-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

We use words like “sacrifice, dedication, winning,”...we use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending sports figures striving for greatness. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to defend Tom Brady's ethics and sportsmanship to a man who cyses a bamma who gains 30 pounds every offseason and flames out every April and May, if he even makes it that far, and then questions the actions of champions like Tom Brady. I would rather you just said congrats, and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you put down the phone, close your laptop, and stop posting. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think of Tom Brady!!!

Did he order those balls be deflated?

He did the job…

DID HE ORDER THOSE BALLS BE DEFLATED?!?!?

YOU’RE GODDAMN RIGHT HE DID!!!!

and so what if he did?!?! HE WON! #4.

your bum ass squad should try cheating. it works. take a from a fan whose pays his yearly dues to the Blue Devil Referee Bribery Association on time without fail.

the new theory going around reputable sources is the NFL is desperate to figure out how to end up with a suspension brady wouldn't have easily overturned in court.

mostly i don't care about Tom Brady and a few under-inflated footballs. NFL is doing far grimier things that I would love to see addressed.

I'm glad the NFL threw the book at him and wasn't gonna let him skate just bc of who he was. But if the legal system and whatever else he has at his disposal allows him to get off with a lighter punishment, it'll be fair.

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

Goodell is everything James Harrison says he is and more if he buckles

Patriots don't need those 4 games anyway in the AFC East.

In response to Reply # 0

“In Spygate in 2007, when Bill Belichick and the Patriots were fined – apparently there’s some language in that agreement – in that fine that ultimately handed down to him, that if something like this happened again, you’re talking about Bill Belichick being banned. Which, in some folks’ eyes may have facilitated Robert Kraft showing a willingness to accept the penance and the penalty Roger Goodell handed down to him.”

Brady's playing with fire by inviting more scrutiny. He needs to lay down. Kuz he guilty AF and so is everyone else.

I get the hardcore Boston fans going crazy over this. They are merely backing THEIR guy....I mean, they still wrong, but I get it.

But everyone else on some Free Brady/He getting a raw deal shit?....Those fools doing too much...lol

It's simple...People rarely get in trouble for their actual fuck up/crime....It's the covering up of said alleged misdeed that comes back to bite u in the aas....And destroying your phone (the NFL started off by simply asking for Brady's text in connection to Deflategate...they didn't even want dude's phone....) falls into that U KNOW U DONE FUCKED UP NOW category...

Brady Ethered himself....

http://www.patriots.com/news/2015/07/29/tom-brady-statement-goodell-ruling

edit lol - this nigga lying in paragraph 1 lol

I am very disappointed by the NFL’s decision to uphold the 4 game suspension against me. I did nothing wrong, and no one in the Patriots organization did either.
Despite submitting to hours of testimony over the past 6 months, it is disappointing that the Commissioner upheld my suspension based upon a standard that it was “probable” that I was “generally aware” of misconduct. The fact is that neither I, nor any equipment person, did anything of which we have been accused. He dismissed my hours of testimony and it is disappointing that he found it unreliable.
I also disagree with yesterdays narrative surrounding my cellphone. I replaced my broken Samsung phone with a new iPhone 6 AFTER my attorneys made it clear to the NFL that my actual phone device would not be subjected to investigation under ANY circumstances. As a member of a union, I was under no obligation to set a new precedent going forward, nor was I made aware at any time during Mr. Wells investigation, that failing to subject my cell phone to investigation would result in ANY discipline.
Most importantly, I have never written, texted, emailed to anybody at anytime, anything related to football air pressure before this issue was raised at the AFC Championship game in January. To suggest that I destroyed a phone to avoid giving the NFL information it requested is completely wrong.
To try and reconcile the record and fully cooperate with the investigation after I was disciplined in May, we turned over detailed pages of cell phone records and all of the emails that Mr. Wells requested. We even contacted the phone company to see if there was any possible way we could retrieve any/all of the actual text messages from my old phone. In short, we exhausted every possibility to give the NFL everything we could and offered to go thru the identity for every text and phone call during the relevant time. Regardless, the NFL knows that Mr. Wells already had ALL relevant communications with Patriots personnel that either Mr. Wells saw or that I was questioned about in my appeal hearing. There is no “smoking gun” and this controversy is manufactured to distract from the fact they have zero evidence of wrongdoing.
I authorized the NFLPA to make a settlement offer to the NFL so that we could avoid going to court and put this inconsequential issue behind us as we move forward into this season. The discipline was upheld without any counter offer. I respect the Commissioners authority, but he also has to respect the CBA and my rights as a private citizen. I will not allow my unfair discipline to become a precedent for other NFL players without a fight.
Lastly, I am overwhelmed and humbled by the support of family, friends and our fans who have supported me since the false accusations were made after the AFC Championship game. I look forward to the opportunity to resume playing with my teammates and winning more games for the New England Patriots.

