"Top 10 plea cops for a 2nd round Cavs loss in the 2015 playoffs:"

The obvious:
#10 - http://tinyurl.com/mywavylocksbro + http://tinyurl.com/ouchyowwee = job security.
No Love in Boston next year: http://tinyurl.com/bostonarmbar

#9 - "JR Smith been dumb. We knew it would come out eventually."
http://tinyurl.com/even-JR-like-FOH

The "Digging a little deepers":
#8 - The bench old as dirt. The King couldn't carry them AARP members to the promisedland. http://tinyurl.com/Bron-wit-old-person

#7 - Tristan can't shoot 3's. http://tinyurl.com/TTmissedshot

#6 - Shump missed a lot of 3's.
http://tinyurl.com/when-shump-missed

#5 - The Kang is playing with a bunch of similac babies with no playoff experience. http://tinyurl.com/LeBayBays

#4 - It's just year 1. http://tinyurl.com/african-side-eye

The "Nitty-Gritty":
#3 - But David Blatt tho...
http://tinyurl.com/coach-Ks-afflicted-brother

#2 - Kyrie don't pass/Bron quit <--The point where LeBronon's Tea Party contingent turns on Kyriea and Kyriea turns it into an arms race. http://tinyurl.com/u-kno-damn-well-its-yo-fault

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand, the #1 plea cop for a Cavs 2nd round loss:

#1 - Dion fault: Had they traded him before the season, Cavs woulda got the #1 seed and had to play Brooklyn instead of the goonin' ass Celtics.
http://tinyurl.com/strut-on-em
http://tinyurl.com/strut-sum-mo

http://tinyurl.com/yup-uh-huh-yup

Guns are cocked and loaded and I'm ready to die for mines: http://tinyurl.com/jihad-di-doddy

Oh and for the record, My Bulls fan plea cop been in my sig since before the season started: Ya'll right, we don't stand a chance. Yup, Rose knee.

^^^Never stood a chance...right?

http://tinyurl.com/yup-uh-huh-yup

Monday is upon us. (Kudos to Silver for moving that game from Saturday to Monday)

Thanks. I appreciate that fam. Just because this agenda stuff is full throttle, doesn't mean we can't be civil.

And even though I know that was dripping in scathing sarcasm, it is what it is. Hopefully we find a good/better coach to replace him (if they let him go...a win over the Cavs might change minds).

There's talent out there though...I mean last year netted Kerr, Budz, Kidd switching teams, Hollins, Hornacek, Van Gundy, Stevens.

So it's not like we can't find a good one. Just has to be the right guy. There will options, and good ones.

Y'all *have* to win or the entire team is blown up - coach gone - trades made - and who knows what else. Bulls been desperate for years now so I fully expect them to fight and claw their way through this series, and they *should* win against the inexperienced, depleted 1st year Cavs team.

If the Bulls don't win?

#YIKES

Go UnderDawgs.

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

When Bron migrated north last summer, we were told "y'all don't stand a chance, Rose (knee)".

And low and behold, 21 missed games with knee surgery. Played 5 total games in the last 3 months before the playoffs started.

Rose (knee).

They GAVE us ours.

But the Cavs? lol Especially after the mid-season trade? LOL

Oh and this is also a ditto of Vex's post so #4 remix.

they already scared of Bron. That's a given.

then they gotta deal with Ky hitting a quick 4/5 threes in a quarter or some shyt.

tristan outbamming noah.

t-mo just being plain ol' big.

shump locking up that mechanic.

bron either locking up rose and bron not even being needed to lock up rose.

i flat out ain't impressed by that team. i was mad what love's injury meant for a title run, not this shyt.

i mean pau could always average 40.

And I thought they had a better team before the Cavs made their moves.

They have everything they ever wanted. A post presence. Still have Taj. Have a young rookie big. Noah is playing. Rose is playing. Jimmy is an all star.

And the Cavs is learning on the fly.

