I personally woulda given it to Hornacek, but the Suns missing the playoffs pretty much nullified that in terms of voting.

but the rationale is that Pop is the best coach

Horny likely would have won if they made the playoffs. They didnt. Completely reasonable.

......... while sporting over 30+ different starting line-ups. There was a stretch when the bench players were winning games against western conference playoffs teams on the road no less. They also crushed the bottom feeders which is a sign of a well coached team.

I think if PHX had made the playoffs, Hornacek was a shoe in.
He still should've won it.
But Pop deserves it too.
