We can get so many stories so fast. We have Percy punching Golden Tate the week of the sb, Percy punching Baldwin this preseason, and Percy almost getting into it bigtime with The Power. Also, Tate allegedly smanged The Power's now ex-wife. What else...sweet Percy allegedly pulled a Pippen on going back into a game during the last drive vs Dallas...hence his weird absence.
There's more...allegedly there's folks on the Hawks roster who aren't in love with The Power's perceived status with the organization/coaching staff. And of course, sweet Percy was allegedly one of the most angry/upset/vocal about the issue. Side note: if the power is headed towards Flacco $ and there's already internal hate, rutt row.
Mix all of that in a blender after throwing out the stuff you aren't buying. Then, add in that this is now two teams for percy where he basically gets banished with some stories. And go ahead..take his two major injuries to support the 'he's injury prone' storyline. Yeah, yeah...I don't 100% buy that part...compare him to Julio Jones for instance..no one calls him that.
Still, an obviously talented guy at wr who appears to have personality issues...it is feeding frenzy time cuz folks luv to hear the story again and again. I'll assume that stuff like this happens often but doesn't get out until folks want to be exonerated for decisions that 'don't make sense' on the surface to us. Percy better be careful or his flaws will be exaggerated, his talents will be undersold, and he'll be shut out of the league pdq.
And really...mofo has a grip of talent. He's high up the list of guys labelled as 'gadget players' who can make a couple of plays and win you a game. It is just a shame that he's getting a rep as a guy who can lose you a locker room or a chunk of your roster.
