"OKS 1st Annual MVP Award Ballot"
Thu Apr-16-15 08:25 AM by Cenario

We are going to vote like the sportswriters. Voting is open now, closes midnight 4/20.

Rank YOUR mvp (not who you think would win) 1-5.

Each first-place vote is worth 10 points; each second-place vote is worth seven; each third-place vote is worth five, fourth-place is worth three and fifth-place is worth one.

I would have done the other awards but who cares?

Edit: i'm only counting complete, sensical ballots.

ie
Lebron
Jordan Clarkson
Tony Allen
Mario Chalmers
Lou Amundson

is not an acceptable ballot.

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

Cp3 had great numbers but they really ain't gaudy like the other candidates. The biggest factor for me in considering Cp3 was games played.

Like actually playing games doesn't matter.

It's like tanking logic has crept into the awards
votes
Soon someone gonna play great defense in 27 games and
win DPOY LOL

CP3 played so many games to keep his team together,
didn't have the luxury to sit and nurse fake injuries

That team completely falls apart without him

He's clearly the #3 candidate

Russy stats outweighed Cp3's game played and team record.

1) Steph - he's been amazing all season and has G-State with the best record in the L, which no one expected.
2) Harden - he's been amazing all season and has kept Houston near the top of the West.
3) Russy - Amazing year even if they didn't make the playoffs.
4) Bron - Down year but still lead the Cavs to a 2nd seed.
5) Brow - Because he made the playoffs.

I give the nod to Harden because of what he has done with seemingly an endless cycle of new lineups and Dwight missing the majority of the season....to be 2nd in THIS western conference in that context deserves the nod imo. However, being the best player for a team that won 67 is also extremely impressive so Curry is right there.

Bron's play has been stellar but imo his most compelling argument is his leadership on that Cavs team which has particularly impacted Kyrie's growth. Can't say enough about Bron's ability to lead.

AD has been incredible all year and CP3 really turned it up this season while the team was struggling with injuries to the top of their roster.

Russy is my dude but MVP is a full season award so I tend to bias it to players who have been contributing from game 1.

1 - Harden
2 - Curry
3 - Russ
4 - Bron
5 - AD

I wanted to put Russy 2

not making the playoffs and missing games puts him at 3 IMO

I think Steph sitting 4th quarters and GS continuing to win hurt his MVP chances

as well as having Klay going off with some historic performances this year

Bron took a vacation and got ALOT of help

AD got next

overall, incredible year for the NBA.

1. Steph
2. Harden
3. Russy - I hesitated to put him this high since he didn't make the playoffs, but he played lights out.
4. Bron - funny how his off year still puts him in everyone's top 5.
5. AD - he'll win one eventually.

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

1) Harden - Did the most with less help

2) Curry - Did the most with the most help

3) Westbrook - would have been second IMO had they made the postseason

4) Anthony Davis - Very good season with much promise

5) James - Best player in the game, but not his best season

Some will tell you that they love you but they've got an ulterior motive - Oh what a shame
They will tell you that they need you but they've got an ulterior motive - Personal gain
