Apr 15th 2015

Because Frank would rather spend the $ elsewhere lol
Apr 15th 2015
22
i'd be down for a $100 fee, but i'm just tryna find an incentive for all
Apr 15th 2015
25
Then the $15 fee should be for the bottom 2
Apr 15th 2015

I'm still in smh/wtf happened/what if mode. Dont know that I would have beat Ryan, though Russy did go HAM a couple times, but I at least shoulda been there. That Lakers/Ed Davis shit was more annoying that anything I've dealt with in fantasy. Ultimately, Kawhi over Wade coulda made it all moot though, so it's my L.

On to next year. If we cant change the format, namely the early locking of the full lineups, which I dont believe we can, we have to adjust payouts. So much goes into the first 62 with so little to show for it. And the tenth best team can "win" a division, so fuck that. I'd put the full 240 towards regular season champ, be it wins or points. My vote would be points.

Ending the season a few games earlier would be awesome too, but I know thats out of our control.

^^^The 10th best team doesn't mean it STARTED as the 10th best team. Ryan's squad was ranked #1 preseason and dipped then came back around and won. He was ranked like 7th or 8th. I actually think it takes MORE skill to recover from stumbling than to just ride out a good draft and minimal injuries. And it's not like the Walton was EASY to win. Me and LABeat had some injuries and Theo had a 'eh'/bad draft but between us there's 3 titles and 5 final trips...Ryan beat us all.

I think the division realignment circumvents this as it prevents someone from having to play with cupcakes year after year. I mean last season, we even decided division make up by winning % over the last 3 years. I personally think if you win a division, you've earned that $.

>Ending the season a few games earlier would be awesome too,
>but I know thats out of our control.

This would be ideal for the playoffs but it still wouldn't necessarily address division winners.

I'm talking about DIVISION winners, who all get $60 regardless of their overall standing in the league. Here's our overall finish.

1) Me (won division)
2) TJ
3) Bags (won division)
4) Shawn
5) RBO
6) Cenario
7) Boogs (won division)
8) Ryan (won division)
9) Ceej

etc. etc

So, the 7th and 8th best teams, barely better than Ceej at 9 get rewarded because.....I dont know, I just dont feel like its an accomplishment worth rewarding, especially when there's 4 of em, and moreso with the playoff crapshoot we have. Let's just balance rewarding the first 62 to the actual top teams, as well as the best playoff teams the way we currently do.

If we do what you're suggesting, we could just eliminate divisions and conferences. Top 12 make the 'offs based on record and top 4 records get the $60 refund would be logical then (I missed the 'offs though my team was 10 games better than Matts, who tapped out 40% through the season).

And again, where the team finished isn't indicative of how good the team/GM is/was during the season. Ceej's team was top 4 in scoring at the start of the year but he lost his first EIGHT GAMES as he had the highest opponent avg in the league:

If you add 6 wins to Ceej's record he's near the top of the league so going 0-8 off bad luck isn't HIS fault. Sometimes sh*t happens. He might have won that division if not for the bad start and the injuries to his guards down the stretch. And you're saying Boogs doesn't deserve his $60 after beating out Frank and Robe for that division?

The logic around the compartmentalizing of our GM's is to create

1) Rivalries within divisions
2) Rivalries within conferences
3) Rivalries against conferences
4) A carrot to chase all year

^^^Keeps a lot of trash talking active and gives some tribal pride to play off of.

If we're all chasing the top 4 teams then theoretically, only 4 squads or so will have a shot at the halfway point. I mean, you can pretty much call it a day if you suffer a bad injury within the first month or so of the season. Currently, it depends on how far out your division leader is.

This feels like rewarding the lucky and not the diligent. The regular season should reward the diligent more than the lucky imo. The playoffs rewards the lucky AND diligent. You cruised to your division on a decent draft, minor tweaks and relative health...cool. That's not the norm though. The norm is managing injuries, being pressed over FA's and that breakthrough player, tweaking your lineup to squeeze the most out of hot streaks and minimizing cold ones. <--if THAT guy wins a division, he deserves it (and he likely won't have a top 4 record).

Rewarding winners (monetarily) is not. The playoff berth and first round bye should be enough. But to get paid for beating out three other guys, often two or even one when the others mail it in or just arent good? Makes no sense.

I'd rather ALL the money go to the final two than reward a team barely over .500.

