used to be a fun team to watch but their defense is asswater once again

Seattle just beat GB 36 - 16

they beat Denver 43 - 8

(I coulda swore Denver had more than 8 points. damn.)



what have we learned tonight?

-Seattle's Super Bowl win was not a fluke
-their defense is still thorough
-Richard Sherman might be bored af during most games

-as for GB, they look to have a good coverage secondary
-they need to get that O-line healthy

I'd love to see a break-down of this game film to know why A-Rod
only threw short passes. was it mostly good coverage? pressure from the pass rush? or both?

our pass rush wasn't extra notable except for towards the end of the game.

Rodgers found some joy with Nelson vs. Byron Maxwell but that was about it.

that's one thing that's probably not known as much, but our linebackers cover almost as well as our DBs for the most part.

atrocious special teams on both sides in the first half: 300-pound defensive tackles trying to lay out and block punts, Earl Thomas playing hero ball, DuJuan Harris taking kickoffs from eight yards deep in his end-zone.

even though he admitted the collegiate origin, Collinsworth seemed really tickled at Seattle faking jet sweeps and the play-action zone-read pass...two concepts that high schools pull off regularly now.

I despise Collinsworth...but that sounds a lot worse than it really is.

There was no free agency as we know it, so the team was pretty much the same on D.

The 86 Bears defense was actually better than it was in 85.

If Rivers (who is a good QB) was Seattle's signal caller they would be, at best, a 10-6 team that gets knocked out in the wild card round.


Wilson's unflappable poise and cartoon-like escapability has allowed them to do something that is very hard. Dominate the league with a below average offensive line and good but not great receiving corps.

Rivers would be taking 6 sacks a game behind that line and throwing umpteen picks.

But on the flip side, Seattle's D allows Wilson to play relaxed. He isn't expected to carry the team the way a River's is expected to do. If he has the type of season I expect him to have, Wilson will be in my top 5 by season's end.

He listed his top 5. Rivers had a bigger load to carry & completed 70% percent of his passages last year. A lot of people thought he might be done, and he had an incredible year last year. It's no crime to edge him over Russy right now.


4 Better or 4 Worse

Yeah actually I think it is a crime to put him over Wilson.

He is not actually BETTER at any aspect of football than Russell Wilson.


And I can't stand Wilson or the Hawks.



Rivers completion percentage was so good because all he did was Captain Checkdown the whole season.

It worked, he is a top 10 guy right now I guess but nah, I don't care if it's QB for San Diego, Seattle or any other team in the league. If you would rather have Rivers than Wilson, you are fucking up.

Hawks are way too good to even be fair. As a Packers fan, this season will be incredibly boring. Steamroll the regular season, lose to these fucks in the playoffs.