Yet, nobody would say anything.

And now Love is hurt.

And their coach is gonna leave.

So they HAVE to win. And they know it.

This ^^^^^ is house money Brother Dukie.....

Also see: Cleveland being the favorites even with the Love injury and JR gone for two games...

Also see: Rose's return, which NO ONE thought was going to even happen so soon or so fast or AT ALL....

Also see: Bulls organization and Thibs being at a Crossroads with the understanding that he is gone after this season....

When the blow-up of your team is on the horizon and you are the Vegas underdogs (Most betting lines r going with the Cavs, as much as the homie Vex and the like try to gloss over that reality) and you are being led by a former MVP coming off three knee surgeries who was pronounced dead, then yeah: HOUSE MONEY....

Bulls got nothing to lose....

Bron and the Cavs though? That's a different story....

Bron, who is quite possibly the most scrutinized (at times unfairly) professional athlete came back to his hometown to win a ring...Dude farts and people dissect it....

So......

Bron is the best player in the league. Bron wins and you will read the following: THE BEST PLAYER IN THE LEAGUE LEADING HIS TEAM TO THE EC FINALS IN THE WEAK EAST? NOT AT ALL A SHOCKER, BRON SHOULD WIN IN THE EAST EVERY YEAR....

But if Bron loses? You will read a shit load of articles and think pieces about how Bron has lost his step....How he can never win the big one without a stacked team (somewhat unfair criticism I might add...)...How Bron and Kyrie wasn't enough....

Bulls? They blowing the team up anyway whether they win it all or not.....House Money...

GOAT of his era......long live Prince.....God is alive....

and now - given the Love injury and J.R. suspension - even more experts are picking the Bulls.

Vegas had the Cavs as the favorites before they even played a game. So if you want to us that as a barometer, go ahead.

Vex...I don't go around calling people on this here board liars....And I won't start now, homie....U good, entertaining folks...

But let me say...U doing too much with this Cavs underdog shit...lol Damn near every sports outlet had the Cavs winning WITH Love and now without him....

Deal with it...embrace it. Bron is the best player in the league. Nigga the new age Magic....He took Boobie and Side Show Bob to a Finals....The ultimate teammate still in his prime should be able to lead his squad against a team who is leaning heavy on a 6'3 PG coming off of THREE knee surgeries...

Something about heavy, head and crown....

that's just not true. Countless experts picked the Bulls to beat the Cavs and win the East when the season began -- again -- with the caveat that "if they are healthy" --

Bulls are healthy. Cavs are depleted. Many are picking the Bulls.

Just last night - Jalen Rose, Kenny Smith, Doug Collins, and Barkley picked the Bulls - and many more will as well.

I mean at the end of the day it doesn't matter who picks who to win - the best team will win...but the Bulls are full-strength and the Cavs are not. So it is what it is.

But let's not forget that at the beginning of the season - virtually nobody picked the Cavs to win the East, let alone win it all.

They picking the Cavs down TWO key rotation players (3 if you count Andy)...NOPE! IT COUNTS!

I'm taking points. ALL the points.

So I'm double-doubling down. Matter of fact, one hand tied behind his back, blind folded with the back up SG starting....CAVS 4-1."

Bulls have been up and down all year. Astute observers have no idea which Bulls team will show up on a given night:

‏@KCJHoop
Also, discrepancy between Games 5, 6 is why season-long observers have given up trying to figure out Bulls. Nothing would surprise vs. Cavs.

There's also this:

‏@KCJHoop
Game 1 will mark 1st time this season Bulls will start Rose, Butler, Dunleavy, Noah and Gasol vs. Cavs

Like I've said in a previous post, I expect them to not play like assholes. Have no idea if that's enough to win. What I do know is that Rose will need to be consistent every game. One or two days rest doesn't matter. That rust gonna need to be gone all series. No more duds.

YOU yourself picked them as the champs year 1. THAT doesn't indicate an underdog idiot. It indicates FAVORITE.

