Hmmm...

Team 1: 45-37

-Starting (allstar) PG(42) and SG(21) missed a combined 63 games.
-Star player missed 14 games (team record 6-8 in games missed).
-Played in THIS years west conference where the avg wins for a playoff team is 54.
-16, 13, 14, 13 (avg ppg for the next 4 scorers behind star) .

Team 2: 33-49

-Starting C missed 17 games after replacing starting C who played 24 games (started 19) but allstar SF traded to team for ailing C and played 40 games midway through season.
-Star player missed 11 games (team record 5-6).
-Played in LAST years east conference where the avg wins for a playoff team was 41.
-15, 14, 11, 13 (avg ppg for the next 4 scorers behind star).

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

I can see where u r coming from....U throw a tough argument....

I think A. Davis just vaulted to no. 3 on that MVP vote. Anyone that has him lower is just hating at this point....But I'm sure the push back for your Brow a winner/Kyrie not agenda can be summed up like this:

Brow is nearly 7 feet. Uncle Drew is a shooting PG who barely tops 6'3...Brow can affect the game in so many other ways than just scoring. The big man being compared to the PG is always a shaky premise....If Kyrie isn't putting the ball through the basket his impact is minimal...

The agenda that works (and I've seen this from the Kyrie critics) is the kid's past issues with making his teammates better. Ky seemed to have problems passing the ball. No one says dude had to be Stockton. I always hated people trying to make him into something he is not in era when that pass-first style seemed antiquated and not a true recipe to winning TODAY. But Kyrie showed he could be a chronic ball hog. I think that may be the real reason he was unable to lead that Deng-added team to the playoffs in the weak east. He was a dazzling offensive force who seemingly had issues raising the levels of the players that surrounded him....

But comparing a big man to a PG, as tempting as it is, seems a bit over kill.....It seems now Kyrie is free to be who he really is: A sweet shooting, crazy handle, scoring machine who, because of Bron's leadership and PG style of play, no longer has to make his teammates better...Now he can just dominate on the offensive end and make clutch shots....

In other words, it's not an easy agenda to blast off...

GOAT of his era......long live Prince.....God is alive....

I peeped that a while back, city pride and all so I'm cool with it.

But really just lol @ anyone ever thinking Kyrie is a better basketball player than AD. Literally nothing supports that, statistically or otherwise.
So I dunno if this is just Ba bait, or if people are actually out there suggesting it.

Good shit nonetheless tho.

The thing about Chicago heads is we talk even more about our Chicago high school teams...There are older folks on this board (like myself) that can give you a play by play on Marcus Liberty leading King to that '86 State championship. Or How Simeon was killing fools with Rose at point...

Anthony, though, was a bit of a curve pitch for Chi heads. Because he didn't play for a big high school (There's a reason the kid was trying his best to transfer out of Perspectives charter school....That program was non existent)...

It was only until the scouts started sniffing around that the Chi ball heads got put on to him....By the time he chose Kentucky Chi heads claimed him....

Only thing I missed on was his offensive development (wasn't a lot there to show he'd be this good on O at the time).

And I MADE an assertion...dula wasn't around for that post but I'm sure he wouldn't have gone bananas with his either.

And LMAO when YOU were hedging:

"A 7 time All-Star. Multiple All-Defensive Teams. Not a Franchise player in the traditional sense, but will become a solid player on the offensive end based on his quickness and shooting touch.

If he plays the 3, he'll be giving your favorite wing scorer fits."

I at least gave him a D-Poy and put him at 18ppg. If I don't deserve shares, neither do you hahahaha

Stop it my dude. I've been with AD = the future since 2013 and been a supporter when he was at UK (go search for the game thread when UK played UNC that year or any of the tourney talk if it's still around). I ain't saying I deserve a lions share of the shares, but I'm a steakholder whether you like it or not.

Indeed....when it comes to Chicago basketball we claim early and often....Because Depaul is dead and Illinois is no longer a powerhouse, Chicago basketball fans, beyond the Bulls, are CRAZY for high school ball...U talking about a city that cared more about Ben Wilson when he was alive than what the Chicago Bulls were doing even with a young MJ on the team...