I do think regular season champ should be rewarded though, with the way our league/format is constructed.

keep division for playoff seeding, take two of the division dollars and put one toward high average over the whole regular season and one to highest win total over the regular season. the other two get added to the playoff payoffs.

Taking the division $ away and making it best record and avg BUT the draw back is potential diminished interest from divisions that don't look like 'favorites'.

HI THEO! (sorry)

this year, favorites going into the season flopped.

in fact, had boogs not won his division, there's a decent chance (I didn't bother doing the numbers) he might have lost the first round. in both cases, they would have been the "visiting team" were it not for the divisional advantage--boogs woulda been the 4th or 5th seed, ryan the same.

If you asked the league if they could find something fun to do that ties into one of their interests and it would cost them less than $15 a month, and there's a chance they'd make their investment back 10 fold, most of them would be interested.

But then you say, let's make the survivor fee $100 (for roughly 7 mos of entertainment and the opportunity to win upwards of $1000) and everyone is like 'ooooh nooo, my mortgage!'

lol

I understand things being tight for some of us at one time or another but it's a matter of valuation really.

The Survivor fee can be paid in installments, you just lose IR if you don't do it before the draft. With a $100 fee, I'd even open up the fee payment period to July-Oct but it's not valued that way.

My issue is you can't control injury. Most everyone in this league actually cares, but when someone's season has gone to shit, I'm not inclined to force them to cling to a lost season under risk of monetary penalty.

you're never REALLY out of it UNLESS...you stop caring.

2013-2014 season I lost 4 of my 5 starters for 20+ games and 2 to season ending injuries. I hustled, made the playoffs and made the conf finals. Probably the best GM job I've ever done too.

Because I cared.

There's always guys who have break out years none of us saw coming or someone punts too early on a rook/young guy/contract year dude/injured dude.

I dunno if a penalty is the way to go but there's no excuse for not caring until you're at LEAST eliminated from the playoffs.

Could only go 4, maybe 5 games, considering potential sweeps. Maybe 8 dudes, 12 or 13 man rosters, play 5 games roto style. 8 points for Game 1-5 top score, 7 for second, etc. Most points wins.

Yesterday I mistakenly sent Boogs' old Columbia account the $280 for his winnings. After the transaction didn't complete I went back to Boogs' most recent payment and saw he had a new email for paypal so I cancelled the Columbia payment and sent it to his new one.

Unfortunately, Paypal has yet to refund the $280 for the cancelled transaction (should happen today or tomorrow). When they do, I'll send you the full $560.

FYI

1-Payouts: Should we still do division winners or analternative? Best records in division? Highest Averages?

^^^We never made a determination on this one

2-GM replacement:

Iffy:
Magilla?
Robe?

Retiring:
Matty

Possible replacements:
josephmurf2384
BShelly
Suggestions?

^^^Anyone heard from Robe? Magilla?

We have 2 months before kick off so...I'll keep this vote up for a month.

Division Payouts-
Option A: Keep it the same $60 for winners
Option B: (courtesy of TJT) $60 highest avg over reg season, $60 best reg season record, $120 back into the pool ($100 for winner, $20 for runner up so total = $600 winner, $240 runner up)

I'll do a few.

>When do we usually draft..mid-late Oct?

Last year we did the early start on 10/17 with a 6 hour time limit and the live draft started on 10/19.

I'm gonna try something different this year.

10/16
Draft start @ noon EST, 1 hour time limit
Clock off @ 6pm EST

10/17
Clock on @ noon EST, 30 min time limit
Clock off @ 7pm EST

10/18
Clock on @ noon EST, 2 hour time limit
Clock off @ 7pm EST

10/19 (if necessary)
Clock on @ noon EST - LIVE DRAFT
Noon-1pm = 5 minute time limit
1-2pm = 10 minute time limit
2-6pm = 15 minute time limit

^^^This schedule will repeat any day after 10/19 that we aren't finish with the draft.

We can push the actual date a weekend out if everyone wants but the schedule won't change.

But it's all tentative. The 23rd is an option but we'd have to commit to finishing by Monday.

Otherwise, I'm not sure we could accommodate much more outside of pushing the time limits.

With you in Vegas though...not sure it'll be beneficial either way.

Can we at least get a 2nd option just to vote on...Even a 2hr saturday is better.

I'd prefer the next weekend but the season starts on the 27th. ALthough with these time limits, i think the only way we wouldn't complete the draft by Monday is if the site messes up.

thinks the sloooow weekend draft is too much. Then you had the teachers who hated the quick picks during the week.

