Their physicality is wildly underrated.
The big key is if good or bad Andrew Harrison shows up. He's their biggest positional advantage in terms of size, speed, length. Plus, defensively, he needs to frustrate VanVleet, who is without question the key cog for the Shockers.

Both savvy teams on both ends, both strong guard play, both hit 3s, both physical down low, both shoot over 70% from the stripe.
I have WSU winning it all, admittedly. There are some serious speed bumps at every step, but Louisville and WSU both have the consistency on both ends to pass the eye test of "champion."
Kentucky could get it done today, but the guard play has been so inconsistent. And really, them making 3s early might be the worst possible thing, as it may make them comfortable shooting it. They're gonna have to pound the ball in to win.
We need to disrupt them on defense at least a little bit. Our transition defense has been slow.
On offense, take it inside. They have no answer for that. And hopefully we can start going to the line, but these refs have been suspect so far.
A-1 looks bothered by his elbow wild dribbling. He's not pounding the ball. That's understandable. But as a team we need to be more careful with the rock.
Make meaningful cuts and be decisive and crisp with our passes.

during the timeout. But at this point, I think you're arguing for the sake of arguing. If you honestly think that shaky three point attempt by FVV coming out of a t.o, with 3 full seconds on the clock was the best play they could have gotten...we'll just agree to disagree.

Actually, I'll answer.
Today, they were 12-22 against an elite Wichita State team for 39 points. You have to go back to the Tennessee game in January for a performance between both of them that good.
They were good against LSU and Georgia, which, because neither are tourney teams, I wasn't blown away by. You're supposed to be better than LSU and Georgia.
They weren't good at all in the losses at the start of the month (they were terrible, in fact), nor was either of them good against Florida either time.
As I've said for a month now, Aaron Harrison has been the better twin. That's been unquestionably true, at least from a consistency standpoint.
But since you refuse to hear any non-Kentucky fan ever say anything remotely critical of any Kentucky player ever, I'll politely bow out here.

Didn't watch the Georgia game, admittedly. Watched both Florida games, LSU game, Kansas State game, both Arkansas games, the last Alabama game, the last South Carolina game... the first Florida game... those are just the conference games off the top of my head that I watched.
ridiculous team defense, Stokes is a grown man, and props to Richardson -- he's probably the most improved player in the program since Dane Bradshaw. he always got playing time because of his defense, but two years ago defenders were literally sagging off him by eight feet.
great run. if a team beats them the way they're playing now, it's because they're just better.

You just can't miss lay ups when the other team doesn't miss threes, very happy with Texas' season, we definitely overachieved, should have a great squad next year.

Still high from this game. GOD DAMN that was a war. The twins were chopping heads today - that was the best I've seen them play all year. Under control the entire game, drawing fouls (Andrew really took used his frame today), and you've gotta love how they tightened up the handle in the second half. Their passing (along with everyone else's) and nonchalant dribbling had me wincing for 20 straight minutes, but damn. They figured it out after halftime.
Julius went off. Six fucking assists and some grown-man rebounds. Clutch free throws.
James was itching to shoot more, but I was REALLY pleased with his decision making. Clutch shots when we really needed them - the one before halftime and the janky drive down the lane in the 2nd were necessary.
Louisville fans are shitting themselves. Let Cal beat them again in the tournament - I might be checking their message boards more than ours.

But we played so well. I'm just happy to see those kids having fun and enjoying it. They looked dead during the middle of the year, but now having fun with the process.

our outside shooting vs your offensive rebounding/second chance points. We did a pretty good job of negating the big guy from Texas... I'm pretty sure we're gonna try to force you to best us over the top and sag on your big in the paint.