That's why we kind of give a blank stare to college basketball fans trying to claim our players. We don't care about Kentucky, Duke, Memphis, Louisville, ect UNLESS we have a Chicago boy on the team....

It's that simple....

Yes....we cape for those players....WHEN THEY COME BACK HOME....

Marcus Liberty's pro career ain't worth a damn...but when he would come back to the Chi dude was treated like he was MJ...Fin Dawg gets props in the Chi....A lot. We care about what he did in HS because the rivalries there are pretty hardcore...His pro career def. made us proud. But there are heads that believe his HS and street ball play was waaaaay more important...

We don't go ra-ra for college ball anymore...not since the Lou-Do days....We care about high school and the Bulls....That's it...

Now as I said in a previous post, Anthony Davis is an outlier...Because he played for a school that NOBODY was aware of....That's why his team was trying to get him to transfer to a powerhouse school. We (Chicago heads) only started to notice Davis until the college people started sniffing around and proclaimed him to be a no. 1 stud. Once he got accepted to Kentucky it was a wrap....Chi heads claimed him....

GOAT of his era......long live Prince.....God is alive....

That was all you needed to see.

He also cleverly disguised the Dion Poison Factor by sandwiching him in between Alonzo Gee and Samardo Samuels or some shit.

Gordon and Tyreke alone does it for me. Nevermind Asik being one of the best defensive big men in the league.

Tyreke Evans vs. Dion Waiters
Omer Asik vs. Tristan Thompson
Jrue Holiday vs. Cavs-year Luol Deng (played the same number of games)
Eric Gordon vs. Jarrett Jack
Ryan Anderson vs. Anderson Varejao
Dante Cunningham vs. Matthew Dellavedova (or Alonzo Gee... your pick)
Alexis Ajinca vs. Earl Clark (or rookie year Anthony Bennett... your pick)

... these are comparable? The only one I'd *maybe* give the Cavs is Tristan. And when Tristan is your one *maybe* victory...

>Tyreke Evans vs. Luol Deng
We not talking about 'same number of games played'. We are talking quality of the roster relative to playoff run.

Was Reke this yr better than Deng last year? I'll concede on that but Deng was just fine in Chicago before the trade (19/7/3 on 45% shooting).

>Omer Asik vs. Tristan Thompson
Tristan last yr = 11/9 and .4blks, .5stls
vs
Asik this yr = 7/9 and .7blks, .4stls

C'mon fam

>Jrue Holiday vs. Jarrett Jack
Jrue better but Jack had a good season as a reserve and GTM would have similar numbers to Jrue's this season.

>Eric Gordon vs. Dion Waiters
Gordon this year is a smidge better that Dion last year

>Ryan Anderson vs. Anderson Varejao
Healthy Andy >>> Healthy Ryan (Andy plays both sides of the ball well)

>Dante Cunningham vs. Matthew Dellavedova (or Alonzo Gee...
>your pick)

LOL

>Alexis Ajinca vs. Earl Clark (or rookie year Anthony
>Bennett... your pick)

LOL #2 and you should probably include Bynum & Hawes here, both of which I'd take over Ajinca.

>... these are comparable? The only one I'd *maybe* give the
>Cavs is Tristan. And when Tristan is your one *maybe*

Now factor in last years East vs this years West.

Brow is better than Kyrie because he is. It's not more complex than that.

The roster argument actually HURTS the point you're trying to make, because you're wrong in saying those rosters are comparable. You're allowing for context for the Pelicans players (they were hurt! etc) and removing them entirely for the Cavs players (if he was healthy! he used to be better than! etc). Literally everyone here sees what's happening, lol.

Besides, this isn't even an agenda post. It's a post aimed for one person. You could've just inboxed him, lol. Because absolutely no one else would argue against the core point. However, by introducing the insane roster argument, you've given people something to argue about, because you're wrong and everyone else is laughing at that point. So as a result, this post will do numbers--- which I assume must have been your goal, as logic doesn't seem to be the aim here. So good work in that regard.

