all the lil guys pay homage to Zeke and admit they patterned their games after him. from his contemporaries like tim hardaway, stockton, and KJ to the generation that followed with Damon, AI, Nash to the current king CP3...and now the young prince....

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1826006-kyrie-irving-opens-up-on-all-time-starting-5-cavs-culture-and-toughest-matchup

B/R: Who’s in your all-time starting five?

KI: Michael Jordan, Big O, Wilt Chamberlain, Isiah Thomas and Bill Russell.

B/R: You know, you’re one of the first guys to put Isiah Thomas in there. Is that a guy you’ve modeled any of your game after?

KI: Yeah, and like I said, we all have our biases and our favorite guys of all time. That’s how it all goes. We could argue Magic or other point guards, but Isiah, for me, is in my starting five.

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

On the Lebertard & Papi show

Didn't know that he had Isiah on stage when he got inducted
into the Hall of Fame

Said that Isiah completely changed how he looked at basketball,
was better than anything he'd ever seen (played against him
in high school)

Stockton is the one who's spot was most deserving to Zeke, other than Laettner.

You can make an argument for either ebing the better player that season. People forget how close Ewing and Olajuwan were for most of their careers.

That's not no generic "_____ was great, I'm a fan"

That's something else

Newfound respect for Isiah, obviously, but even more for
Stockton...how humble and respectful can you possibly be?

yeah I begrudgingly respected Stockton when he was playing but I've actually started admiring him since his HOF induction, seems like a real genuine guy.

nobody from the city will disagree with this.

wade has too many bitchmade tendencies to be claimed as the goat, imo. zeke epitomized the blue collar work ethic. he carried that angry chicago disposition with him throughout his career (rose also has this disposition).

wade cries and plays for a city where people wear white pants on the daily.

also Michael Jordan might not admit however Zeke inspired him as well.

Zeke had that reckless and go for the throat mind set. I know Iverson got something off of him.

Zeke was one of my favorites back in the day and I have him in my 11-25 Greatest ever ranking

No doubt, those Piston teams helped mold Mike AND Scottie into the players they became
