"Is the NBA Atlantic the worst division in all of pro-sports? :\"

Even the NFC Least which started off horrendously bad will shape up to have a team with a winning record represent.

Thus, that division don't have SHIT on the AHAHAHAHA!!-lantic division with NONE of these teams doing shit. My "tanking" sixers got a shot at the division crown for crying out loud.

When was the last time a division in pro sports came out to be so.. so.. so bleh?

The East in the NBA and NHL overall is pretty sorry and the Eastern divisions in the NFL are both pretty bad (not the Pats I guess) but NOTHING like this. I mean, there are only THREE teams over .500 in the NBA's Eastern Conference. It could sink to two any moment. None are in the the Atlantic. Obviously it can't stay this bad for 82 games, but it's still embarrassing as hell.

And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

Like what are the worst divisional finishes outta the 4 major sports in recent history and if the Atlantic continues to shape up with the divisional winner only nabbing 30-something wins how would this rank.

i would maybe consider the early days of NHL expansion because the six expansion teams formed one division and the original six formed the other. the first year the first placed team in the west (philadelphia) had a better record than only one team (detroit) in the east.

the following year st louis had enough points to finish fourth in the east but the rest of the division was terrible. second place oakland was eight points worse than last place chicago in the east. philly was eight points worse than that in third place in the west.

so, essentially, we have to look at a pretty unusual situation to find something even close if thing stay as they are.

And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

and about 3-4 that are decent and the rest stink.

this might be one of the worst seasons in the NBA Ever because it looks so lackluster and weak on a whole IMO.

the NFL Least is even worse than the Atlantic DIvision in the NBA because the NFL got all of the starting Quarterbacks and those teams are just weak.

the NBA atlantic don't have any superstars on any of those teams period.

Rondo hurt so the celtics don't have any.

sixers none.

toronto Rudy Gay is in the Good, not Great circle.

the Nets Deron Williams ain't there no more, he had a chance and is done mentally.

these 82-game sports are shitting bricks, especially with the NBA's thing being a really enduring problem. it's amazing to me that there still arent that many huge western TV markets. the NBA is praying the Clippers catch on because the Lakers aren't doing shit. NHL has a lot of competitive teams in California but they'd be making more money with the Flames and Oilers being good (which they are not, at all lol)

you beat the team in front of you and they have done that. i dont think anyone thought their 8-0 start made them better than miami. they beat the clippers in LA just now so probably time to STFU, now shout that same boring argument louder.

that was a decent game but it showed me that both teams have a ways to go. i cant see either one of them in the finals to be honest.

also, their average points allowed is 5 points better than the next best team. regardless of their opponents, that's pretty incredible.

not so much their offense, it was kind of greasy and mostly unsuccessful high post plays for david west. but they got several key offensive rebounds and on the defensive end they were dialed in. they turned paul into a dribbling machine and made him a shooter. he was missing everything, even a couple decent opportunities he wound up with after probing the d a ton.

i think they'll both end up over .500 when its said and done.

Still likely in the low to mid 40's but no way the whole division is sub 500 at the end of the season.

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

knicks need 39-28, nets need 37-30. i doubt it happens for either one and that's just to get one game over.

no one is questioning how shitty the other three teams are, and with good reason.

Neither team is as bad as their record suggests.

Nets have played all season without their best player and the knicks have been in almost every game this season, just havent been able to pull it out down the stretch. Certqinly the return of chandler will help.

You wanna wager on both teams finishing above .500?

they have been decimated by injuries... getting lopez is back is huge, he's the reason they beat Memphis... if Deron comes back healthy too (let alone pierce, ak47, terry) this is a team who can play 7 games above .500 from here out... not sure they are capable of much better then that though... they did have a pretty rough November (west coast trip, only team in nba with zero back to back home games so far) plus the idea of all these new guys playing together did not help

The Knicks I'd be more concerned about just cause Chandler is the only real injury... Felton wasn't doing much anyway... Andrea has actually exceeded expectations

Most of the east will be in full tank mode in 2014 while the Knicks and Nets will be desperate to salvage this season, that alone should lead to a lot of wins

why are yall still holding out hope? they're not gonna be better AFTER sixth months of people getting more hurt.

the best yall can hope for is "oh they played SO WELL. see that dude has heart." on their way to losing to a better team in the first or second round.

that's not what the fan clubs were crowing about before the season.

it doesn't matter with salaries that big if they're lottery teams or 8th seeds. shit they'd be better off as lottery teams.
