i do believe, as wonderl33t said, that coaches are human and can learn, adapt and improve just like players do. and monty's definitely done that. but he's still got some issues.
still does some weird rotational stuff. take the memphis game last week. NO down 3 after the 1st, he starts the 2q with 5 reserves. like, wtf dude. at this time of year, with your team in a situation where every game's a must-get, you just cannot do shit like that. playoff rotation, 8½ guys, 2 or 3 starters on the floor @ all times. basic, 101 type shit.
memphis of course, promptly and predictably, does on an 11-2 run and the game was never close afterward. but it was lost right there in that stretch.
so it's little shit like that. the defense isn't where it should be but they've improved relative to league avg the last few seasons. offense is fine, and would be even finer if they could keep their starting PG healthy.
