the one thing he had was athleticism

http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/9732483/minnesota-timberwolves-chase-budinger-knee-injury

MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Timberwolves watched last season get derailed by a slew of significant injuries to key players. This season isn't getting off to a better start.

Swingman Chase Budinger will be out indefinitely after experiencing some discomfort and swelling in his left knee that will require surgery to remedy, the Timberwolves announced Friday. Budinger's loss comes three days before the Wolves are set to open training camp.

Even after playing in only 23 games last season because of a torn meniscus in his left knee, the Timberwolves made re-signing Budinger a priority this summer. Coach Rick Adelman loves Budinger's versatility, ability to move without the ball and perimeter shooting, three things that were severely lacking during last year's injury-plagued run. Budinger, Kevin Love, J.J. Barea, Nikola Pekovic, Andrei Kirilenko and several others missed extended time last season because of injuries, contributing to the Wolves extending the longest active playoff drought in the league to nine years.

Budinger went down early in the sixth game of last season and didn't return until the end of March. But the Wolves knocked on Budinger's door in the first hours the free agent market opened and signed him to a three-year, $15 million deal. Saunders said Budinger had a clean bill of health at the time and only recently started to experience some issues.

"From Chase's perspective and ours, it hurts a little bit," Saunders said. "But it's opportunity for other players."

Budinger will visit Dr. James Andrews on Monday. Saunders said he will have arthroscopic surgery to assess the extent of the damage and the team will know more about how long Budinger will be out after that procedure. Budinger also may visit Dr. Richard Steadman, who performed the surgery to repair point guard Ricky Rubio's torn ACL.

The injury opens the door for Derrick Williams, the No. 2 overall draft pick three years ago. After playing mostly power forward last year in place of Love, Williams went through rigorous workouts this summer to drop about 20 pounds and help him become quicker and more agile to play small forward. The team also signed veteran Corey Brewer and drafted Shabazz Muhammad from UCLA, so Saunders remains confident that they have enough depth to overcome the loss.

"It doesn't really change what we do, what our goals are and where we go as a team," Saunders said.

One of Saunders' big priorities when he was hired to replace David Kahn was to address the team's medical staff in hopes of helping the team better deal with injuries. He hired Koichi Sato as the team's director of sports performance and Mark Kyger as director of athletic therapy to work under head athletic trainer Gregg Farnam and bring a new perspective on strength training and physical therapy.

Saunders said that when news of Budinger's injury spread through Timberwolves headquarters, he heard several people say, "Here we go again."

But he said the Wolves are deeper and better equipped to withstand Budinger's loss. Now it's time for the players to prove him right.

"Everything is different," Saunders said. "Every year is different."

Dude must want to KILL Beverley...never missed a game until that run in with him

http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nba/thunder/2013/09/25/russell-westbrook-knee-injury-return-surgery-oklahoma-city-sam-presti/2874483/

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The timetable for All-Star point guard Russell Westbrook's return from a knee injury remains uncertain as the Oklahoma City Thunder open training camp.

General manager Sam Presti said Wednesday during his annual state of the franchise news conference that it would be "irresponsible" of him to say when Westbrook would be fully cleared medically, but he didn't dispute that Westbrook could miss the season opener Oct. 30 at the Utah Jazz.

"I wouldn't say that he will be (ready) and I wouldn't say that he won't be," Presti said. "We've got to see how the next month goes."

DURANT: His Harden praise angered D-Wade

THUNDER: Released guard faces felony charges

Westbrook tore the lateral meniscus in his right knee when Houston Rockets guard Patrick Beverley banged knees with him while Westbrook stopped to call a timeout during Game 2 of the first-round NBA playoff series. Westbrook had surgery April 27.

"He's on pace, to this point, in the recovery process, but we're not going to put a specific timetable on his return, simply because it's just too big of a decision," Presti said. "His health is most important, not just for this season, but for many years to come. He's done an excellent job in showing unbelievable discipline and rigor through the process. We expect him to come back at full strength, but he's got to finish the rest of the benchmarks."

Westbrook has had no unexpected setbacks while rehabilitating the knee, Presti said.

"When you're dealing with rehabilitation, it's a day-by-day thing, because you're constantly retraining the body to do things that it has not done for a while," Presti said.

