MORE MADNESS THAN YOU CAN SHAKE A STICK AT!
12 PM: FSU vs. #6 Virginia. ESPN2.
Simple for FSU: beat the Wahoos, get into the NCAA Tournament. UVA needs to win to keep the longshot #1 seed in the Big Dance alive.
12 PM: Illinois vs #8 Michigan. ESPN.
Illinois has won 5 of their last 6, with four of those wins over tourney teams. The problem? The one loss was a 30-point blowout at home... to the Wolverines. Can they at least keep this one interesting?... probably not, when the Wolverines have more at stake (the #1 seed).
1 PM: Mizzou vs. #1 Florida. ESPNU.
Same deal for the Tigers as it is for the Seminoles: a win against Florida would get them into the tournament. Florida has almost nothing to lose, as they would still get a 1 seed regardless.
2 PM: Pitt vs. #15 UNC. ESPN2.
Pitt should be safely in the tourney after yesterday's win... but they still have only one win against a *possible* tournament team. A win against UNC would put them safely in the field, no sweat.
2 PM: #24 OSU vs. Nebraska. ESPN.
WATCH THIS GAME. Nebraska is the team everyone's talking about, with good reason. They should be safely in the field, but a win against the Bucks would increase their seed, maybe putting them into a 7-10 game. OSU struggled big time against Purdue, and they'd like to get their mojo back here.
2:30 PM: Dayton vs. St. Joseph's. NBC Sports Network.
Lunardi has both of these teams in the "Last Four In" for the Big Dance. The winner has a good shot at getting in. The loser is almost certainly out.
3 PM: South Carolina vs. Tennessee. ESPNU.
The Vols are not safely in. Losing to the Gamecocks would be a brutal hit for their resume.
6:30 PM: Minnesota vs. #12 Wisconsin. BTN.
Minnesota is likely still on the outside looking in. An upset over the Badgers is their best chance to put their foot in the door.
6:30 PM: Richmond vs. #23 VCU. NBC Sports Network.
CROSSTOWN BEEF!
6:30 PM: Southern Miss vs. Louisiana Tech. CBS Sports Network.
This is only the C-USA Semifinals, but both of these teams are still theoretically in contention for at-large bids, meaning whichever of these teams can win will likely win the finals and be a very hot Cinderella pick.
7 PM: NC State vs. #11 Syracuse. ESPN.
Last time these teams played, it required a classic State collapse for Cuse to pull out the 1-point W. State only makes the Dance with an automatic bid. Cuse probably a longshot for a 1 seed, but certainly losing here would bump them to a 3 seed or so.
7 PM: Houston vs. #5 Louisville. ESPN2.
Louisville just beat Rutgers by 61. They would've won by 27 even if they hadn't scored. They may be on a mission.
7 PM: #16 Iowa State vs. #10 Kansas. ESPNU.
Why isn't this on one of the main two ESPNs? This is the game of the night. Winner will likely go on to win the Big 12 Tourney. Kansas needs the win for a 1 seed, ISU needs it for a 2.
7 PM: LSU vs. Kentucky. ESPN3.
Kentucky apparently has tweaked their offense, according to Cal. Will this tweak make the Harrison twins stop shooting terrible forced clunkers? LSU gave the Wildcats all sorts of trouble this season, beating them at home and nearly beating them in Rupp.
9 PM: Clemson vs. #7 Duke. ESPN.
Clemson beat Duke at Littlejohn this year... convincingly. KJ McDaniels is one of the best pro prospects that people don't know about. Duke could still get a 2 seed, and they will need to fight hard to stop McDaniels.
9 PM: #21 UConn vs. #13 Cincy. ESPN2.
These teams split in the regular season. Winner gets Louisville tomorrow. A rivalry between Shabazz Napier and Sean Kilpatrick, with some barbs traded after Napier won POY in the conference. Could be fun.
9 PM: Colorado vs. #4 Arizona. Pac-12 Network.
The Buffs should be safely in after beating Cal last night... but an upset of the Wildcats would certainly make Colorado breathe easy. Arizona, like Florida, unlikely to lose their 1 seed in the West even with a loss here, so not much at stake except pride.
9 PM: Baylor vs. Texas. ESPNU.
Baylor beat a good Oklahoma squad convincingly last night. Texas won big on a hot West Virginia team last night. Winner heads to the Big 12 Finals.
9:25 PM: Ole Miss vs. Georgia. ESPN3.
MARSHALL HENDERSON BABY LOOK OUT!
9:30 PM: Xavier vs. #14 Creighton. FOX Sports 1.
These teams are tied in the regular season, splitting their 6-point wins. McDermott has been unstoppable lately. Maybe Gus Johnson and Bill Raftery on the call?
11:30 PM: Stanford vs. UCLA. FOX Sports 1.
Stanford looks safely in, but they can breathe a lot easier with an upset of UCLA, a team they split with this season. My movies: http://russellhainline.com My movie reviews: https://letterboxd.com/RussellHFilm/ My beer TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@thebeertravelguide