Because Tom Shady doesn't want to let Little Jimmy play, he's going full dick-head.

Shit, if this was a real court, he'd been charged with obstruction of justice

I mean if it's one franchise only that's involved in it, it makes no sense to destroy the tapes. If the tapes implicate other franchises in collusion with the Patriots, then it makes sense to destroy the tapes. I've been of the minsdet it's of the latter which makes sense for the league doing what they did. Just my take.

And I honestly can't see it any other way.

Before you guys accuse me of being a homer, I said the same about ARod's punishment.

The union should fight this tooth and nail or Goodell gets to do whatever the hell he wants. Yes, I believe the Pats did it, I just don't believe the evidence they put together was strong enough for this punishment. I think they pushed something that they previously didn't care about because Goodell wanted to regain credibility. What better way to do that than punish your friend? There were at least 3 pieces of news they leaked that were treated like smoking guns and they were all either lies or half-true was. Didn't matter though, cause the damage was already done, and this was all about getting the public on board with Goodell again.

"11 of the 12 balls were WAY under the limit!" Wrong

"The pats didn't make their guys available for interviews." Not really accurate.

"Brady destroyed his cellphone." True, but they didn't mention this:

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/07/28/brady-offered-to-help-nfl-gather-missing-text-messages/

Notice how they always leave an important thing out every time. I've never seen a coordinated effort to make a team look bad like this before. Had they just done a thorough investigation and pregame measurements (when they were warned about this), none of this would be an issue and it wouldn't be up for debate. But they didn't, so they had to go a different route.

Of course, it would that be a lot of work to find those texts. But given the time, energy, and money they spent on this investigation it is oddly haphazard. They can't make a couple phone calls and visit some people?

Just like Selig with Arod, there wasn't a better target for this. The people involved were likely guilty and everyone hates them. He could've banned them for life and people wouldn't have thought it was too harsh.

Gooddell does abuse his power..i think he shoulda just went with an independent arb in the first place. But the courts are there for a reason, you got a case??? then use them. Justice (or something both sides are bounded to) will prevail

If Brady/the union have a case it's gonna be based on that. He should have just handed it to someone else and then if the suspension gets reduced he can say "Well, I don't like the results, but what can you do?" How could he possibly think it would look fair that he was arbitrating it?

So the only way the NFL could win was if they were as devious as the Patriots. Sounds about right.

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000504990/article/jets-fans-fly-cheaters-banner-over-patriots-practice

the reaction to this has NOT disappointed.

I'm going to Boston next week.

I should have made a T-Shirt that read: "New England Patriots: The Eagles With Cameras" (© will_5198) for this occasion. totally would have worn that shit... oh well, I will be back after this.

oh yeah:

"Metro spoke with Jason Koeppel, described by the paper as "one of the masterminds" behind the banner.

'The time has come for Tom Brady, Bill Belichick and Robert Kraft to start dealing with reality,' he explained. 'Sports fans are not stupid. We have seen this act before from disgraced former superstar athletes. People like Lance Armstrong and Ryan Braun who challenged the system after they got caught red handed. Ben Johnson, Marion Jones, A-Rod, Roger Clemens -- the list of people who lied after they got caught cheating is sadly endless.'"

You know whose name is NOT on that list?

Barry Bonds.

In response to Reply # 0

LOL

I love the fact that once Brady gets busted for anything, all the rules have to change.

Anyone else loses an appeal to Goddell, people scream on the NFLPA, saying the argument, YOU AGREED TO THIS! THIS WAS COLLECTIVELY BARGAINED! LAY IN YOUR OWN BED!, etc.

But when BRADY loses an appeal, it's THIS ISN'T GOOD FOR THE GAME! GODDELL HAS TOO MUCH POWER! THERE'S NO EVIDENCE! LOSING TOM BRADY HURTS THE LEAGUE! etc.

Bottom line is dude was defiant, destroyed evidence, and was cocky as hell about a rule. As small as the rule was, shouldn't have broken it, and damn sure should've cooperated with the investigation. Instead, you wanna be like I'm Tom Brady, I'm above all this shit, and now you wanna whine.

Fuck Brady

I don't see how that's even debatable honestly.

And as far as the rules "changing", they seem to have changed since 2009 (except they didn't and this is just a witch hunt):

but if seahawks had just submitted to beastmode, then witnessing another cheating scandal on the heels of a SB loss woulda been worthy of partying.

Besides, those documents were in the NFLPA's filing. Its not like the NFL filed that stuff.

the nflpa and brady are on record in the appeal as wanted the transcript of it out in the public.

had the relevant stuff been in public before the lawsuit, the judge might not have gone with the "everything is public!" approach. but that's a big if.
