1. Thon Maker - 2016 - The obvious choice. His talent and unique game can't be questioned. I don't think we'll get him though.
2. Malik Newman - 2015 - Fantastic scoring guard. Reminds me a lot of a bigger and stronger Brandon Knight.
3. Harry Giles - 2016 - Still getting back into form after his knee injury, but this picture with MKG made me realize how huge he is. Put that on top of his skills and he's gonna be a stud.
4. Jaylen Brown - 2015 - A super talented wing. I think we might get an edge on him if he doesn't commit soon to UCLA. Reminds me a bit of Stanley Johnson
5. Jayson Tatum - 2016 - A lot like Brown. He's a versatile talented wing.
6. Udoka Azubuike - 2016 - My favorite big in college. A man child. And another Azubuike in Big Blue.
7. Cheik Diallo - 2015 - A super defensive big. I want him over all of the other bigs in 2015.
8. Derryck Thornton - 2016 - A fantastic pg. My favorite in HS. A true point. We never have any luck with Findlay Prep though. I'll be upset when we miss out on him, but we have Tyler. And Tyler is gonna be great. And by 2016 he'll be one of the best pgs in Kentucky history. So, Thornton is ranked higher.
9. Skal Labissiere - 2015 - Just like Diallo, but I want him a bit less. Excellent defensive instincts. Still learning. Needs to gain weight.
10. Malik Monk - 2016 - A fantastic shooter. Can we steal him from Arkansas? If so, they'll hate us more than when we took Archie Goodwin.
11. Brandon Ingram - 2015 - Another super wing. A backup plan to Brown.
12. Tyus Battle - 2016 - Another great big guard. Cal usually comes into NJ and get what he wants. So I can see Battle as a definite.
13. Carlton Bragg - 2015 - A great big post player. Really wants to play in Lexington. Tends to stay on the perimeter a little too much for me. That's why I want Diallo more. But if we could get both?
14. Antonio Blakeney - 2015 - A backup plan to Newman. Not as good, but still a great player.
15. Stephen Zimmerman - 2015 - I like him, just not that intrigued by him. I don't know what to make of his game. Maybe I'm missing something the scouts are seeing.
16. M.J. Cage - 2016 - Son of Michael Cage. I like the way the kid moves. And he keeps getting better.
17. Diamond Stone - 2015 - We're now coming after him because he's a package with Newman. I don't get the comparisons to Boogie. I'd rather have Diallo or Skal.
18. Doral Moore - 2015 - A backup to the backup to the backup plan. I really think he'll come no matter what other bigs we have or recruit.

I'm only now starting to get into the next draft class (I really only take it one year at a time) so I'm trying to play catch-up somewhat. I know which of these Duke is pursuing, but not really how the pundits feel it'll shake out.
I know Newman and Brown are supposed to be UK leans. Is Thon Maker a Kansas guy, I assume you're thinking?
Just committed to Cuse. Two alumni parents(pops sounds mad as shit) and grew up minutes from OSU....sounds like Matta took it for granted that he was OSU's if he got good enough to get the offer. Now he's blowing up nationally and headed to 'Cuse.

I know he's kinda looked at as a Marquette lean/lock (his brother just transferred there), but he's got Kentucky and Duke offers that might be hard to turn down.
He's probably the only five-star talent in a long, long time from my area so I was just curious what national folks thought of him. I know ESPN has him at No. 5 right now

Our backcourt is better than last year, and we actually have a big guy who can rebound, maybe even two of them.
That is an impressive assemblage of talent, tho...y'all deserve #1 preseason for sure and will probably top the polls during the season...but we'll see y'all in the spring.

ESPNU will broadcast the first three games of the tour from Aug. 10-12, while the newly launched SEC Network, which makes its debut on Aug. 14, will pick up the final three games from Aug. 15-17. All six games are scheduled for a 1 p.m. ET tip.

We got in late on this kid, but we're coming on strong. I think it's either us or UCONN. I like his game. A strong driver. And he sounds like he wants to come in and be a part of the team and compete. Good.
I don't think if we land him it'll cost us Malik. Maybe Blakeney, but I think Blakeney wants to sign soon and Malik will wait until spring. I can do without Blakeney to tell you the truth if we get Briscoe, cuz we already have Matthews.
Last weekend, Isaiah Briscoe took his official visit to Kentucky and picked up a formal offer. By all accounts, the visit went extremely well, with Briscoe and his parents taking in the UK Women’s Clinic and hanging out with the team. Briscoe’s father, George, spoke to the Cats Pause’s Chris Fisher earlier this week, and practically gushed about the visit:
“Kentucky, where do I start? It’s who you think they are and more. It’s not a myth. They do things big,” Briscoe’s father, George, told CatsPause.com Wednesday.
“It’s a well-oiled machine. It’s just tight down to the minute. It’s ran almost like an NBA team but with academics and social awareness. Now that I’ve seen it, it’s the model. No question it’s the model.“
Briscoe originally planned to wait util the spring to sign, but his father told Fisher he’s not too sure about that now. “I’m not sure. They went back to Union, N.J. and I work in D.C. so I’ll see them this weekend and we’ll meet as a family.”
