On last week's episode of "The Ropes" (Grantland's boxing podcast), Willie Monroe Jr said that he'd been hit by more powerful punches than GGG's, but he'd never been hit by a glove before.
I've preciously questioned GGG's "heavy-handedness". I've seen him buckle people with what were essentially arm punches. Curiouser and curiouser.

This shit happens. I'm not saying this is proof positive, but I find it curious that we're so quick to dismiss the claims of two separate opponents who say the exact same thing. Both fighters say that they've been hit as hard or harder in the past, but Golovkin's gloves felt different. These men have been hit with boxing gloves countless times. I'm going to trust they know what gloves are supposed to feel like.

You said Supposed to. Like any boxer whose been hit countless time by gloves just has it ingrained what a glove should feel like. Thats what "supposed to" assumes.

So yea ... Padding missiNg when gloves are sealed means a greater conspiracy. This camp couldn't magically remove padding. Not saying it's not possible but it means lots of people would be involved.
