That Thunder team HAD James Harden.....if they didn't have Harden, they would have never made it to the Final in 2012. James Harden was the SECOND best player on that team until the Finals. On the other hand, if they still had Harden then we wouldn't be talking about breaking up the team.
After the 1998 Lakers made it to the WCF & they were amongst the preseason favorites to win it all in 1999 (Which is why Harris got fired after the slow start).....instead they got swept in the 2nd rd while Bean was Russy Westbrookin it all series long.

Screen-roll between CP3 and Blake with Reddick in the far corner. Either CP3 comes off the screen but if OKC decided to jump it, Blake just slips the screen into the paint. At that point, Reddick's man either has to make an early decision to leave him wide open in the corner or rotate into the paint, any hesitation and it's Blake going strong to the rim.
The other set begins with Reddick going to the baseline, comes off the curl, the down screener (Blake) seals which becomes Reddick's first option if he can't shoot. If he he doesn't have the shot or the Blake entry, he resets to CP3, Blake comes out and goes into the screen-roll/slip mentioned above.
OKC has no consistent answer. Russy's on ball D is being exposed as well...he's gambling and reaching, that doesn't work against CP3. If you're off-balance at all, you're toast.

Ibaka needs to do a better job of hedging & recovering (he hasn't been terrible) but Russy has to maneuver the screen much better than he has today & harass Cp3 once he crosses mid-court. You can't let Cp3 take his time & get comfortable, that's when he pick you apart. They also need to stay glued to Redick & hope that Ibaka can hedge/recover in time to bother Blake or have a weak-side defender rotate off Barnes/Jordan. If anything Ibaka might be able to get there in time to challenge/box-out Jordan & Barnes is a streaky shoot thus he might be having a bad day in the office.

1) It starts with ball-pressure. As you said, Russy has to pick-up CP3 farther out and increase the ball pressure. You let CP3 get to his spots and initate that comfortably, it's damn near impossible to stop him. If Russy won't stop his reaching and gambling, Brooks has to stick Reggie Jackson on him...he's a better positional defender than Russy. It's all about ball pressure and disrupting rhythm...today was a walk in the park for CP3.
2) Play Ibaka against DJ and Perkins/Collison play Griffin. The Clippers' counter to the trap on the pnr is to slip Griffin on the screen which puts him in the paint with obviously the ability to finish but more dangerously, he is a very good passer. Instead of using Ibaka to trap, I use Perkins/Collison so Ibaka can rotate from DJ to Blake and the weak-side defender has to rotate hard into DJ in order to limit the lob AND then has to recover to the corner shooter. If Blake wants to pull-up against Ibaka or post against Perkins/Collison, I take my chances with that.
It's a really dangerous set, and if you have the corner shooters like the Clipps do, it makes it really tough because the corner defenders have to make decisions....but in the end, they have to rotate and recover. The set is very similar to what we used to run with Kobe and Pau down the stretch of games.

-You can't trap/blitz Cp3 like Top5..he has superior handles/vision -James Harden isn't on the team (killed the Spurs in the 4th quarter) -KD was hands down the best player in the 2012 WCF -ReDick/Jordan are more seasoned thus aren't going to disappear like Danny Green/Splitter did in 2012 when things went South. -It took Ibaka going 11-11 in a critical Gm 4 for OKC to squeak out a win the game. -Kawhi was a rookie in 2012.

like if a guy is dribbling on a fast break with a defender trailing and the dribbler stops and the defender runs into him...its still a foul, doesn't matter if he's trying to shoot or not.
in reference to the forearm..you can touch another player (besides lebron) that doesn't mean the contact was illegal.

If you have your arm locked out, while guarding a player, you are technically in space that is not yours. When contact is made, if there is enough force between the two arms (even if its caused by the offense) the foul is on the defender.
Its the same idea as if the defenders arm is to the extended to the side and an offensive player runs into his arm as opposed to running around the arm. If there is enough contact that the offensive player's movement is impeded, then the foul is on the defender.
The defender is only allowed the space he's in (assuming he gets there be fore an offensive player) and the veritcal space above.
putting a forearm on a player doesn't impede his movement unless there is force applied.