At the start of the year, after the Love trade, I'd say it was probably %50 Bulls will win the east if healthy and %50 Cavs will win because the Bulls are never healthy.

Then the season started and the Cavs made some trades and won like 18 of 20 games and the Bulls struggled and then Derrick Rose (knee) happened.

Insert Cavs as favorites again. Not only for the east but for the title.

Cavs have a higher seed and better record, best player on the planet, Ky gone Ky, Mozgod, Shump, bamma ass TT and eventually JR...but somehow they the underdog?

And FTR, an underdog has to be a majority consensus and most people are split down the middle on this series.

But you keep on cowering bandwagoning front runner. Makes it all the better when they lose.

Vegas rolling with the Cavs, at least in the East....Can my Bulls beat the (literal) odds? We will see....Let's go!

-----
Cavs still have second best odds to win NBA Title

http://www.waitingfornextyear.com/2015/04/nba-championship-odds-cleveland-cavaliers/

Despite no longer having power forward Kevin Love at their disposal, the Cleveland Cavaliers, who are the second seed in the Eastern Conference, still have the second best odds to be crowned as the NBA Champions at 12-5, according to Las Vegas. The 12-5 odds are second to the Golden State Warriors, who moved ahead of the wine and gold following the injury, and now have 8-5 odds of winning it all, according to Bovada Sportsbook.

Before the postseason began, Westgate Superbook listed the Cavaliers with 9-4 odds, the best odds for any playoff team. The Warriors were second at 5-2 with only the San Antonio Spurs given anything greater than a 10 percent shot. Without one of their stars in Love, the Cavaliers now have a much tougher road of bringing Cleveland their first championship since 1964, but obviously, it is still very possible.

With arguably the best player in the world, LeBron James, and one of the best point guards in the NBA, Kyrie Irving, the Cavaliers can never be count out and Vegas realizes that. Helping matters is the perpetually crowded Western Conference that will weed out several tough teams over the course of the next few weeks.

Cleveland is awaiting the winner of the Chicago Bulls and Milwaukee Bucks series, in which the Bulls currently lead the series, 3-to-2. The winner of that series will travel to Cleveland to take on the wine and gold in the Eastern Conference semifinals beginning Monday night.

Nah....Just trying to call out the bullshit some of your brethren are pushing about the Bulls being favorites.......

The truth is we don't know what kind of Bulls team we will see, Captain Agenda. This is literally the first game against the Cavs in which we will see Rose, Dunny, Pau, the Mechanic, and Noah together....So yeah, this is all new and kind of uncertain. But u gotta have that faith, right?

That's what rooting for an actual NBA team and not just one player is all about...Try it sometime, Cap...U just might like it...

U root for Duke players of all stripes.....And that's okay...U can root for whoever u want Cap....

If Ky was playing for the Bobcats u would be praying that Big Al could stay healthy...lol...That's what we are really talking about here...

So that's why I don't get too serious over some of your crazy-man postings...Accusing Bulls fans of partying off of injuries....Acting like it's now or never for the Bulls when it was that way even BEFORE this matchup....Using Dunny as your latest Dukie proxy for the THAT'S WHY I HATE THE BULLS AND THEIR FANS bullshit....

It's all there. But even with all that u good folk.....Just unhinged at times when the subject turns to Duke and the Bulls...But good folk nonetheless...

It's a common misconception that drives me crazy. I just pointed it out to you rather than the number of people who said it in this thread because you were the last to say it.

It's similar to the "Well the Cavs should have just signed Love and not traded for him". Which is impossible.

Relax.

You're right that odds are set to get equal activity on both sides. But doesn't that then reveal what people think?

If you have to give the Bulls a bunch of points in order for people to take the bet, that means that most people think the Cavs will win straight up.

