If they were doing that all season the Knicks would be in a lot better shape

they shot (other than shump) better percentages because they weren't trying to get theirs.

Because the rest of the team HIT their shots
Those same shots they hit today they've missed all season long

are shot opportunities. melo's teammates aren't shooting worse than him on the season. as shitty as shump and j.r. have been, they've still been not much worse for 2 and better from 3. bargs has been better from everywhere.

melo takes all the shots because he wants to take all the shots, not because if he didn't shoot it other people would be more likely to miss.

the biggest problem in the knicks offense is that they ALL play like black holes because their offensive engine is a black hole. they're trying to get theirs when they can.

the knicks could not possibly be any worse. no one needs to force melo to do anything. maybe he could TRY being part of an actual offense and leading and actual defense. and see if doing anything different works. it's not like they've been successful so far.

i know exactly what melo is. he plays exactly as efficiently as the people around him. the fact that he gets more volume is not a plus or a minus in his favor. i am not a melo hater, but he isn't the key piece on a contender.

if they were losing close games I'd allow the injury card to be played, but they are taking monumental ass beatings...

The single worst move they made this offseason was hiring Jason Kidd... and here is my biggest issue with it... I really think this move was totally thought up by his agent, he was retired for like 3 days, it was like this big behind the scenes attention grab that never made sense for anyone. And it leads me to reason I don't think Kidd will resign, if he was not going to be Nets coach I think he'd still be a Knick. Kidd ain't the type of dude who wants some time off to go play with his kids, he breathes the NBA, he needs it, he won't be able to step away...

So now what? Do you fire the best player in your franchise history 19 games in? Or let this go completely down the drain, the pathetic nature of the Eastern Conference is Kidd's saving grace as it allows the team to buy some more time. But, even thought I saw last night coming, that was humiliating and the fans who stuck through the promises of the future through Johan Petro and Travis Outlaw deserve better

At this point though, I could care less... it's easy to stop caring about a team who does not care themselves, no roster in the league would lose to the Knicks by 30 if they cared
