ESPN's Chris Mortensen stated on NFL Insiders that it's "very possible" Adrian Peterson returns to play for the Vikings this season.
Mort initially reported the Vikings had essentially washed their hands of A.P. Per Mortensen now, the team is "softening" its stance. Peterson should be picked up in all 12- and 14-team leagues this week in anticipation of a potential return during the fantasy playoffs. mortensen has the worst sources in the league. according to him, josh gordon was 100% certain to be reinstated two months ago. that's one-zero-zero percent. oops.

it's nice that peterson is mopping up his legal issues, but they were never the problem. the problem is the P.R. issue-- fan outrage, sponsors pulling support, NFL's ongoing domestic abuse problem-- none of which is gonna go away by peterson pleading GUILTY to misdemeanor child abuse.

but, please, don't let me break up the candlelight prayer vigil for goodell taking a soft stance on child abuse. keep hope alive.
