We (Narbonne High School in Harbor City, CA) are really good again this year....
Ranked by Max Preps #6 in California and #56 Nationally.....
I'm not going to say this is the best team we've had in the 10 years I've been there....not yet at least.... but it's easily the most talent we've had from 9th grade on up in the program at 1 time. It's actually pretty scary. We are returning 20 starters from last year's LA city championship team. We have SEC scouts on campus for the fist time that I can remember. It's actually pretty crazy...
Lots of talk that this year's team may be the first Los Angeles City team to ever win a California State Championship. We'll see..
we open up tomorrow night hosting Long Beach Poly...
at first I was a bit concerned about us playing such a tough team in our first game.... but it's actually worked out pretty good....
the #1 rated Senior QB in the country, Malik Henry, just checked into Poly last week, and is not likely to be cleared to play by tomorrow night.... It's his 4th high school, which may be a bit of a red flag.....he's committed to Florida State, and his family moved to Florida for his 12th grade year so he would be close to Florida state with the hopes of graduating early, but something happened..and now he's back in California. I'm thinking he may be back on the recruiting table for schools now..and hopefully UCLA will give him a holler...

After 3 straight D1 finals trips, last year was a rebuilding year with no playoff bid
This year we're 1-0 with a win over Muskegon High, a powerhouse on the west side of the state
This week its Toledo Whitmer, and those guys can play.
After that its Catholic schools the rest of the way. The Catholic League Central division is probably one of the toughest in the country. Brother Rice, De La Salle, and Orchard Lake St. Mary's have all won recent state chips.
