"Who were the best post-up guards of all time?"

Post 'em up.

Thinking of ten off the top of my head, I love Gary Payton and Jordan's post games growing up. Kobe was very good at it. Oscar Robertson punished people on the box. Dennis Johnson for sure. Magic, obviously, I mean it was almost unfair when he got some point guards on the box. Sidney Moncrief and Adrian Dantley come to mind. Dantley was so strong, Alex English was kind of the finesse version of him inside but I dunno if he'd be in my top 10. Drexler was nice, good size, footwork and explosiveness. There's got to be someone I am overlooking so I'll leave it at 9.

There's guys who used it a lot and/or were good at it like Deron, JJ, Mark Jackson, Andre Miller and Bonzi Wells. Jeff Malone had a cool little post game, loved his mid range shot, same kinda deal with Ricky Pierce. Rolando Blackman, Otis Birdsong and Andrew Toney stick out.

And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

Watching them back guys down for half the shot clock was boring as shit, and I loved Charles.

Jackson had an interesting way of doing his thing though, I admit that. He kind of combined the big man style of posting with the guard style, he mostly used his post ups to draw a defender and make a pass to his man or for a quick second pass to the whoever was left open when they rotated.

And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

Jackson had zero athleticism left, at all, and was a PLAYMAKER
from the post, ran those Indiana teams that were just not
quite good enough about as well as they could be run

There's a reason Reggie Miller loves Jackson so much, he
owes a good bit of that success to him

So it's a lot to be proud of

Give respect

Barkley had a bad back and couldn't run or jump anymore. For a point guard those skills were always lacking for Jackson and he had even less later. He knew a lot of tricks, he was good shooting floaters and shit, too, worked on a lot of details in his game.

And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

I have horrible memories of watching Mack Jackson post-up Charlie Ward and backing him down for a good 5-8 second clip. Tough stuff to stomach. It was good strategy from Mark Jackson's perspective since he had a good 30-40 pound advantage on Mr. Heisman.

I didn't even know that was a violation till they called that on me in 2k. I shut that ish off in the settings with the quickess

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

Dude had absolutely no business scoring as much as he did well into his later 30s and the post game was a big part with his midrange game in that.

as was Mitch Richmond, who used to give Jordan HELL in the post, and was probably the 3rd best guard of the 90s, but is COMPLETELY overlooked

He was a victim of playing on many shitty to average teams, that also happened to be franchises no one gave a shit about. Even if he could have played for a bad franchise with some exposure, like the Nets or Clippers, he would get more respect.