WHAT'S NEXT? Predicting the Thunder's future is very tricky

HILARIOUS: Thunder guard was Wal-Mart model as a child

Westbrook told The Oklahoman this week he is anxious to return and promised that, "I'm going to come back and be better." During the 2012-13 regular season, the three-time All-Star averaged 23.2 points (sixth in the NBA), 7.4 assists (seventh), a career-high 5.2 rebounds and 1.8 steals (ninth).

Westbrook expressed optimism that he'll be able to quickly return to form, although Presti cautioned that it might take a while.

"Once he gets back on the court ... there's going to be a period of adjustment," Presti said. "Any time someone goes through a rehabilitation process, it's not just a physical thing, but also a skill thing. So there will be some time for him to adjust. The team understands that. The organization understands that. Russell understands that.

"But it falls in line with a lot of what we're about as an organization, which is, we want to get better on a daily basis. We want to be in a position where we're playing our best basketball at the end of the season. We're focused on building those habits early on."

And So It Begins
James Harden sets the tone as Rockets open training camp

Jason Friedman
Rockets.com

HOUSTON - If any ambiguity remained regarding the Rockets’ dreams and ambitions heading into the 2013-14 season, it was summarily laid to rest when the team’s players and coaches opened training camp with a huddle and a simultaneous shout of, ‘One, two, three – championship!” This club is not bashful about its title aspirations and it took what it hopes will be the first step toward the Promised Land Saturday morning with a fast-paced, nearly two-and-a-half hour practice session featuring a heavy emphasis on the defensive end of the floor.

The road to downtown parades requires a total team effort of course, but its best players ultimately must be the ones paving the way. To that end, it was only fitting to see James Harden on the court at 8:30 AM – a full 90 minutes before practice was set to begin – launching one shot after another to a repetitive, hypnotic soundtrack featuring little but the sound of sneakers squeaking and the ball thwack-ing it’s way through the net. The intended message, however, reverberated throughout the Rockets’ locker room: the serious business of winning demands a business model based upon a blue-collar work rate – a point Houston’s All-Star shooting guard made throughout the summer and one he continued to hammer home while going full speed through every practice drill and with his persistent petitions imploring his teammates to do the same.

“I’m just trying to set a tone,” Harden said afterward, “set a tempo for the younger guys and even the veterans on what we need to do to be good this year.”

Harden’s new superstar running mate wasted no time echoing the importance of establishing that industrious attitude and work ethic right out of the gate.

“ ran the floor hard and pushed himself to the limit and as a leader that’s what you have to do,” said Dwight Howard. “Me and him, we’re on the same page and we understand what we have to do as leaders of this team. We’re going to push everybody to the limit.

“Right now we can’t think about being comfortable. We’ve got to think about how hard we can push each other to get better. That’s going to be the key. We don’t have time to be comfortable. When we start playing, teams are going to be at our neck and that’s what we have to do every day at practice: we have to be at each other’s neck to push each other and make each other better.”

The area in which the Rockets can make the biggest strides – at least based on the results from a year ago – is on the defensive end of course, which explains the heavy emphasis on that side of the ball during the team’s morning workout session (Houston’s players will practice again Saturday night). Head Coach Kevin McHale and his crew put their troops through a crash course in the art of close-outs, deflections, communication, transition and pick-and-roll D, all in an effort to lay the initial foundation for what they hope will be a top-10 caliber defense this season.

“It was all about defense today and teaching everybody the principles and the coverages and things like that,” said Chandler Parsons. “That’s the mindset that we’ve got to come into every single night with, being prepared to win games when we’re not shooting the ball and scoring. Definitely defense is going to be a priority this year.

Added Jeremy Lin: “We want to make sure the guards fight over the screens a lot more and I think there’s going to be a lot of support from the lower end so our bigs might not chase out as high up because they’re primarily big-time rebounders and shot blockers. They’re going to try to stay in between the ball-handler and the rim at all times.”

Of course, schemes and strategies are only as successful as the amount of buy-in they receive from the players charged with their implementation and execution. The proof within that particular pudding won’t reveal itself for a while yet. Today was but the first of many steps that must be taken. The biggest takeaway thus far: Houston's best players are saying, and more importantly doing all the right things in their early efforts to lead this team on the way to the destination of its dreams.

