I give them tons of credit for actually charting every play and assigning grades, but the writers have agendas when handing out those numbers. they've even kept on with the "Richardson elusiveness rating" as he's struggled in Indy. meanwhile, if Erik Walden does anything decent, they refuse to acknowledge it because they called him the worst FA signing of the off-season according to their "grades".

no glimpses of big play ability and elusiveness, then chances are you won't ever be a star back. It's usually only the lighter, shifty backs (Robert Smith, Tiki Barber, Reggie Bush) that take time to develop. And you can't blame this on his O-Line bc plenty of backs have excelled under the same circumstances. He could still have a decent career, I just can't imagine he will ever be the pro bowl caliber back many people thought he'd be.

I thought it was just a product of the Factory of Sadness. Dude IS a factory of sadness. I watched the whole game last night and he's very not good. Brown was shining on him. They would barely even call run plays for Trent because he couldn't hit the hole. Instead, they were calling mad short passes to try to put the battery in his back. Brown came in like "let a live half-back handle that".

INDIANAPOLIS -- Colts running back Trent Richardson has gone from being the biggest trade acquisition during the season to the backup.
Trent Richardson, who has yet to have success running the ball as a member of the Colts, has been demoted to second string, a source confirmed.
Richardson is being replaced in the starting lineup by Donald Brown for Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans, a source confirmed.
Richardson, who the Colts acquired from the Cleveland Browns for a first-round pick in September, had been expected to be one of the team's cornerstones with quarterback Andrew Luck.
But Richardson, the No. 3 pick in the 2012 draft, has struggled, averaging 2.9 yards a carry and having yet to rush for more than 60 yards in a game this season.
The Colts are trying to jump start an offense that has been outscored 93-12 in the first half of the past four games.
Brown opened the season as the third-string running back but he's been the team's most consistent back this season. He had 80 yards and two touchdowns against the Titans on Nov. 14.
