"If Matt Flynn was still Seahawks QB"

...they would probably have played one playoff game, if any, by now.

People are really tripping thinking that this squad could win with anyone but Wilson and a few other guys at the helm.

They have the worst pass protection of any SB champ I have ever seen. Wilson negates this by running backwards (and forwards) and making plays happen...just somehow.

Their best receiver is either Jermain Kearse or Doug Baldwin...and they could very well repeat as SB winners.

In the "tight end era" they run with Luke Willison, an athlete who seemingly just started playing football two years ago, can't block or run a route.

The OC, Bevell, is a complete idiot.

They have two great offensive players; Lynch and Wilson. Take away one and you have the Arizona Cardinals, take both of them and this is not a playoff team.

Carroll's greatest move as coach was giving the job to Wilson, then taking the reins off the offense when Russ started slow. Without Russell Wilson, Carroll is on the hot seat looking like an overly animated Philbin and without Russ no Seahawk has a ring or is looking at getting one this year.

If they never drafted him, Pete Carroll would be fired or on the hottest of hot seats right now.

cuz i was about two more Russell Wilson hate replies from clowns on here from making it.

the most key points was how very average our line is and we've heard about the WRs endlessly by now.

shit, okung wasn't even that good this year. dude regressed and he's actually been pretty healthy compared to last year. we've dealt with injuries across the line both this year and last, and we're starting a rookie at RT who is a very questionable (though he has improved) pass blocker at times (to be fair he's a great run blocker).

i'd rate Flynn somewhere between Carson and Skelton, so the Cardinals is a fair comparison.

not gonna get this outta Matt Flynn, sorry: https://vine.co/v/OIrP5F7M6Dh

And I don't even like the Seahawks. But I know lots of Hawks fans and I remember what the rest of us thought of "Petey" Carroll and his homilies when this was a 7-9 playoff team.

I remember what we thought when they picked up Flynn.

Carroll knew how to get his players to buy in, and he knew defense, but all that and an actual SB appearance only buys you Lovie Smith's career. Carroll hadn't even figured out how to win in the NFL, let alone make the SB.

Pete is about to have a legitimate coaching tree of his own, and he owes that to Russell Wilson and his own gutsy decision regarding said QB.

He is a great athlete who is constantly improving, yes. That's pretty much what I said. There is no ignoring that he is still pretty raw and last year was a project when he came to the team. He couldn't block and still is not much of a route runner, IMO.

He is turning into a quality football player. If that's your point.

He COULDNT do either of those things SB year and now he is barely adequate in those departments IMO. However, he is fast, explosive and can high point a football

So i dont even know what last year has to do with it.

And barely competant is either misinformed or a flat lie.

Willison played significant time last year.

Agree to disagree, I suppose.

I don't think we have ever agreed on anything related to American Football, so no surprise.

He had as much to do with the 4th quarter resurgence last week as Wilson did

After hammering Lynch on that inside zone all game, he went to the ZR and really opened up the GB D. The big run RW had, then Lynch being wide open on the sideline, and then the touchdown that Wilson couldve moonwalked into the end zone on were all set up by Bevell (and very well executed by the playera obviously)

I certainly wouldn't want Bevell as OC on my team. Pete pretty much had to take away his toy to get the guy to stop getting cute on offense, but he still finds ways.

Maybe we just have very different ideas about football, which is fine too, but I think Bevell is somewhere between mediocre and terrible.

I just think "average" is closer to the truth than what you are saying

Especially after he was a difference maker in the NFCCG

Okay, you have him at "average", I have him as somewhere between that and flat out "bad", so let's say "below average".

Anyone could replicate Russell Wilson's success (c) fucking hater. Their third best receiver was so shitty the 9ers cut him... let that sink in for a second. Luke Wilson is supposed to suck on paper. Why you have to slander the squad like that? Russell knows that system and has full autonomy to run it the way he sees fit. If the Seahawks get to another super bowl, their coordinators, whoever they are, hit Cowboys status. Cowboys status is forever having a good job. A decade long run of coaching privilege on some Lame Kiffin shit.

Russell is balling at a level that is abnormal. It's the grit on display from a QB no one gave a chance. Their pass pro sucks but it holds just long enough for Russ to get the ball off. Good thing the media disrespects the Seahawks by not giving them a shot as usual.

I've talked all this shit but the Pats are going to win. Doc Claw ringing the cowbell by the end of the middle of the third quarter. I'm calling it now because Tom and Bill are furious everyone doubts their legitimacy.