14. "Love to the High Post. Granger full practice, Bobcats culture change"
In response to Reply # 0

Kevin Love - F/C - Timberwolves
Rick Adelman has tweaked the Wolves' offense to emphasize Kevin Love's high-post passing ability, according to beat writer Jerry Zgoda.
Flip Saunders said that Love will be more of a "facilitator" this season, and any plan that gets the ball in Love's hands will be good news for fantasy owners. Love now weighs below 240 pounds and is in "phenomenal" condition after an injury-plagued 2012-13 campaign.

Kemba Walker led well-attended voluntary workouts with the Bobcats, and he said the team knows basics of Steve Clifford's system.
Al Jefferson was an early and vocal participant at the workouts, which he described as unique in his nine NBA seasons. "We're trying to change the culture around here," Walker said. "I’ve been losing for two years now. I'm sick of it." The Bobcats finished 21-61 last season despite a career year from Walker, who averaged 17.7 points on 42.3 percent shooting, with 1.3 three-pointers, 3.5 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 2.0 steals per game.

Danny Granger (knee) put in a full practice with the Pacers on Saturday.
"For me, it went honestly better than I expected," Granger said. "I went through the whole practice. I did all the sprints. I played the whole time. I didn’t have to sit out or anything so I definitely can feel coming back." The training staff has a workload monitor on Granger to make sure they don't overdo it. He looks to be ready to start the season, but the team may ease him back into action. He'll carry some risk in the second half of fantasy drafts.

oh and Jimmy Butler

Head coach Tom Thibodeau said that Jimmy Butler is "in a different place" and the team is going to "take advantage of what he does well."
"Jimmy has changed," Thibodeau said. "He's in a different place, and I think there are some different things we can change to take advantage of what he does well." It sounds like Butler is looking to build off his huge finish to last season. In April, he averaged 14.6 points, 6.6 boards, 1.7 steals and 1.4 triples in 10 games. Jimmy is going to start at shooting guard and is someone we're targeting in the middle rounds.

In response to Reply # 0

>2-3-2 Finals format likely out in 2014
Updated: September 29, 2013, 6:02 PM ET
By Brian Windhorst | ESPN.com

The NBA is expected to make a major change to its traditional Finals schedule, ending the 2-3-2 format and returning to the 2-2-1-1-1 game rotation used in all other playoff rounds, multiple sources told ESPN.com.

The league's competition committee has voted to recommend the change to the league's board of directors. It is expected to be adopted at the next meeting in October and could be implemented for the 2014 Finals, the sources said.

The Boston Herald earlier reported the recommendation on Sunday.

The league has used the 2-3-2 format in the Finals since 1985, when long commercial travel in frequent Finals between the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers had become tedious. All teams now fly their own charters, and the travel is easier.

Proponents of the change have believed the current 2-3-2 format dulls some of the homecourt advantage to the higher seed. The Miami Heat won Games 6 and 7 at home to claim the Finals in June, but they were just the fourth team in 29 years to accomplish that feat.

Also, with the lower seed getting Game 6 on its home floor, it increases the likelihood that a series will go to seven games, which is traditionally in the business interests of the league and its television partners. The NBA Finals are televised by ABC.

LOL Friedman tried sop hard to fit that breaking bad reference in. thats why you're a beat writer dude.

Chemistry Lesson
Rockets hard at work to turn title-contending potential into tangible results

Jason Friedman
Rockets.com

HOUSTON - There are dozens, if not hundreds, of things that go into the construction and actualization of a championship-caliber sports team. Talent, to be sure, is one such component. Sound in-game strategy and overall stewardship are others. Not to be overlooked, of course, is the amorphous but nevertheless oft-discussed and forever scrutinized subject of chemistry. We may not know what it is but we sure as heck know it when we see it – at least that’s what millions of sports fans, radio callers, columnists and armchair analysts convince themselves of every day.

By definition, chemistry is the investigation of the properties of matter and the ways in which they interact, combine and change. From a sports standpoint, the hoped-for chemical reaction is achieved when a team of individuals seamlessly and harmoniously mesh in such a way that the result leaves observers awestruck by the potency of the newfound power unleashed. When the experiment goes wrong, however, viewers are far more likely to end up feeling less like Louis Pasteur and more like Beaker
Inserted by url2image extension
.