To entice some Cavs imbalance over to the Bulls side, the have to make it a "fair" bet

That's a pretty bold prediction because the Bulls are an anomaly this year, but I think this team just wants to beat Brawn badly. Each team will embrace the underdog role, maybe rightfully so, but the Bulls core will take it personal having lost to Brawn 3 times in the playoffs. Now is their best chance to beat him and if they fail, changes will be made.

Things to Watch:

- Kyrie can't score on Rose. I've been saying it for months now, and Rose will prove it this series. Ky made some noise while Rose was injured, and usurped the starting role on the USA Team, but now Rose will square off head to head against him for a whole series. Kyrie can't score on Rose. Bombastic, if you're still interested in donating some money to the cause, let me know.

- The most important matchup in this series will be Butler vs. Brawn. Jimmy mentioned after Game 5 that he needs to get back to defense, and that will be huge in this series. He needs to make Brawn work for all of his shots, while going at him on the offensive end. Go at Shumpert as well, he's no match for Jimmy.

- Rebounding. I expect Noah to have some big rebounding games, and Pau has to step up his offensive production and not be a whiny, soft bitch like he was in a lot of the Milwaukee series. If you're going to switch on defense then everybody needs to find a man to box out. Especially against Tristan Thompson, who has killed us in the past. The Bulls also need to attack the rim without fear of Mozgov, and Gasol needs to handedly win that matchup.

- Bench play. The Bulls bench needs to outplay Cleveland's bench. Aaron Brooks & Mike "Goon Squad" Dunleavy need to at least have one, 18 point + game each. Thibs cut his rotations short to get the pivotal win in Game 6, but he'll need to give some playing time to Snelly Cat and Niko to see what they can do. Those are two shooters that can hit big shots when their confidence is high. They'll need the opportunity for that.

- Thibs vs. Blatt. Thibs is coaching for his job right now. He got outcoached in Games 2-5 against Kidd and will need to make adjustments in game and between games to keep the Cavs on their heels.

Real excited for this series. It'll be a lot different from the Milwaukee series and I think it's the best chance the Bulls have to beat Brawn in the playoffs since they've faced him. I'm going to Osaka for a couple of days so I won't see Game 1 til Wednesday, but we ready. This is the matchup Bulls fans been dreaming about for years, our guys need to go out there and play their hearts out.

Bulls in 6
Kyrie can't score on Rose

I purposely don't follow the 24hr sports cycle and ignore most "reports", articles, blogs, etc. I tend to think the whole rift between Thibs & Management is totally overblown. They don't have to be best friends or always get along. Sometimes they will butt heads but that's normal for GM's and coaches. It's been hyped up for years because Chicago is a big market, writers are too unoriginal to come up with something else, and guys like Jeff Van Gundy talk out of their asses.

The only two guys I read are KC Johnson and Sam Smith (though his never-ending puns infuriate me) every once in a while. I just read a column of Smith's, who has been around the team for centuries and seems to have a good read on things, where he wrote in response to a fan question about Thibs' future:

"I’ve felt from the start of the season with the personnel changes, Rose and Noah’s injuries and the rotation changes and rookie additions this was a two-year run for this group. It’s not as easy as people think to blend a group, and this one is very different. I’d like to see them all together for the two seasons to see if they can get there."

I agree with him on that point. Although I've thought at times this season that Thibs' overdemanding style has finally worn on the players, it's not really smart to break his contract on a year when he's barely had a healthy starting lineup. This is one of the Top 10 coaches in the league and he's earned the respect and trust from the core group. Even if they hate each other, Thibs wants to win a championship in Chicago and the FO isn't ready to start a rebuild. Give him one more year and see what he can do with a healthy, more mature squad.

It all comes down to the rest of the playoffs though. I'd say if he loses to the Cavs in 6 or under he's gone, but if he beats the Cavs he stays.

U don't have to....It's right under your nose, my dude....Even before they got into it about the heavy minutes Thibs was giving his starters the writing was on the wall when the Bulls front office CLIPPED his assistant coach. In the NBA this is largely viewed as a middle finger to a head coach...It's rarely done....When they didn't re-up him this year it was obvious what was happening...

