3-5 years

Besides, Matt Harvey owns his soul.

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

I'll give you the other examples, but history hasn't been kind to Jason WIlliams. Or Jay Williams. Or whatever he calls himself.

Meanwhile Blake's had a better NBA career than Chris Wilcox OR Juan Dixon (or Jason Williams)

You hate, why for Ba? Blake, quiet as kept given the emotional impact Juan had on the team, was the lynchpin during those Gary Final Four years. He was underrated then and remains under appreciated locally even now.

Like when a female writer writes an article about internet commenter misogyny, and someone inevitably replies in the comments, "This isn't true, you dumb bitch."

He also sprinkled the "Harper >>> Every Met Ever" gem above, just in case one example wasn't enough. Pretty awesome.

but those Wizards/Cavaliers rivalry games back in the days were fun. From my somewhat foggy memory, I remember one of the Wizard players getting physical with LeBron. I'm certain it wasn't Arenas; I think it was some dude with Lincoln tattooed on his throat/neck area.

Try to tell 2002 Bryan that Peyton was the best QB in league? "You better get the fuck out my face" (c). I might also have cysed Howard over Pujols for a while too.

LeBron/Gil was nice for a little bit. Gil a bigger choker than LeBron was though in those playoff games.

Didn't know folks was comparing Demarco Murray and Alfred Morris...That's a wash to me.

I'd like to ask any and all non-Cowboy/non-Redskin fans who they'd rather have. Something tells me 95-97% of the people would say Murray.

very curious to see how kessel fits in with the pens. a line with him and sid would be sick, maybe kunitz on LW to add a solid two-way guy to the mix. ovie should carry over from last year and this year he will have considerably better scorers around him between guys improving and new additions.

And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

No one tells the tragic story of Len Bias WITHOUT a "he was better than Jordan" or even "he would've been better than Jordan was...."

Hard to picture what "better than Jordan" would've looked like but it's widely believed locally

It's to the point where I don't even consider Kyrie a rival to Wall, but just the King's shot happy sidekick.
