As the best player on his team.

How many times Boogie been?

Love Boogie, btw, but you absolutely cannot love Boogie
and dislike Carmelo Anthony.

Both are cranky, kinda-athletic guys with super skill sets.

Carmelo has routinely demonstrated the ability to make his
teams competitive. That hasn't been the case for Boogie.

There's also zero reason Boogie hasn't yet cracked 20 points
per game in the midget era.

I just pointed out the irony.

Boogie is more athletic and physically dominant for
his position (center in today's NBA) than Carmelo has
been/is for his position (small forward in the most
athletic era ever for small forwards).

If you like Boogie because he's great despite not
being a great athlete, then you sound like an idiot
disliking Carmelo.

Ba, nothing sneaks past these big, pretty, brown eyes,
(attached to this here Imhotepian brain)

So I just enjoy pointing out ways to help black people

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

and that is saying something. He would pull guys for one mistake. Drummond wasn't getting any love while he was there from that team either. It was a weird season. They should have won, but didn't have the chemistry AT ALL, which mostly lies at the feet of Calhoun.

Anthony Davis is scary dogg. He's like KG but with Duncan's poise and temperament.

If he gets some Dream type post moves, it's a wrap.

PG ain't gonna get much better than he is this season. He's already an elite defender and his offensive game is where it's gonna be (25-27 a game, decent boards, decent assist).

I think #2 is pretty good for him over 3 yrs but AD is the future fam.

i've cysed several UK niggas over the years. you just get your ass on your shoulders when i tell you some niggas gon be sorry (or at least NOWHERE near what you thought they'd be), like knight, teague, them twins, NJJ...i don't HATE your dudes.

you can't bring yourself to say one good thing about a duke players and hold on 'til the very fuckin end when comparing them to your guy. shit, you STILL ain't admitted knight ain't better than kyrie.

so, we can have your lil agendas, but don't ever say i HATE kentucky, because that's just a cyse, dogg.

Quinn Cook is still a mediocre college player and you STILL fighting it. You don't even like him. That's how bad you hate UK.

Sad.

>yeah, i got all the Ls, but none of your niggas have done

Of course, our guys are waiting to be invited into the 3 point shooting contest.

Have your guys done anything?

I know Anthony Davis has a developing trophy case right now. National Title. Player of the Year. Gold Medal.

You hyping up a track jacket.

Oh and remember when I said Austin Rivers might be Bayless and you was up in arms, crying and shit.

And guess what?

He may not even have to learn those Dream moves...The route he was going during this young season was scary in itself...

The NBA still goes crazy over Big Men who can control the paint, rebound and drop 18 to 20 points...Size/length in the NBA will always be valued over other positions not held by MJ and Bron....

In crunch time in a tight game an elite wing player that can operate with the ball in his hands is more valuable than an elite big man

I'm just going by NBA history....

Teams ALWAYS go for size when that size can score, rebound and protect the paint....As good as P.G. has been this season (that dude scares me as a Bulls fan), u know who scares me even more?

Hibbert...

Because when those shots are not falling in for that elite wing player (such as it was for PG against Miami when he was struggling that last game), it was Hibbert who was killing shit out there, sometimes without even scoring....

This is just NBA 101, TRUTH...We all go gaga over game-changing PG's, offensively talented wing players, ect...

But as soon as a big man comes along and gets on some double double shit and provides that defensive presence, it's a wrap...

BIG and talented always wins....

Unless u MJ or Bron....lol

The NBA is largely a perimeter players game now, the days of the dominant big man is over. Dwight is the best one now and he's really not THAT good. They too centers from the 90's would eat his food.

I saw a 6'11-7 foot kid (The Brow) that was pulling double doubles out of his ass without a go-to move AND blocking everything in sight...

I don't care about Timmy or Shaq or any of that...My eyes tell me everything I need to know...This kid is in his second year...And he's already as good (or near) Howard was in his second year...

This is all about ceilings...I'm going to go with the 7 footer who will be a double double machine over the scoring wing player 99% of the time....

>KG & Duncan huh?

Read dude...KG is all extra rah-rah and hyper, Duncan ain't. His game is more KG but he has Duncan's temperament. Get it? Got it? Ok...moving on.

>Yeah because it's so easy to just pick up "some Dream type
>post moves" lol

LMAO...you do realize that in today's NBA, all you need is 2-3 post moves and 1-2 counters right? He steals a move or two from Dream and he's good. And that ain't HARD to do. Just takes dedication to your craft/practice. Like Dream figured out the Chinese arithmetic of basketball. Nigga please...

