"FYI: THE NFL players with the most GOD GIVEN talent are WHITE"

Many of them, at least

QB: Luck (Fast, strong, hairy)
OL: Many
TE: Gronk (#1 All-time...by miles)
DL: Watt (Among the best god given ability ever)
WR: Nelson (Top 3 today)
LB: Kuechly (strong, sideline to sideline speed better
than anyone by miles)

I want less discussion about their "motor" and their
"love of the game"

I want more about their "god given ability" and their
"abilities that you can't teach" and how you get "pure
talent like that once in a lifetime"

That's all that I'm afteeer (c) Mike

Also I might replace Luck with Rodgers for that ridiculous high motor coach on the field laser he has for a right arm, but the point would still stand.

And does being an athletic freak mean you don't have a "motor?"

I don't think motor is a code word, I mean when I think of guys with a motor and their being described that way, I think mostly of black athletes. AI, GP, Spree in the NBA all spring to mind. A lot of black defensive ends in the NFL.

And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

Plus, has been more of an irresponsible asshole
and bad teammate as an ADULT than Moss ever was

Gronk will end up #1 all-time at his position because
the gap between him and the 2nd most gifted tight end
ever (whoever the fuck that is...probably Kellen Winslow
Sr) is larger than between Moss and the #2 gifted receiver
probably Megatron

I want this to be the FOCUS

So his "measuring stick" is different

His combination of size, strength, athleticism,
nimbleness, etc is every bit as rare as Moss'

I'd even argue that the #2 tight end is further
away from him than the #2 WR is from Moss (Megatron)

>His combination of size, strength, athleticism,

yet his overall athleticism isn't.

>I'd even argue that the #2 tight end is further
>away from him than the #2 WR is from Moss (Megatron)

maybe, but the talent pool at WR is deeper than TE (i.e. Megatron's athleticism outstrips that of whoever the #2 TE is) so that comparison doesn't equate to Gronk being the better athlete.

Gronk is further away from the #2 Tight End of all time
in terms of god given athleticism than Randy Moss is
from Megatron

That is a fact.

I'm not talking absolute athleticism. I'm talking
relative athleticism.

That's why I list the athletes by position.

Pat Riley said he could have had a 10 year NBA career because of his talent

And thats not an O_E claim, i can verify this with a direct quote

http://m.espn.go.com/general/blogs/blogpost?blogname=atlanta-falcons&id=2885&src=desktop

I have to assume you were too young to remember what prime Tony G was

>Pat Riley said he could have had a 10 year NBA career because
>of his talent

Riles was just being nice, imbecile

LOLLLLLZ @ Gonazelz in hoop

Gonzalez was a shitty underized power forward with moderate
athleticism at best...his basketball ability was all hustle and
heart, actually

Antonio Gates was a much better basketball player and
Pro prospect in hoop...you don't even get your WRONG
example right

Idiot

>I have to assume you were too young to remember what prime
>Tony G was

Tony G was more route running, timing, IQ than sheer
brute god given athleticism

Gronk overwhelms everyone he faces with athleticism,
power, speed, agility...all natural

God that woman is sexy.
I like Top Chef, had a few missteps and fell off the rails a bit,
but last 2 seasons it's gotten back on track.

The one constant throughout its entire run though?

Padma.

Gronk seems like a nice guy but conversations at dinner must be tough, lol. Gisele gotta be rolling her eyes when out to dinner with him and Tom.

BEAST on the field tho. Only reason I like watching the Pats.

you dont play in the NFL at 160 pounds without being an extraordinary athlete (pinkston) and fredex was plenty athletic, that was about all he had going for him. no one mistook him for antonio freeman, dude ran to be covered and basically beat himself on most downs.

as a junior at that (his senior year). No doubt he was incredibly strong back in high school, but he was a gym rat through and through. Also, I can name at least 5 RBs I played against in high school who were more physically gifted/talented than Kuhn and never came close to having his career.

I completely get the premise of the post, but of course it's gotta be made with some extreme hyperbole. Guys like Vernon Davis, Eric Ebron, Antonio Gates, and Shannon Sharpe are definitely on the same level talent wise as Gronk. And at LB, guys like Navarro Bowman and Patrick Willis are every bit as physically gifted as Keuchly.

I'm saying we don't highlight the natural gifts in
white athletes the way we do black athletes.

We over-emphasize "natural gifts" with blacks, under-emphasize
it with whites

what you would call "athletic freaks"

>I'm saying we don't highlight the natural gifts in
>white athletes the way we do black athletes.

Then you should've said that and stuck w/that premise, instead your post title and content went so far as to say "most or many of the naturally athletically gifted athletes are white" which is NOT TRUE
>
>We over-emphasize "natural gifts" with blacks,
>under-emphasize
>it with whites

That's partly true - yes, there's always been an under-emphasis of the blk athlete's cerebral approach to sports and their work ethic but as far as white athletes are concerned, their natural gifts aren't often highlighted because it's so few white athletes who are naturally gifted a la someone like a Mike Vick or Iverson, athletes who excelled at their respective sports while admitting they didn't put in a lot of work in the off season, that their success in their sport was mostly due to being naturally gifted. Even the white athletes who YOU have listed as athletic freaks all are known to have incredible work ethics - because I doubt that even the most naturally gifted white athlete believes he can get away w/just playing off his natural gifts

Its hard to be nice when people tell me I'm wrong
for thinking the media under-reports the natural athleticism
of white athletes, and argue this by telling me that the
white athletes I listed as examples aren't well known for
being physical monsters.

: - (

Its just embarrassing.

I was done with embarrassing niggerish-ness many years ago.

Had some red pepper, and threw that in instead of the green. Also the habanero was just right. Maybe the real cause was letting a lot of the water boil off. Seemed to make the beans extra soft.

Do some film study

He'll be fine, but he's got to have a winning attitude

I'm TALKING ABOUT IT:

Maybe Andrew is more concerned with his brand than winning football games.

Andrew has to stop relying on his athleticism so much.

Andrew is a once-in-a-generation talent that needs time to refine his game. He'll get it right in another five years.
