In response to Reply # 11

*Since we have no details on this from the parties involved or the league, I'm not going to jump to conclusions and assume Hinkie knowingly withheld.

BUT, if it went down like they are implying...Hinkie should be done. Knowingly withholding an injury situation like this is some shameful shit and has no place in a pro league.

The Pels medical staff, while never accused of being the best, is not incompetent. Stress related injuries like this are incredibly difficult to pick up because of how they heal. At the time of the trade its likely the injury had healed enough to be undetectable, but still present. Jrue likely felt better and probably didn't want to rock the trade by mentioning it.

So yeah *if true*, Hinkie should have to get his Cersei Shame Strut on down bourbon street. What a gaping asshole....*if true.*

Remember when you "won" that trade? It's not a good look PR wise. But nobody knows anything. Hinkie had barely been on the job when that deal went down. And HE did pass an intense physical.

But then again, I don't look at trades as binary with a defined winner and loser. We wanted Jrue, you wanted picks. Cool, done.

THIS however, has nothing to do with winning or losing. It has to do with integrity and the competitive spirit of a professional sports league, as well as defined rules of operation.

Why would anyone want to deal with Hinkie if he's out here being a total scumbag like that? I actually hope its NOT true, because I don't want to believe an NBA GM is that much of a piece of shit.

He normally doesn't say much publicly, but he/they need to clarify this because the narrative is working against them publicly. I don't think they would either. Jrue didn't miss many games that season. And he was healthy enough his first season there. It'll all come though eventually.

But the nobody will work with this guy narrative is picking up steam. I like Jrue, but the irony that we were taking the risk with damaged goods is not lost on me.

I saw him smoke my Drexel Dragons every single time. Not sure why he was playing in an inferior conference but I'm rooting for him. Seems to always make the best play and can easily get to his spots.

I respect the Celtics scouting department and I hope he torch Smart every chance he gets in practice and also heats up the summer league.

Coach K? Solid choice.

Billy Donovan? Sure.

Sean Miller? Hey maybe you like the weather.

Izzo? Good coach. You'll be there a while, but still a good choice. He'll prepare you to stick.

Roy Williams? Maybe you don't like class. But whatever. Good pick.

Bill Self? C'mon top recruit. Josh Selby wasn't long ago. He made Wiggins look ehh. Oubre ehh. Alexander like garbage.

especially when you factor in what all that talentless done in college or the NBA.

So either he has great skill at getting overrated talent to sign, he has bad luck with the prospects he signs not being up to snuff, or he does a poor job prepping them and getting them ready for the next level.

In response to Reply # 0

Note to Deandre: you are good at exactly one thing on offense, the pick and roll. And you need a PG to do it.

But, no, go to Dallas so you can post up a lot. See how that works out.

http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/nba/story/_/id/13174502/deandre-jordan-seeking-four-year-deal-opt-clause-sources

Free agent DeAndre Jordan is likely looking to sign a four-year deal that allows him to opt out after three seasons, which would nullify the Los Angeles Clippers' advantage in keeping the center, sources told ESPN on Tuesday.

The Clippers could offer Jordan a deal that includes a fifth year worth $27 million.

EDITOR'S PICKS

Mavs thinking big with DeAndre Jordan
DeAndre Jordan wants a bigger role. Music to the Mavs' ears. They hope to convince him that a move to Dallas is the key to reaching his potential.
Sources, though, told ESPN that Jordan wants a bigger role in the offense and is tired of being a third wheel behind Chris Paul and Blake Griffin with the team.

Jordan will meet with the Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks, New York Knicks and the Clippers once free agency begins Wednesday at 12:01 a.m. ET, sources told ESPN.

Sources had told ESPN.com earlier this week that the Mavericks are considered the likeliest team to persuade Jordan to leave the Clippers, and a source close to the situation told ESPN on Tuesday that it's "50/50" between the two teams.

Jordan Rises To The Occasion

DeAndre Jordan's value to the Los Angeles Clippers increased dramatically when Blake Griffin wasn't on the court, especially during last season when Griffin missed 15 games.

Source: Elias Sports Bureau
Jordan finished first in the league in field goal percentage (.710) and rebounds per game (15.0) in 2014-15. He was the first player to do so in back-to-back seasons since Wilt Chamberlain in 1971-72 and 1972-73. Jordan's field goal percentage was the second highest in NBA history behind Chamberlain's .727 in 1972-73.

Clippers coach Doc Rivers made the case for Jordan to be named the Defensive Player of the Year for much of the season, but he finished third in the voting for the second consecutive season. The 26-year-old center was, however, named to the All-NBA third team for the first time in his career.

Jordan became the only player in NBA history to average at least 13 rebounds per game while shooting at least 70 percent from the field in a single postseason as the Clippers fell one win short of their first conference finals berth.

While Jordan averaged a career-high 11.5 points per game last season, he shot just 39.7 percent from the free throw line and is a career 41.7 percent shooter there. While "Hack-a-Jordan" has become a common practice for opponents, the Clippers are 12-0 during the regular season when Jordan attempts 14 or more free throws.

on these boards, and I happen to like Chris Pual as a player and I don't get half the grief his gets on these boards, but for DeAndre to want to leave the Clippers has to speak to how much he dislikes Chris Paul, right? Not that the team doesn't have it's flaws, but the Clippers seems like the perfect spot from DeAndre's standpoint. Primetime media presence, he gets to fully maximize his defensive strengths, and he gets to play for a top caliber coach that fully appreciates him in Doc Rivers.

But hey, maybe dude is the second coming of Hakeem Olajuwon like he thinks he is and can do more with the basketball on the offensive end.

having deandre to roll and dirk to spot up could be good for Jeremy's career, but that one's tough to reconcile cause i fuckin' hate Dallas. You put him in a situation where he does the one thing he's really good at. He's no CP3, but with all the other weapons it would be a good offense. If they somehow add LMA to that mix too, pushing Dirk to the 6th man role he's been clamoring for, that'd really make them tough.

The Lakers were at least the hometown team I rooted for as a kid.