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

I figure everyone should be able to sacrifice a Saturday afternoon to bang out a lot of picks. The mobile app is very fluid, 30 min is a decent amount of time to sort things out and contingencies work.

Besides, we'd be officially starting on Friday so the more we finish on day 1, the better.

Trust me, I remember all the back and forth we have every year with the draft so i'm not trying to be a dick. But blatant statements like the above aren't fair, just bc it may be true for you.

Its very easy for me to say drafting during the week is easier than the weekend bc everyone bs's on the job from time to time but that wouldn't be fair.

That's why i said to give a 2nd option to put to a vote and let the majority rule. Everyone else would have to rock with it.

I'm not trying to be a dictator or anything but I think it's waaaay more plausible to tell your wife, 'hold on babe, let me do this real quick' and spend 10 minutes to make a pick than it is to tell your boss or client in a meeting the same thing.

>Trust me, I remember all the back and forth we have every year
>with the draft so i'm not trying to be a dick. But blatant
>statements like the above aren't fair, just bc it may be true
>for you.

It's true because of my above example. I think most people have more flexibility over their personal time than their workday.

>Its very easy for me to say drafting during the week is easier
>than the weekend bc everyone bs's on the job from time to time
>but that wouldn't be fair.

Time to time is not nursing a draft for 5-6 hours though. With the Live draft time limits, you HAVE to be in tune or get skipped (unless you're good with contingency drafting). And adjusting for longer time limits (to rectify babysitting) means now having to draft for multiple work days. Wack (always has been).

>That's why i said to give a 2nd option to put to a vote and
>let the majority rule. Everyone else would have to rock with
>it.

It's gonna be split dawg...no need to vote. It'll be a Friday and Monday (if necessary) for the workday people and a Saturday and Sunday for the weekend people. We've done weekend drafting for at least 5 years. No reason it should change now. I'm just making it more efficient.

We can discuss time limit changes and which week/weekend we draft but I'm really not with the start on Friday, finish on Tues/Wed. anymore.

Its not for me because like cenario pointed out we all have different jobs.

I work at a startup so I have major flexibility if im not in a meeting or a call.

On the other hand on the weekends I could be shuttling my son to his game, coaching his game with my wife wondering why I keep checking my phone.

At work nobody gives a shit if I look at my phone/computer all day.

Exactly. This is why I split it up. Start Friday (normally it's a loose time limit like 6 hours or untimed until Monday). Wrap on Monday. Some people have to sacrifice a few workdays, others a few weekend days.

>I work at a startup so I have major flexibility if im not in a
>meeting or a call.

I work in HR so I could be interviewing or in meetings all day and there's no way I could stop to make a draft pick. I have waaaaaaaaaay more flexibility on a weekend.

>On the other hand on the weekends I could be shuttling my son
>to his game, coaching his game with my wife wondering why I
>keep checking my phone.

A Chronicle of my weekend last year during the draft:

"Look at my draft record this year, all but ONE of my picks happens immediately (and the one I stalled on was to give Mat extra time...which I didn't have to do). Because I've done my research, I know what I want/need based on what I've drafted and how the draft is turning and I check in (ON MY FUCKING PHONE NO LESS) every 30-60 minutes. So my contingencies are on point.

It's not that hard. Friday night I commuted 45 mins home, picked up my kids from the mall where they were with their mom, dropped them off at my moms', drove 30 mins to hang at a bar with friends until 1 am (had 3 Black Russians). Hooped Saturday morning at 6 am until 1030, picked up the kids from my moms (their mom had to work until 6pm), fed them lunch, then went over to one of my friends' house that afternoon so my 2 kids could play with his 3, came home and went to the movies (dracula untold) with another friend...

I HAVE NOT MISSED A FUCKING BEAT! I'm not accepting these excuses from lazy ass dudes that just don't prepare but beg for the draft to happen early EVERY year."

>At work nobody gives a shit if I look at my phone/computer all
>day.

Cool...so maybe we should do Live Draft on Friday AND Monday. I'd be cool with a 2-3 hour time limit over the weekend if we did that.

Basa was one of the dudes with the biggest beef with how the draft was and he not even here now. You say it'll be split down the middle but it's already 4-1 for those who are voicing their opinion in this post.