This is not about a 24 hour sports cycle. It's about trusting local news sources and knowing people close to the situation (My dude Scoop can tell u the WHOLE story)....

Basically Thibs and the Bulls FO have real contempt for each other....Winning or Losing won't matter at this point...

LMAO...if Bron had just missed 2 months of the season and only got 5 reg season games in afterward (under minutes restrictions at that) and had an up and down series against a lower seed...

There would be 175,368,290 PLEAS as to why his team wouldn't win. Just to hedge, because you know...KANG.

I'm a LeBronon visa holder but the tea party of this group makes me want to give that sh*t back fam.

But it's cool...ya'll keep with the keep on.

I'm gonna lump this in with #4.

More pressure is on the team assembled to bring a title to Clev. On the best player in the world who's entire career currently is championship or bust, who's ALWAYS in the MVP convo, who forces lottery teams to make blockbuster trades for title hopes.

It's title or bust for clev more than chi (though it's still title or bust for chi).

>EVERYTHING is in their favor right now. If they lose this,
>hell they're never ever ever going to beat Lebron.

How is everything in their favor when Clev has homecourt and the best two players in the series (hi Basa)? Noah is still hobbling from offseason knee surgery last summer (they had to rest him most of the last 10 games of the season), Niko is still recovering from his injury vs the Bucks, Kirk just got back from injury and Rose has played 11 games since late Feb.

The ONLY thing chi has on Clev right now is a healthier full roster (but not 100% healthy by any means). It should speak volumes that down 2 starters people are STILL picking the Cavs to beat us in 6-7 games...casual fans, to pundits. ESPN actually had 15 contributors pick the series and of the 15, 10 picked the Cavs.

What I do agree with is barring some out of the blue crazy trade, we probably will never beat LeBron if not this season. And I think we will.

But I hope you're right. Personally, I think they'll miss Love's 3 ball ahead of his rebounding. Tristan is a good rebounder (and seems to kill us on the O boards every game). They lose some depth with Love out but they'll be fine on the boards. Us being able to shut down driving lanes with additional help is the bigger advantage. Tristan might get 16-18 off of dump offs but Love could get 25-35 on a hot night employing the same defensive strategy.

is gonna be tough too. We saw Miami do it with success (Bron was on Duncan in finals some and guarded David West in the ECF). I ain't afraid of nothing in this series tho. Just saying the rebounding advantage wont be as wide if we have to match up.

107. "They gonna throw Mozgod on him"
In response to Reply # 103

dude don't be stupid about this.

Pau -> Mozgod
Noah/Taj/Niko -> Bron (since Noah don't post, it'll be easy and if Bron can hold his own against D. West, he can guard Taj or Niko)
Dunny -> Marion/Miller or Shump when JR returns
Jimmy -> Shump games 1 & 2, JR when he returns
Rose -> Kyrie

The Cavs 5 match up on D, on O we have a mismatch at the 4. Which means, we have to bench Noah/Taj/Niko and play Snell possibly (though I think Thibs will try to stick with Taj first) to match up.

Pau->Mozgod
Jimmy->Bron
Dunny->Marion/Miller or Shump when JR returns
Snell->Shump/JR
Rose->Kyrie

NOTHING about this says we have a rebounding advantage.

Mil ain't Clev. Different skillsets, different players. Cavs shoot the 3 lights out, Mil couldn't. You need a big who can cover the perimeter and Noah on Bron ain't gonna work.

LOL. Bulls couldn't even win a game 6 at home sans love and irving.

Bye-bye. Bulls whole team bout to implode. Whole core/team defeated by Era of Kang, conclusively.

Edit: The guy who knows nothing about basketball picked Cavs in game 6.

Always wanted to do this. Fuck both these teams tho. I bet a coworker at the beginning of the season $100 the Cavs wouldn't make the finals. Might as well pay him next week.
