I never heard this story but the picture of Cheesy looking up at him talking about I'm gonna kick your ass got me dying.

In one of his first practices with the Bulls, Parish botched one of the plays and was amused to find Jordan jawing at him just inches from his face.

“I told him, ‘I’m not as enamored with you as these other guys. I’ve got some rings too,’ ” Parish recalled. “At that point he told me, ‘I’m going to kick your ass.’ I took one step closer and said, ‘No, you really aren’t.’ After that he didn’t bother me.”

on occasion.

I'm surprised there aren't more of these stories. But it was because he wanted to win that much. While it might not endure him to a lot of people on a personal level...can't argue with the results.

..can't argue with
>the results.

also lets not forget MJ knew how to play the media game just as good as the actual game
he knew how to get the writers/reporter types on his side

he couldn't have got that now
but he made em all feel like they were his homies
i think feel said something to the effect he was kind of a "con man" in that respect

shit was just different then

i mean this cat boycotted sports illustrated for like damn near a decade and i don't recall them having any kind of kill piece on him

imagine if someone tried something like that now??

but yeah you know its all kinds of stories out there