The vote we just took was split 6-4 but we stull gonna ride with the results

And trying to balance it so some people don't get totally screwed. Each side will have to sacrifice. Putting it to vote would be asinine right now considering we are down 2-3 GM's (Mat, Basa and Rob probably) and only a handful of us here have chimed in.

LABeat was pretty vocal last year, there are teachers that don't want to do it during the work week as well and I personally prefer to handle most of it on the weekend.

I'm leaning toward a live draft on Friday (maybe we bang out the first 4-5 rounds) and then maybe a 2 hour time limit during peak hours on Saturday and Sunday. If we haven't wrapped by then, we live draft on Monday to finish it off.

If we can move the weekend back to help 1-2 GM's, we can split the draft to help 3-4. But I want make sure we aren't drafting Monday through Wednesday and that no one has to wait 6 hours to pick if it's not overnight. Setting a few contingencies and checking in every 2 hours from noon to 7pm EST on Saturday and Sunday shouldn't be too much to ask.

We have more than enough time to find the greatest common denominator

I think we dont have many school teachers anymore. We have professors who are more flexible.

I personally dont mind starting and doing no clock like last year. You get a text, you cant pick cause youre in a mtg, cool.

Best case scenario you tell us itll be 2,3,4,5 hours and we chill. The main problem child we had last year is my boy Theo. Who logs in but then takes 3 hours once he logs back in to look and see what he says.

Looks like the 16th won't be good for a few people so these are the alternatives (as Cenario likes democratic voting lol)

Option 1-Spreads the latter half of the draft over 2 days on the weekend.
10/23
Draft start @ noon EST - LIVE DRAFT
Noon-1pm = 5 minute time limit
1-2pm = 10 minute time limit
2-6pm = 15 minute time limit

10/24
Clock on @ noon EST, 2 hour time limit
Clock off @ 7pm EST

10/25
Clock on @ noon EST, 2 hour time limit
Clock off @ 7pm EST

10/26 (if necessary)
Clock on @ noon EST - LIVE DRAFT
Noon-1pm = 5 minute time limit
1-2pm = 10 minute time limit
2-6pm = 15 minute time limit

Option 2-For those obligated that weekend, we can try to finish all if not most on Thurs/Fri.
10/22
Draft start @ noon EST - LIVE DRAFT
Noon-1pm = 5 minute time limit
1-2pm = 10 minute time limit
2-6pm = 15 minute time limit

10/23
Clock on @ noon EST - LIVE DRAFT
Noon-1pm = 5 minute time limit
1-2pm = 10 minute time limit
2-6pm = 15 minute time limit

10/24
Clock on @ noon EST, 2 hour time limit
Clock off @ 7pm EST

10/25 (if necessary)
Clock on @ noon EST, 2 hour time limit
Clock off @ 7pm EST

We may do a live draft on 10/21, long time limit on 10/22 and live draft on 10/23 to cover both you and TJT (basically, day on, day off).

If you can actually draft on 10/22, cool...I'll try to move the live draft portion around. But I need to know what time frame would work. Would 2-3 hours be cool?

(Sundays are easier for me to pull this off than Saturdays)

Something like this:

Start early like 10 AM ESt/ 7AM PSt

Just text and move: 15 minutes max (with certain contingencies given if someone has a situation) all the way through 8 PM.
We should be done.

Just pray another west coaster doesnt get the early picks and hold us up from starting.

This may all be for not since TJT has a wedding

i didn't realize how fucked my october is and i don't want to fuck up the draft and i'll be away from my computer or in another country.

there's no day except for the 20th through the 22nd that won't be shitty for me. and i know those aren't good options (and the 20th has some bad times too--i teach 4 to 6:30).

if i have to be in, I'll do my best to keep an autodraft update going, but IIRC, you can only have 20 or so people in autodraft queue. otherwise, i'd just pre-rank about 200 players and see what happens. would be a new experiment.

If we start on the 22nd and bang out 5-7 rounds, you can get the bulk of your team/starters selected. Then you'd have to check in on that Friday to finish it off (contingencies would help).

Let me know what your Friday looks like.

i can do what i can to autodraft or send you a long list of rankings after the 22nd.

so it's gonna be tough for me, but I can do decently most of the 23rd if I get emails (not texts) and I'll sign up for wi-fi on the plane and pray it doesn't suck.

Not only do I have to schedule my work a good month in advance, but any vacations or days off need to be scheduled that far in advance too. I just figured we were going to, like normal, finish the majority of the draft during the work week, so I didn't worry about it.

