Some of Pitt's freshmen played well at times, and actually looked like the best Panthers on the floor. So that's promising. Florida was just a lot better. They beat Pitt up.
Weird season for Pitt. Wasn't expecting much, then they started off looking good and went into a sort of tailspin at the end of the regular season. Then they played well in the postseason, which is a new twist on a Pitt season. Sad to see Lamar leave, he was great to have around. I'll be pulling for him to sneak into the 2nd round of the Draft and work his way onto an NBA team next year.
I don't follow recruiting too much, but it seems like Pitt has some talent coming in, so I'll go into the offseason optimistically.

If we could shoot, we beat Dayton by 20. Unfortunately the terrible shooting wasn't even that far out of the ordinary for this team, the last month or so.

Cuse football is more than decent these days. They could probably be better if they blatantly cheated, but as far as anyone knows they don't.
Ain't no back to the drawing board though. Cuse will be right back in the mix next year like they always are.

I actually said I wanted OSU to win: 1)because I thought Dayton would be the tougher matchup for Syracuse. 2)Because I wanted another shot at OSU in the tournament and moreso Craft.
I'm not blaming the refs. Syracuse made 2 jumpshots the whole game and was 0-10 from 3.
But that flagrant foul ruling is bullshit. I flip out every time it's called.....even moreso in a 2 point NCAA loss. People who never played basketball must've made that rule. Defenders dry humping legs and throwing their face into the offensive players elbow is rewarded with free throws and the ball.

that was clowning Craft for fouling the shit out of everyone. I think you OSU fans even made it the official Ohio St. season post .....until they started losing. If I had real beef with Ohio St. I would've been upping that post quite often the last two months but I left it alone.
Nothing OSU No 1 said seemed to have anything to do with that. I never clowned OSU for losing to Dayton or said it was an embarrassing loss or blamed the Cuse loss on the refs.....and those were the things he said he was heated about.

Wiggins got six shots not just because of passivity but because SO MANY FUCKING POSSESSIONS passed where Wiggins simply didn't get a touch!
Then, when Nastic and Powell are both playing with 4 fouls with about five minutes left... they settle for jumpers or pass the ball too many times! FEED ELLIS! LET WIGGINS DRIVE!
I realize that teams with length block shots, but Ellis has performed well against length most of the year and Wiggins has penetrated against nearly everyone due to his athleticism. You can't give up going to the rack! Especially when it was WORKING at getting Powell in foul trouble!
I was overjoyed to see Stanford win, because I'm so happy for Dawkins, but good grief, so bizarre watching such magnificently inept offense from a team with such a wide variety of offensive talent.