So perhaps it is only fitting that on an evening when millions of viewers wait in breathless anticipation for the epic finale of Breaking Bad – a show that is at its very core about chemistry and its wide-reaching ramifications – we come now to the case of the Houston Rockets and their own search for the sort of special spark that can launch the club into the NBA’s stratosphere. Fortunately for Rockets fans, there’s no fear of Walter White relocating to Houston (note: that’s just a guess – not a spoiler) and wreaking his own outlandishly destructive brand of havoc here. What there is, however, is a collection of supremely talented players that still must prove they can collectively harness their individual talents in a way that allows the team to transform theorized potential into tangible, positive results.

Rockets Head Coach Kevin McHale knows a thing or two about this subject from his playing days that produced some of the finest team basketball ever witnessed when he shared the floor in Boston with fellow Hall of Famers Larry Bird, Robert Parish and Dennis Johnson. His belief: True on-court chemistry is much more a matter of natural fit than friendship.

“We stepped on the court and our games complemented each other, and if we didn’t say a word to each other, it (still) fit,” said McHale, recalling his title-winning days with the Celtics. “Two guys can get along great, they can be best friends, they can have dinner every single night and still not be able to play together – that doesn’t make any difference. It’s how they play together and that’s really honestly what it is.

“You can’t force chemistry. This isn’t Match.com. (Our players) are going to have to go out there and find chemistry. There’s no guaranteeing anything. Until you’ve done it, there’s no guaranteeing you will do it.

“The best thing is that, when it really happens naturally, is when you play with guys where your skill level complements them and their strength complements your weakness, and it just flows. The stuff they can’t do, you do very well. And the stuff you can’t do, they do very well. And you go out and play and it fits.”

The kind of fit described by McHale is precisely what prompted the Rockets to make Dwight Howard their No. 1 offseason target. Pairing the game’s preeminent pick-and-roll roll man with screen-and-roll studs like James Harden and Jeremy Lin was a no-brainer. Ditto for the club’s dedication to filling out the rest of the roster with a bevy of long-range marksmen. It all sounds so good in theory. And in these early, early days of morphing that theory into results, the Rockets are already starting to see positive signs.

“We’ve run a couple pick-and-rolls while playing five-on-five,” said Jeremy Lin following Sunday’s practice session. “You can just tell the defense doesn’t know what to do because you might have Dwight rolling, and then you have Chandler in the corner who is a great shooter, and you have to choose between the two. And if you don’t stop the ball then me or James is going to come down the lane and make a play.”

Much more work remains to be done on this front – and many others – of course. For example, Lin also noted that he and the rest of the Rockets’ playmakers must do a better job of getting Howard the ball more quickly when he has his man sealed, and that Howard is still trying to get a good feel for the fact that Houston’s willing passers are capable of delivering the ball to him anytime and from anywhere. It will take months, if not more, before anything truly definitive can be said of this experiment. The Miami Heat’s Big Three – now two-time defending champions – kicked off their inaugural season together by starting the campaign 9-8. Instant chemistry is nice and all, but the kind the Rockets are after is the sort that peaks in the spring and summer – not the fall.

All that having been said, when a legend like Hakeem Olajuwon, himself no stranger to the significance of hoops alchemy, says he likes what he’s seeing from Houston’s newest dynamic duo, it most definitely demands one’s attention.

“What I can see, the chemistry is wonderful,” he said when asked for his early observations from watching Howard and Harden work together. “I really wouldn’t call it sacrifice because it’s complementary. You need each other. James was telling me that last year sometimes he was so tired. Now, it’s sharing the burden so it’s much easier for him. When you bring a superstar to the team, it’s welcome because it makes your job much easier. It’s not taking anything away; it’s adding … so that you can achieve more with less effort. It’s a one-two punch that’s wonderful.”

24. "Jeremy Lin's new stroke (video), II"

http://blog.chron.com/ultimaterockets/2013/10/jeremy-lin-working-on-a-smoother-3-point-shot/

As Jeremy Lin launched his post-practice 3-pointers, circling the arc with Chandler Parsons and Donatas Motiejunas, there was a marked lack of lift on his jump shot. The change was not the result of tired legs after four days and six practices of training camp, though he said there was plenty of that, too.