That's why I'm going to push so hard to *not* change things that much. If we wanted to do a one-day live draft, which would take most of the day, we would've needed to agree on a date a while ago. I have no problem, and have never had any problem, with the way things have been done in the past. I realize others do, but I definitely don't want to try to drastically shift what has more or less worked for most people.

I think we can work together to avoid being assholes and taking a gazillion hours and make the draft work. I know that might be optimistic of me, lol, but I believe it's true.

In response to Reply # 103

10/19-10/21
Draft starts morning of the 19th- NO CLOCK or 12 HOUR CLOCK
For those 3 days, we try to bang out as many picks as we can during the work day/evenings, because, for the most part, despite a couple of vocal bitchers, this *has* worked for a lot of people and we could easily get through the first few rounds in 3 days.

Then, from there, Option B as proposed.

10/22
Draft start @ noon EST - LIVE DRAFT
Noon-1pm = 5 minute time limit
1-2pm = 10 minute time limit
2-6pm = 15 minute time limit

10/23
Clock on @ noon EST - LIVE DRAFT
Noon-1pm = 5 minute time limit
1-2pm = 10 minute time limit
2-6pm = 15 minute time limit

I feel like we could *easily* finish by Friday, or at the very least get the overwhelming majority done.

Then, if absolutely necessary...

10/24
Clock on @ noon EST, 2 hour time limit
Clock off @ 7pm EST

10/25 (if necessary)
Clock on @ noon EST, 2 hour time limit
Clock off @ 7pm EST

I would probably just need to auto-draft from this point forward, as I don't think I'll have my phone, since I rarely do for extended periods of time on the weekends... but if I'm just auto-drafting the last couple rounds, that would be pretty painless to compose.

I never had a problem with the old method, cuz it allowed us to trade picks. I prefer it, honestly. Others have a problem? Fine. I'll go with the majority, so if the majority wants the one-day draft, I'm with it.

I just can't draft on weekends so I need to selfishly preserve my ability to be active in this league.

My suggestion would be.

Tues 10/20 (i think this day works for Frank/TJT)
Eastern times
11am-1pm 1 hour per pick
1pm-2pm lightning round 5min per pick
2pm-5pm 1hr per pick
5pm clock off

Repeat on 10/21
Repeat on 10/22 w.o lightning round or changing the time limit to 2 hours. We should be able to finish on this day.

I know TJT is the same.

I also know Shawn would strongly prefer to not draft on weekends. You also seemed to indicate that you would at least prefer not to draft on weekends.

I wanna know if there's anyone in the same boat as me and TJT, where if we do the lion's share of this draft on the weekend, we'd either have to autodraft or bow out. Neither of which are preferable options for this league.

Conversely, if there are people who can't at all draft during the proposed week hours, we'd also need to know that.

I just want to find a format and a calendar in which everyone can make their own picks.

Reason why is that there are 16 people in the league and the site only allows you to prerank 20 players at a time. So you can't autodraft your whole team. Shawn/AB or anyone else with your number will text you once or 20 times to let you know its your pick (joking, except for when it happens)

It would help to know if you are more available during the week or weekends and what time zone you are in lol. We are looking at the week of the 21st so if there are any days in there which are bad for you, it would be good to know.

And the reason why is because meticulous (and lazy) dudes don't like doing pre-work for the draft so they aren't prepared and wait until it starts so they can spend an hour on every pick or half the day waiting on trade responses. That and some of us are just generally assholes who will disappear knowing they have 6 hours between picks instead of at least checking in on their phones once an hour.

But I digress.

Trading during the draft is part of what makes this league so fun. Half the day isn't fun but it also feels like a gross exaggeration. I'd rather not make any format changes that do away with draft-day trades.

That
>and some of us are just generally assholes who will disappear
>knowing they have 6 hours between picks instead of at least
>checking in on their phones once an hour.

This... feels pointed at a particular individual, so I'll leave it alone, but the *overwhelming* majority of the people in the league *do* check their phones once an hour, they *do* make their picks in a timely fashion when they can, and they *do* give a heads up to people if they won't be by their phone for any remotely extended period of time. So it's not really "some of us." It's, like, maybe one or two people per draft who behave unreasonably at absolute most, imo. But again, maybe you're just aiming that at one or two people and making it a blanket statement so it doesn't seem so pointed.

Another suggestion would be every individual has their own clock for the whole draft. Keep the clock on from 11am est to 11pm est.

