I think Joe is doing better...relating to players and being a human, not a football robot. I think he's coming around. I fully agree that he has not been great, but he deserves to at least see the end of the season.
I forget if it's in this blurb or somewhere else, but I read that Philbin needs to make the playoffs and not get embarrassed in the first round. That would be good with me if the team looks competent doing it.

I am disappointed so far, but I don't think it's time to abandon ship. The offense with Tannehill still has a higher ceiling than it would with Moore. I'd rather gamble on progression than go sideways with Moore. It has only been three games, after all.

His situation and clock management decisions are absolutely horrible.
With about 3 minutes left and the ball, GB no timeouts, 3rd and 10. DRAW PLAY. NO CONFIDENCE IN THE QB TO MAKE THE PLAY. If Tannehill can strike us for a first down, it's GAME OVER. WHAT THE SHIT, MAN. Is there seriously much difference between GB having the ball and no timeouts with 2:10 vs 2:45? The risk vs reward there is 100% in favor of passing the ball there. Jesus H Philbin. Update that resume.
And the timeouts late-game. Holy hell @ this. Green Bay ball, we just stuffed them 3 times in a row and they are reeling badly. TIMEOUT MIAMI. Are you shitting me? They're on their heels. We just landed a combo and are about to hit the game ending Haymaker. Nope, let's take 5 and let GB get their shit together first. Same thing at the end of the game. 9 seconds left and the clock is running. GB is shitting themselves rushing to get 1 last play off. TIMEOUT MIAMI. Let's once again give GB a chance to get their shit together. So they set up their personnel just right to get a mismatch they wanted on the outside. GB wins. Miami fails. That's loser coaching through and through. It sucks because the players seem generally prepared and motivated to play. But in a close game like that, you can't have these horrible coaching decisions that can swing the edge to the other team. Philbin's gotta go. This is how it's been his entire tenure in Miami.
Edit - and another huge play of 0 confidence in the QB - early game after the blocked punt, we run it up the middle a few times to no avail. 4th down and like 3 for the TD. We're going for it. DRAW PLAY. 0 CONFIDENCE IN THE QB. Of course GB had like 14 in the box and they stuffed the crap out of it. Jesus H. I seriously want to die.

The cap savings are much bigger for trading vs cutting. So it would be better to trade him for a 4th rounder than just cut him. In the NFL, can you pay part of the salary of a player you're trading? And does that $ count against the salary cap? He'll be hard to trade with that contract, but the lower draft pick cost may help.