Lin spent much of his offseason tweaking his shot to a more natural shooting motion. That has meant a more relaxed release that incorporates the lift from his legs, rather than beginning much of his shooting motion at the top of his jump.

“It’s smoother,” Lin said. “It was a conscious decision. We worked on it in the offseason to make it more natural. I rely on my shooting coach a lot. This is an evolution of it. You can’t do too much change at one time.”

short interview on his fansite with his shooting coach

Doc Scheppler Interview
Hi Doc, thanks for joining us again here at JeremyLin.Net. With camp just starting, we're excited for this coming season and hoping you can give us a little insight into JLin's summer work. Also, for those if you who may not know, Doc Scheppler has won 5 State HS Championships in the State of California. No small feat, and one off the all time California record. He has also sent a plethora of kids to play college ball. Incredible for a tiny Division 5 school on the Peninsula.

JeremyLin.Net:
How does Jeremy look physically compared to the previous summers working with him?

Doc:
He is 100% healthy and had a consistent summer of skill and strength development. We only worked 2x a week.

JeremyLin.Net:
What's been your major focus this summer with Jeremy?

Doc:
We worked to smooth out his rhythm and to really concentrate on catch and shoot situations... specifically the corner 3. We continued to work on different shooting situations to keep them tuned, and, they look perfect. He's able to shoot just as well in those situations. I'd like to see him bring those out of his bag a bit more...(Triple Threat, off-dribble,specifically). He has those shots in game situations.

JeremyLin.Net:
Many people think you can change a shooter over night. Can you remind everyone what Jeremy's shot looked like just a few years ago?

Doc:
He had a very rhythmical shot as junior high player, and, was a great shooter. He changed his shot to a higher release and an explosive jump upon entering high school. This is a common fault with younger players when they want to shoot a "Jump shot". So many problems arise from this transition. Their mindset is a jump shot is" jump as high as I can and start my release at the peak." His became an upper body throw that was inconsistent and an angry ball when hitting the rim. He gradually smoothed out his rhythm, but, never found the consistency necessary to be a great shooter. We refined his release, rhythm, and balance. Now, after 2 years he continues to feel more comfortable in his shooting form. My wish for him is to trust his form and let it fly. Be aware of form, but don't obsess.

JeremyLin.Net:
How long does it usually take to really be able to change your form to the extent that he has had to?

Doc:
That I don't know. I do know that the better your form and the more you practice...the better shooter will develop. Shooters have those 2 things in common... Their form is solid.... and they shoot every day.

JeremyLin.Net:
What type of percentages are you expecting from Jeremy this season?

Doc:
I hope he gets off to a great start with his 3 point shooting. He should get a lot of good, clean catch and shoot looks with the addition of Howard as a presence inside. There's no reason why he can't start to shrink the difference in his drill percentages to a game shooting percentage. He's a consistent mid 70's in drills, which should correspond to a higher game percentage. I'm thinking low 40's(3pt%). His free throw percentage should be in the mid 80's.

JeremyLin.Net:
Anything else you'd like to share with us about working with JLin this summer?

Doc:
I know he's ready to roll and excited for the season

JeremyLin.Net:
Thanks for all of your work with these kids on the Peninsula and for all you do with Jeremy.

Doc:
Thank you. I expect big things from him this year.

Michael Beasley - F - Heat
Michael Beasley punched himself in the head so hard on Thursday that he needed treatment.
Well, so much for an uneventful evening for Beasley. He played nine minutes in his preseason debut this year and didn't do anything noteworthy until doing something silly like this. He's off the radar in fantasy leagues

tomorrow lol.

Houston Rockets ✔ @HoustonRockets
RT @Jonathan_Feigen: Omer Asik and Dwight Howard starting together tomorrow vs. Mavs. Lin starting at point.
1:53 PM - 20 Oct 2013

I think itll be useful against some teams. But I do really think Omer's value will be coming off the bench. Dwight has changed so much for the team defensively - theres an obvious contrast (even in preseason) when hes out. Asik has been hurt all those games - so id love to see him play with Dwight. I think they cna even play together, but with Asik coming off the bench.

especially vs a stretch 4 like Dirk. I LOVE Omer coming off the bench.
Id use the Omer/Dwight lineup vs a team with a really bad 4 or 5 where you can float one of the guys.

