"Survivor Dynasty: Post-Draft/Start of Season"

The next freeze is tomorrow. Post up your rosters, how you think you did, how you think you'll do this season, how you think you'll do going forward, etc.

I created divisions, by the way. By geography. (I assume Robe's South Texas is west of Houston.) (I also thought Shawn was West Coast, but his name is East Coast. I can re-arrange if Shawn is an East Coaster and I'm mistaken.)

one thing that wasn't intuitive to me at first is your bottom 3 spots aren't clickable...you have to move someone down below them to get them into the top 12 and editable.

assists and turnovers and blocks and steals matter a lot more. rebounds matter quite a bit more. shooting percentage and scoring both matter but probably least of all.

Cs

Gorgui Dieng C
Timofey Mozgov C
Jusuf Nurkic C
JaVale McGeeC

Love this group. I don't know if Dieng is going to get major minutes this season but they all have what it takes to do numbers, and all but McGee have futures. McGee who knows what happens.

Fs

Anthony Davis CF
Derrick Favors CF
Ed Davis CF
Taj Gibson F

AD and Favors = DAMN. I am worried a little very long term about position eligibility, but not sure how we will handle that. I had some forwards I wanted to make a go at but missed barely.

Gs

Jrue Holiday G
Kemba Walker G
Jeff Teague G
Marcus Smart G

There's no CP3 or Rondo or Russy in this group unless Smart becomes that, but they're all solid and improving.

Reserves

Dennis Schroeder G42.70.680 / 0 / 0000 %
Kevin SeraphinFC82.40.300 / 0 / 0000 %
Bismack BiyomboFC000.000 / 0 / 0000 %

Y'all ran at rookies earlier than I was expecting. I might have set that off some with Smart and Nurkic but I'd draft both of them in redraft more or less where I got them in this league too. Schroeder needs to do something this year as Teague's backup or he's probably replaced. Too many good guards out there. I think Seraphin and Biyombo are almost out of chances in the real NBA to get PT, but they're good at FPPM.

Al Jefferson
Marc Gasol
Jordan Hill
Dirk Nowitzki
Ryan Anderson
Tiago Splitter
Lavoy Allen
Kris Humphries
DeJuan Blair
Kyle Anderson
Chris Paul
James Harden
Tony Wroten
Patty Mills
Kendall Marshall

Went for under 30 dudes. Beyond that, tried to prioritize getting solid dudes to put around CP3.

I remember that this league is ridiculously guard weighted, so I feel pretty good about CP3 and Harden sucking up those minutes. That said, my biggest gamble and likely biggest L is Kenndall Marshall. He's young and he balled last year, so I gambled that's not solely a function of 'antoni. But he didn't even get off the bench last night, so, uh...

Pick I liked the most is CP3, but that's obvious. Beyond that, pretty frickin happy to get Lavoy Allen at pick 168, who's just going to do bamma shit for 20 minutes per with the Pacers. Not a bad backstop for F and C minutes. I also liked Jordan Hill because it made Longo mad.

C:
Dwight Howard
Omer Asik
Tyson Chandler
Joel Embiid

I'm fucking stacked at C. Chandler's going to be a great minute filler this year, and D12 and Omer are obvious .ws beasts. Then I've got Embiid for whenever he comes back - and if he's half of what we think he'll be, he'll be great.

F:
Blake Griffin
David Lee
Tristan Thompson
David West
Reggie Evans

Aside from Blake, not terribly happy with my forwards, though there are some good things here. TT is in a contract year...and I think that's the only upside. There were a bunch of dudes I wanted who got picked right before a lot of my picks, so this isn't the greatest crop but it's okay. I can always trade a C.

G:
Goran Dragic
Mike Conley
Dwyane Wade
Jeremy Lin
Iman Shumpert
Andre Miller

Okay guards. Nothing crazy awesome - almost no upside. Goran's going to be good this year - especially since it's a contract year, but dudes like Wade and Miller will be toast soon. Lin's been garbage in the 2 games so far too I really wanted Wroten. Like, really really wanted him.

All in all - mediocre forwards, decent guards, and fucking killer centers. I'll be okay this year - but I don't see anyone taking me to the promised land.

The last 3 positions are for IR and stashing purposes only. Those players will not count toward your total.

The season has begun. Good luck to everyone. But, since I have Russy and MCW, good luck early on to mostly me.

hes better suited as a 6th man.

He's got speed - but not a consistent finisher, shot, passer or defender. He's just too small from what ive seen. He's 6'1 but not very big. I think his ceiing is 80% of what Barbosa's prime was (and thats pretty good).

His floor is Roddy Beabois II

definitely, definitely not comparing the two leagues. this is like aa ball. i seriously just wanted to calibrate what my 367 meant in this scoring system. I know 300 is pretty damn good, but I don't know what's considered legendary.

Also, to talk shit.

Most of our third round picks here are second round picks in Survivor, for example. Each team in Survivor Dynasty should have higher FPPM depth than Survivo teams. Meaning the scores are likely to be higher.