Teams have injuries. Brow got his squad to the promised land through his teams...Unc Drew did not. Even if Pellies roster is better (and it ain't by as much as you dudes are trying to make it out to be) the strength of conference evens it out. So you all can argue semantics to avoid the point if you want but it's futile in an agenda post.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The agenda...retroactive poop squatting to further drive home 'fake franchise player' of Unc Drew (until he does something as a leader/best player on a playoff team...which Brow did in year 3 and Drew has yet to do). Ya know because these lists get brought up and these things go back SEASONS Frank.

Funny how you don't come into a Basa post and tell him it ain't agenda posting when he singles out a stance made by one or few posters and retroactively slams it. But I get it...pieces of Dukey must stick together through a**holia.

Cool.

Duke players? Especially ones I believe in? Especially against lousy irrelevant arguments? Yeah, I'll talk about it.

Like I said, this post was transparently aimed at one person, tied together with a silly argument that involved a ton of players with some bizarre cysage and fact manipulation sprinkled in for agenda fun. I get it. But it became more of a "Tristan > Asik" and "Deng > Holiday" or whatever else post at that point, imo. The "hold Kyrie accountable" agenda is totally viable... but comparing him to a player who is clearly better that no one would argue against and using their respective supporting rosters as the basis? Like I said, feels forced. Just say "he's better for obvious, non-supporting-roster reasons. Period." But hey, it's a slow Thursday. Might as well toss something of interest in the crockpot.

I also don't think you should be surprised that Duke guys will be regularly cysed by the Butane Bliminals Symphony duo at this point and anti-Duke sentiment will be equally combatted. Now, that Lavine > Wiggins nonsense? You saw me with the True Detective gif in that post quickly, lol.

I just tied that bow up for him. I didn't pull this out of thin air. You must not be visiting the links I'm supplying so:

"speakin of ant davis. i'm on that this year. playoffs or else. "

all i see is a giant pass given to him. he been MORE injury prone than kyrie and he ain't made the playoffs.

same way kyrie got knocked down a peg this year, i expect the same treatment for AD.

he need to carry them bums to the playoffs."

^^^
1)Called the pelicans bums (legit)
2)Called AD injury prone to plea cop Unc Drew's injury proneness
3)Laid out the barometer of 3rd yr success being the measure for peg knocking

So...since Brow did what Unc Drew could not given VERY similar circumstances, I'm taking POINTS fam. Sorry. Fair game.

All of that still doesn't make the Pels' supporting cast equal to or worse than the Cavs. At all. Him playing a bum card and losing doesn't make the supporting cast equivalency argument any better. That's what I take umbrage with. The rest of it? Y'all have fun.

Okay, then say that. Don't spout the dumb shit about roster equivalency! lol. That's all I'm saying! You wanna call him a fake franchise player, cool! Nothing can disprove that at this point, sadly. I don't think he's a fake, but that's my take. I have no hard data to back that up.

By that definition, Rose wasn't, because they never made the Finals. If you change it to "title contender," then okay. That gives you hard data-- wins to point to. Then again, people can point to multiple All-Star supporting cast... but hey, that goes back to an argument I'm not interesting in engaging in. I'm focusing on the one argument that is incredibly easy to make-- the Pelicans' supporting cast is, objectively, easily better than the Cavs' supporting cast post-to-pre-Bron. All your other arguments, Godspeed to you.

I didn't create that definition. Guess who?

And Cast = semantics. Relative to the conference, Unc Drew had enough. The talent was comparable. Dion avg'd 15ppg and shot 36% from 3 last year, Tristan had better offensive AND defensive stats than Asik, Andy is JUST AS GOOD AS Ryan Anderson considering he's a better defender, Deng was as good as tyreke last year (Nope, not hearing otherwise) and injury Jrue was about as comparable to Jack (all the major players covered).

CAVS PLAYED IN THE EAST ON TOP OF THAT.

Sorry, it counts.

There's no back and forth needed, homie...I'm just saying u doing waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much. There's too many landmines to tip toe over for you to be beating on your chest like this....

Hell, I would be less offended if you pulled Russy out of your back pocket on this agenda. The only thing Kyrie has proven is 1)He's a damn good guard with a killer jumper and handles (which we knew already)...and 2) His game has truly blossomed playing next to the best player of his generation....

That's about it...

GOAT of his era......long live Prince.....God is alive....

