Like you said, you can't overhaul a team in one year. Why not roll with the young guy, let him get some more snaps under his belt.

If he's not your guy, you can look to the draft or a veteran next offseason.

First off, Lovie was not the GM in Chicago

Secondly,Trestman is supposedly an offensive genius and he picked McCown off the trash heap last year, so its not like Lovie is the only person who thinks he can play.

Thirdly, it's not like Lovie was the reason the Bears offense was mediocre to bad. It's been mediocre to bad for the entirety of the modern football era.
