Let's just re-cap on the upcoming fight schedule for the foreseeable future:
3/7: Haymon's NBC (PBC) debut: Broner v. Molina | Thurman v. Guerrero
3/14: Kovalev v. Pascal (HBO)
4/4: Stevenson v. Bika (CBS)
4/11: Garcia v. Peterson | Lee v. Quillin (NBC)
4/18: Provodnikov v. Matthysse | Crawford v. Dulorme (HBO)
4/25: Klitschko v. Jennings (HBO)
5/2: MAYWEATHER V. PACQUIAO (HBO/SHO)
5/9: Canelo v. Kirkland (HBO)
*not even including some interesting SpikeTV cards on deck.
That's an incredible boxing calendar for the next 2 months - in fact, it's one of the busiest and well-matched 2-month periods in the sport's history. Promotional hands are being forced to make more compelling fights - and the fans are winning right now.
I'm bout to be locked in every Sat. night until Summer.

Kirkland is definitely a diff. kind of animal, but Canelo can crack, likes to brawl, and has a proven chin. I think it's a tough fight for James. Kirkland *has* to come in the best shape of his life, and that's a big question mark as he's been ridiculously inactive and has ballooned out of shape during his time off.
But yea - I give Kirkland a shot against *anybody* when he's on his game.

honestly, i wouldn't be surprised if both pac & may decide to go on some "designer supps" for this fight.

mayweather has both heredia and ariza in his camp, very interesting to say the least. mayweather accused ariza of being a cheater in the past and most ppl think heredia created something that JMM used in his last fight with Manny I just have no confidence in USADA to properly report anything given their recent track record (morales, quillen)

never heard of roberto garcia , but he hasn't lost in 5 yrs so should be interesting to see what porter has against him rebounding from that brooks asswhupping berto and lopez are trash but it should be an entertaining fight too
kov vs. pascal going be good too , though i think kov wins easily

PBC had decent, not great, numbers for its first broadcast but it also feels like it could have used better marketing. Each fight is an event, it looks so weird for a fighter to come out on his own (well, unless you're klitschko and come out to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTtDEa1EDxI&t=224)

FNF is done though... the major networks need to get their production format figured out better... I see the potential and there are some decent fights this spring for sure.. but I'm wary of what the real quality will be and the loss of our ability to really watch up and coming talent as opposed to wash-outs and near washouts with names...
also with no Russ Amber airtime anymore and now Teddy... I'm concerned about the quality of the commentary.