I think a fair amount of time would be 8hours. Unfortunately, the options WS gives is 3 hours or less or 12 hours or more. I like this bc no one person can slow the draft up more than once. For those that want to trade, they know taking a long time now will screw them later. We would just have to manage this on our own to a degree based on the time options on WS

Half the day was an exaggeration. You know once the draft starts, everyone wants to pick as fast as possible so anyone spending 2-3 hours waiting on a trade response is seen as "holding up the draft", which is technically true.

Eh, it's always somebody different for different reasons (at the fair, at the movies, at a wedding, no phone service in the mountains, etc.) but it happens.

At the heart of it all, I don't think we should draft for more than 2 days. I don't want to start on a weekend and finish in the middle of the next week and I don't want to spend 5 days during the week either.

As someone who spends a large part of the draft texting people. I should track my texts for the month of Oct the last few years--would be crazy.

I dont think many people purposely hold us up to be dicks.

The trading thing definitely holds us up--but theyre waiting on deals.

The only person ive seen really hold us up who I called out is Theo. That dude will login and then take 4 hours

1-Dstl1 - Loves the Niners, likes UNC hoops <-my brother from another mother
2-Josephmurf - Fanduel vet which means he's semi-familiar with the format so should be a good addition
3-2.tears.in.a.bucket - Brave soul looking for quality hoops fantasy

Introduce yourselves fellas...a lil about your fantasy pedigree, what you're looking forward to in the league and your plans to try to make a name for yourself as a winner and quality contributor (keeping it real, how scathing is your league trash talk lol).

Besides, ya'll got it back the next season anyway.

I always think, had we beaten ya'll all 3 years, Steve Young's pedigree would be soooo elevated.

I'm from the same courts as Grant Hill so of course B-ball is in my blood. except i'm fat, smoke and chornically white. This is actually the first year long i have done, but i had a good year on FD and got into fantasy B-ball that way. As long as i remember to keep up my squad i hope to remain kind of competitive.

Ok, given some of the feedback on availability:

22nd: 2-9 EST = Bad for boogs
23rd: TJT flying and Driving but could access email
20th: TJT teach 4-6:30 pm (EST?)
Weekends: Bad for Frank, Cenario, Shawn

Here's what I'm proposing:

Draft will start Tuesday, 10/20
Draft start @ noon EST - LIVE DRAFT
Noon-4pm = 10 minute time limit
4pm clock off

Day 2 - 10/21
Draft start @ noon EST - LIVE DRAFT
Noon-1pm = 5 minute time limit
1-6pm = 10 minute time limit
6pm clock off

Day 3 - 10/22
Draft start @ noon EST - LIVE DRAFT
Noon-2pm = 5 minute time limit
2pm clock off

If necessary - Day 4 - 10/23
Clock on @ noon EST
Noon-6pm = 2 hour time limit

If this works for you, reply 'yay', if it doesn't work, reply 'nay' with a reason why and your availability. I'll do what I can to accommodate everyone but ultimately some of us will need to sacrifice.

This is the most disjointed schedule we've ever had. Next year, we may do the timed option where everyone has x amount of hours to make all their picks.

In any event, we should be able to wrap this in 2-3 days and everyone should be accounted for.

And the reason why is because meticulous (and lazy) dudes like myself don't like doing pre-work for the draft so they aren't prepared and wait until it starts so they can spend an hour on every pick or half the day waiting on trade responses.

10 mins is either too long or too short. If we want "live" draft times, maybe 5 mins so we can actually knock out some picks. Then rest of the day gotta give like 30 because you never know when youre going to be up

I agree with Shawn that draft order should be set early so that we have extra times for trading.

Shortened schedule - I'm thinking shaving off the last 2 games?

IR/Waiver - Any issues with that?

No IRing a Drafted player. Drafted players have to stay on a roster

I have one more thing possibly but have to check the new league settings

but the last 2 games are basically everyone sitting if there isn't anything to play for. Which is why i'm cool with the last 2. But i agree on voting for it.

I'm kinda indifferent about the draft and ir stash, provided that i remember the correct rule come draft time.

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

Sports.ws GMs - There are a few new ways that you can play fantasy basketball this month, one of which is with our all-new position format. You've played with Guards, Forwards and Centers. Why not try Point Guards, Wings and Big Men? Draft now and get a short league in during the second half of the NBA season. Fantasy basketball just keeps getting better.