>So Paul George is maxed out at 23 and going to get any
>better?

He doesn't need to improve as a defender...he's already there. His offensive game right today?: 24.7ppg, 5.7rpg, 3.4apg, 47.5%FG, 42.7%3PT, 86%FT (2spg too)...You see this dude getting exponentially better than this? He's already 4 years into his career dude. To put that into perspective, LeBron has only improved as a more efficient scorer since year 4 (Statistically). His stats across the board are pretty much what they were yr 4 except he shoots better from the field, 3pt and FT line. Bron's a better team defender now too but PG is already there. I'm not sure PG can get much more efficient than he already is as a wing player on offense either. A post game might work well for him but still, 30+ a night consistently? I dunno.

You may as well crown him GOAT if he pushes these avg's exponentially. In 3 yrs I could see 26-27ppg, 6.5rpg, 5apg, 49%FG, 43%3PT, 88%FT (2.5spg)...that's his max IMO. He might push the scoring a lil more if they need him to in Indy but that's a big if.

PG get's any better than that and he should have a ring and a dynasty on the way...and we talking about him in the GOAT convo. I don't see him being THAT good.

>Unless they can put a team around him AD he could be Sharif
>Abdur Rahim

FOH dogg...I can't even have a serious hoops discussion with you if this is your evaluation of Anthony Davis. Like you don't watch NO other basketball than the Lakers if this is what you see.

AD in 3yrs should be: 26ppg, 13rpg, 4apg, 4bpg, 1.5-2spg. The stronger he gets and the more he adds to his game, the more deadly he'll be.

We are in year 2...he's 20 and he's at 18.8ppg/10.2rpg/1.6apg/3.6bpg/1.6spg on 49.8%FG and 84%FT. And he ain't even made 'the leap' yet. He just got 'comfortable' being a pro. LMAO AD ain't gotta STAY in NO either but even if he does, he'll be no worse than KG on the Wolves. Personally, I think he might end up better than KG. 03-04 KG is AD's baseline IMO.

But we'll see.

Lebron was an inconsistent volume scorer and now he's the most efficient player in the league, I think that's significant. KD is in his 7th year and still getting better.

I don't see him being THAT type of scorer. Do you know how many people are averaging 26ppg in the NBA RIGHT TODAY? 1. 13rpg is a stretch, I don't where the fuck you're getting 4apg, even though he's close now the 4bpg is a stretch, Deke is the only person to do that in the last 20 years.

>We are in year 2...he's 20 and he's at

Lol, do you actually understand what a "baseline" is? KG's MVP season when he averaged 24,14&5 is AD's "baseline"? Put the crack pipe down.

Yeah, we will, lol

>People that actually PAID DREAM TO TUTOR THEM didn't pick up
>"Dream-type post moves, lol

FOH with this, "spend 3 days with dream and learn his career" shit. But to even entertain this garbage, Dwight's wack ass has even picked up a few moves from Dream. Yeah they stiff as hell and he doesn't sell the fakes AT ALL but he looks better down low than he did 2 seasons ago. Last night's game was a clear indication of that. Anthony Davis is a MUCH more fluid offensive player than Dwight. 2 Summers of footwork focus, shake practice, baby hooks and up and unders and dude will kill on the block. 2 Summers.

>And he's improved exponentially each year!

And at some point, the growth slows down...PG is near that point. I didn't say he won't improve but he jumped 7 points in ONE season...he's at 29-31 a game if he does that next year. I'd be a lil shocked if he did. I see him at about 90% of his potential right now. And what I posted earlier is where I see him tapping out.

>"only"? really?

Yeah...he's not boarding more, not assisting more, not stealing more, not blocking more shots and not scoring more. He just gets more out of less which is more effective and that's because he developed in the post and became a more selective 3pt shooter. If we had this discussion about Bron in yr 4, I woulda said, he's at 90% of what he could be. He becomes a better shooter, develops a post game and becomes a better team defender and he's tapped out...aaaaand that's where he is. Matter of fact, I SAID that shit about Bron around yr 4-5 hahahahaa.

>Lebron was an inconsistent volume scorer and now he's the most
>efficient player in the league, I think that's significant. KD
>is in his 7th year and still getting better.