1. I disagreed with the underlining premise of the homie's OP.

2. U can be happy all u want that Kyrie has finally made the 'Offs....Hell, be happy that dude is getting his shine....Just don't act like Kyrie ain't playing next to the biggest difference maker of the last 10 plus years....

3. When Kyrie leads his own team then u can dance a jig and say I TOLD YA SO....Until then the Rose bashing is silly at this point given that dude will never be the same player again....

The only thing u can potentially celebrate over is a Dukie star finally getting a ring...Because Cleveland is that good...

I'll let u get back to this battle with my fellow Chi head...Both of ya'll are going off the 'Genda deep end at this point...

GOAT of his era......long live Prince.....God is alive....

i don't wanna hear this crybaby shit. kyrie got who he got NOW.

it was all on him before, so it's all on him now. he gettin every bit of the credit.

you partied when gee and dion were there, so don't cry now.

y'all can try this pre-pau kobe shit with ky all y'all want. it's more than just bron. it's not having a new coach every damn year. it's having shooting guards who actually SHOOT when open, instead of dribbling. it's having an actual rim-protecting big.

and when kyrie goes nuclear this postseason, ain't nobody tryn read a buncha post from some chi-town niggas wit they lips poked out, talmbout "he got bron doe"...just give the boy credit and KIM.

Congrats!

But this is more about him going hard on the Bulls when he coulda just tapped out 2 seasons ago when that ACL popped.

He couldn't let us just be fans of our potential dampened team and be disgruntled or overjoyed and criticize or cyse who we wanted on OUR team.

So no...he don't get to party in peace cuz Kyrie is a second fiddle and couldn't lead a team with enough talent to make the playoffs in the East to an 8th seed.

B-Knight was on a WORSE teams last year, got a new coach and had the damn BUCKS poised for the 6th seed this season. But Kyrie got 127,309,000 reasons he couldn't do it last year.

He pinned Brow up on that board and it backfired. I ain't going.

Points taken.

Brow.

And I can't be idle with that.

I'm happy my guy made the playoffs. And I just wanna watch my guys hoop.

I could've made the same exact post. But I didn't. Cuz I really don't care.

Brow supposed to make the playoffs. Like I said when he was a rookie, I want Brow to be the next Tim Duncan. "This is baby stuff holmes".

You trying to pick players to satisfy agendas you have cuz of the Bulls and UNC with a player that has absolutely nothing to do with Bulls or UNC.

That's like when me and Basa were going back and forth about John and Kyrie and I brought up Ty Lawson making the playoffs.

It doesn't make a lick of sense does it?

Zeller mattered, DION mattered, Jack mattered, Hawes mattered.

Don't play coy. EVERYBODY said he had a playoff team last year and THEN he got DENG.

Nah...don't minimize now. I'm collecting points and it's gonna continue until I'm done.

Unlike you though, win or lose, I'll be done with it after this offseason.

and you right, if ky win a title, it don't matter if you point out the fact that pooh richardson lead a team to the playoffs, because...

so, yeah, everyone on this damn board better PRAY real hard kyrie don't win a title at 23, to go with ALL THE OTHER HARDWARE HE ALREADY GOT (and i peeped how big of a deal it was for russy to win AS MVP, but it ain't mean shit a year before...SMH).

You had your get back and STILL COULD NOT STOP.

Even with that bullshit "when they off your team" line...nope, still frothy mouth in every bulls player cysage...Jimmy, Niko, Nazr don't matter, your hating ass is THERE.

And don't act like this broken as search function won't fix itself to prove my point...IN 2015!!!

http://tinyurl.com/ozsjo9c

You ran around crying about ANY critique of Lu and Booz but ignored when we propped them up and now justify that on some retroactive get back. When we (in particular "I") had already admitted we prolly went too hard on Deng and I DEFENDED Booz when cats went in on him...again FOH.

Cool.

For the 2015 playoffs...I'm petty as shit. When it's over, you can have it. I'll be done, win or lose.

Fun.

It's pretty obvious who I'm siding with in those arguments.

A lot of Bulls fans (not all of them) would say they didn't have enough when Rose won MVP and they were in the ECF.

And the worst part is, they'll still say the Bulls don't have enough.

Bottom line, they can't use Brow. And they trying when they're man is healthy and been on the shelf for 3 years.
