"Fantasy Keeper Advice Post"

I'm starting this off with my own dilemma, but feel free to make this a post where you all ask for keeper suggestions.

So I won my family league last year, and I have 5 guys worth keeping, but can only keep 3.

Players can be kept for a max of 3 years by one person, and costs you two rounds above his draft spot.

Since I won the league, I'll be picking last in a 10 team league.

Here's my options:

Eddie Lacy (Year 1 keeper, would cost me a 4th round pick)
Alfred Morris (Year 2 keeper, would cost me a 12th round pick)
Andrew Luck (Year 2 keeper, would cost me a 7th round pick)
Alshon Jeffery (Year 1 keeper, would cost me my last round pick)
Julius Thomas (Year 1 keeper, would cost me my next to last round pick)

Luck is the most replaceable, so I'm almost certainly dropping him.

Lacy can only be kept for 1 year, so he seems the next likely to be dropped, but he's so good I don't know if I want to do it. Plus, if I keep him and Morris, I can wait a bit before taking a RB, and draft other needs early. Thomas could be a one year fluke though, and I can always spend an early pick on Jimmy Graham if I've got two stud RBs and a stud WR as late keepers.

My tentative plan though is keeping Morris, Jeffery, and Thomas.

thoughts?

Julio Jones
Jamal Charles
Zac Stacy
Brandon Marshall
Shane Vereen
Doug Martin
Justin Hunter

My natural inclination is Jones, Charles, and Marshall. But I'm suddenly leaning to Vereen over Marshall.

Vereen is good, but he isn't better than Marshall. I doubt his ADP will ever surpass Marshall's ADP. Knowing that you will have two WR1's and and one RB1 will put you at an advantage over having one WR1, one RB1 and one low end RB2.

Lol..you know better than to give up an elite WR when you running 4 wideouts..lol shit, you can still get Shane Vereen in next years draft as a flex back and grab you another bell cow, plus come up on some decent receivers. I do not know how your league works, but in the leagues I am in, people use Vereen as a package deal with another equally talented player to get Brandon Marshall. I have not seen the inverse, nor will I see it unless that person what to see me veto said trade. Julio, Jamaal and Brandon is a great start to building a formidable squad. Do the right thing and keep those guys.

But..what if he doesn't and you decided to give up Marshall? You know he will gone forever and someone will want way too much in order for you to get him back. As talented as Vereen is, he is not an elite RB. Brandon Marshall is an elite WR. You never give up elite players while they are playing at an elite level.

I have Vereen in quite a few teams of mine. He is on my bench(tentatively). I also have Brandon Marshall on a few of my teams. He is starting in ALL of the teams I have him in.

I still think you keep your elites and gamble on drafting Vereen next year. If you do, I am sure he will not be your first option in next year's draft, unless he does something phenomenal this season. But, Vereen is someone you want to play the matchup game with and definitely put him in as a flex and bye RB. The choice is yours, man.

QB - Tom Brady, Josh McCown
RB - Jamaal Charles, Ben Tate (accidentally picked him over Zac Stacy), Jeremy Hill, James White, Ahmad Bradshaw, Christine Michael, Latavius Murray
WR - Brandon Marshall, Julio Jones, DeAndre Hopkins, Kendall Wright, Kenny Britt, Cody Latimer
TE - Jordan Cameron, Heath Miller

>QB - Tom Brady, Josh McCown

Tom will do well with Gronkowski back. Josh..well..he has two big receivers plus a big rookie TE. I hope he does well for you.

>RB - Jamaal Charles, Ben Tate (accidentally picked him over
>Zac Stacy), Jeremy Hill, James White, Ahmad Bradshaw,
>Christine Michael, Latavius Murray

Wow, you have a lot of running backs! How deep is your roster slots? Also, do you plan on playing all of these guys? I like Jamaal, a no brainer. Ben Tate is good, but I am concerned about his health. I could see you playing Jeremy Hill a lot, especially if he shines. As for the rest, I do not see you scoring points with them, but..who knows what will happen, right? Lol

>WR - Brandon Marshall, Julio Jones, DeAndre Hopkins, Kendall
>Wright, Kenny Britt, Cody Latimer

I like your WR corps the best. My only concerns is with Britt and Hopkins. Brandon, Julio and Kendall are great receivers. Latimer may be a sleeper.

>TE - Jordan Cameron, Heath Miller

I like these guys, especially Heath. I do not understand why people pass up on Heath? He will score you points, barring another injury setback. I like Jordan, but will he get the ball?

So..

QB-Tom Brady
WR-Brandon Marshall
WR-Julio Jones
WR-Kendall Wright
RB-Jamaal Charles
RB- Ben Tate
TE-Jordan Cameron
FLEX-Hill/Hopkins/Latimer

Hmm...

B-

Gotta know who you got @ DEF and K to really see the overall picture.

Decent squad, though.

I got Josh in my other league too. I'm expecting him to throw a lot.

We start 2 rbs and a flex. I don't plan on playing any of the guys outside of Charles, Tate, and Hill. And then Bradshaw once (not if) T-Rich stumbles.

We gotta start 4 wrs and a flex. So it was slim pickings early. Kenny Britt is a flyer. I might've taken him as a flyer for 4 years in a row in diff leagues.

I think Jordan will get the ball cuz their receivers are shit. And they'll be down. I want those garbage points. I might mess around and play Heath at a flex during bye weeks or if injuries set in. He's so consistent.

I know it's a lot of wrs. I think it was cuz the league was 10 team once now it's 12.

Young GZ has a leg. Right now, I am big on Cody Parkey. I prefer him over most kickers right now. But, hopefully, YGZ will boot some long yarders for you. As for your D, I like the Rams. Their d line is very talented. They look nasty! Like a young fearsome 4some reincarnate. I think the secondary is their weakness. Let's see how they do for you. The Bills have a decent defense as well. I see you playing the match up game between the Rams and Bills.

My grade of your team stands for now, but I do hope you do well. Good luck though.

Lacy should be much better than Morris, but the extra year and difference in draft pick is huge.