Soooo 48% from the field, 30+% from 3 and 70+% from the line is inconsistent? Really? Volume scorers don't shoot 48%. Maybe you don't understand how that term works. I also don't think you understand the term exponentially that well either. PG's made 5-7 point leaps each season he's been in the L. He won't continue to do that and I think he'll tap out at around 27ppg. Even if he gets MORE efficient...which is rare for a SG/wing player to do. You know how many starting G's or F's have shot >>> 50% while shooting >>>40% from 3 while taking at least 3 attempts from 3 a game (PG takes 6 right now) in the last 23 yrs? 3

http://bkref.com/tiny/mI6g5

>Paul George has plenty of room to grow as a scorer and as an
>efficient scorer, as a rebounder, as a playmaker and as a
>defender. You think he's maxed out already at 23?

Nope but he's damn near maxed. T-Mac. Yr 4, nothing much changed after that. Wasn't seriously hurt until yr 9. PG is at that point. He has about a 10% window to grow, then it's a wrap.

>Not really comparing them as players, the point is he could be
>a talented guy stuck on a shitty team for the majority of his
>prime.

NO is already better this year than last and the better he gets, the better they'll be.

>I don't see him being THAT type of scorer. Do you know how
>many people are averaging 26ppg in the NBA RIGHT TODAY? 1.
>13rpg is a stretch, I don't where the fuck you're getting
>4apg, even though he's close now the 4bpg is a stretch, Deke
>is the only person to do that in the last 20 years.

He plays 33 mpg and takes 14 shots fam. In 3 yrs, he'll be up to 36 and shooting 18-20 times a game easy AND he's a good FT shooter. 26ppg will be easy for him. Sooo doing the math: 50% of 18-20 shots = 18-20pts + 6 out of 7 FT's (adjusting for inflation since he shoots 5 out of 6 right today) = 24-27ppg...EASY. And he's already at almost 11 boards...Drummond's at almost 13, why couldn't AD get there. Like 13 is out of reach or some shit? It's YEAR 2 DOGG!!!

>Lol, do you actually understand what a "baseline" is? KG's MVP
>season when he averaged 24,14&5 is AD's "baseline"? Put the
>crack pipe down.

Yeah...it is. I expect similar numbers out of AD for at least 6 seasons starting at his 4th year forward. *shoulder shrug* He's already ahead of the curve.

>Yeah, we will, lol

Well I will...you'll just check the boxscore.

"This season, we ranked our top 25 under 25 based not on who they are now, but who they can become. It's not solely based on potential as much as the projection on how much of that full potential can be reached. In a sense, this ranking represents how these players would be drafted if each was available in the draft right now.

To be clear: This is a ranking of how we would order these players if we were starting a franchise and would have them for the next several years, not just this season."

>the current climate around each player

... last year, every ESPN article had Kyrie well above Wall, ceiling an all. Now, because Wall's having a better season, he's multiple spaces above Kyrie.

Regardless of what side one falls down upon in that argument, the sudden narrative shift is laughable. And if Kyrie starts playing better again, they'll go right back to putting him on top, as if this article never existed.

if he go into YEAR FIVE with no jacket, this over...and i don't care if they both make it.

and stop saying playoffs like both teams ain't bout 4 years away from real title hopes...LMAO...i'm only on playoffs for this agenda, nothing else. because i don't wanna hear dudes using it against kyrie no more.

if i had the will, i'd take this second all-star appearance--this STARTING all-star appearance--and i would wait it out, while they paired him with jabari or wiggs or rodney at SF. that's the BEST CASE to put him in TITLE contention. yanno, like steph couldn't get the warriors no where for 3 years (still not a title contender tho).

but, here i am...cysing "playoffs"

whatever

But I think Klay and Rubio are where they should be...

To me Klay is a damn good player (still needs that PG to truly make him pop though...But as long as he's with Curry, he's going to be a problem on the perimeter)....

And Rubio is good, but that jumper is still lacking....

Have not followed Vucevic too much....

-Leaves a lot to be desired on his drives to the bucket and in transition (He's slowly starting to attack more often this year. Last year when defenders would run him off the 3 pt line, he'd take an 18 footer instead of just driving for the higher percentage.)

-Passing out of the double team needs (imo) serious work.He makes some pretty horrible decisions with the ball. (I'd include "court vision" in my list, but I don't think that's really something you can teach to an nba player used to playing one way his whole life.)

-Also, he could work on his post up game a little bit. For a SG of his size, it'd be nice if he could post up smaller defenders when we're having an off shooting night.

Oh...don't get it twisted...I dig his game...Klay's shot is fucking pretty...

I'm an old school B-Ball head...Which means I value big men and players that can get their own shot over pure shooters....

If Klay learns how to come off those screens and picks and turns into a new age Reggie Miller that should be enough for any fan of GS...

As it is, as Curry goes so does Klay...