Not a bad game overall. Sloppy - but we showed our potential again.

In response to Reply # 49

and if I'm not mistaken the real move away from the Mavs as far as the score is concerned is when both benches checked in. Asik and Dwight were definitely clogging the hell out of the paint on O and the pick + roll seemed to get lost a bit since neither player is all that great as a screener on PnRs.

I was honestly wondering if Houston was really laying off implementing their whole offense in the preseason, but then again by all reports Houston just runs the most basic PnRs and that's about it, right?

but yeah -- my main takeaway is that Calderon, Monta, and Dirk will be able to win some games and hopefully a smart coach like Rick Carlisle can finally transform Dalembert into the defender he should be.

Houston had the lead by half and only lost it for a few seconds in the 3rd.
But thats gonna be the mavs problem all year 00is their lack of depth -- especially at the big spots.

I agree that the pnrs were lost a bit with both guys clogging the paint - at the same time this wa stheir 1st time playing together all preseason. Its not the lineup id use every game. Against a team like the grizz, I might do it.

The 3 guard and small lineup looks good.

What houston really needs to work on is post entry passes. They look horrible at those. The offense overall looks great. Were playing drive and kick - and our shooters are on fire.

Dallas will be a playoff team if they stay healthy.

if the Wolves have any kind of success this year, I'mma point at Rubio for being the man.

Rubio's scoring game is as limited as it gets, but his ball handling, passing, and court vision are so great it makes everyone on the floor with him better and overcomes his busted shot. I'm really hoping for a healthy 82 games from Rubio.

people really sleeping on the depth of this team...

2nd Team is

Livingston (who's having a great camp)
Terry
AK47
Reggie Evans or Teletovic
Blatche or Plumlee

Plus Alan Anderson was good as a gunner off the bench in Toronto last year and has 20 points in him when given minutes

Like watching Plumlee a lot... Nets may just put him in sometimes to get the crowd going as he tries to dunk everytime

It works for you guys and memphis cause you guys have two bigs. I really think our 2nd unit nets a def anchor. It kind of works anyway because Omer gets subbed out quick- and still can at with unit 2. I wonder how much of it is playing him to showcase him.

Tjones has actually been out the last two with a shoulder issue. Disappointed motiejunas isn't getting more time with jones out. That does tell me that jones may be it the rotation too.

It's been hard because casspi and Garcia are playing so well-- sot hat allows casspi to play 4 and then at times Garcia at 3 and parsons at 4. Ultimately we will need one of the young guys I think.

I love the flexibility our team has to go big/small and still push pace.

How McHale is going to deal w/ the spacing issue for the PnR if Omer is going to get major playing time along side Dwight? Beard is having to work so much to breakdown the defense I'm not sure if he can do this over an 81 game schedule since stamina has never been his forte. Beverley isn't a PnR guard & Lin is well.....Lin.

His footwork isnt good and he's lost athleticism - but you can still see how dominant he can be. We really dont need him to score. He may get pissy and want the ball more-- but I think if we get off to a nice start he'll be fine. Winning cures all. Now if we struggle out the gate- thats a different issue. The start to our season is critical because of how good our chemistry is now.

Omer will play with Dwight - im thinking 12 minutes max. Youre right - with both those guys we dont run as many pick n rolls. There was some crisp interior passing last night (that Omer fumbled).

Once Casspi comes in the floor instantly spreads.
Beard isnt having to work that hard at all. Did you see that 3rd qtr? That came so easy for him- and it wasnt a lot of crashing his body into guys.

Like I said, I love the flexibility we have.

Theres been rumblings but I wonder how amenable McHale is to playing different starting lineups based on matchups (namely at the 4 and 1) Im intrigued by this. I think it can work, again if we can come out the gate strong--guys will settle into their roles. If not then it could cause bickering. Its unheard of - but im interested.

In response to Reply # 69

they'll probably need a couple of months of on court time to get totally comfortable

but I don't think there's alot of teams that can defend both guys in a PnR

I expect it to be unstoppable by Christmas

but the real issue is the guards not being able to penetrate with the twin towers clogging the lane

obviously Parsons can camp out at the 3Pt line

but they don't really have a spot up guard

Beverley and Lin don't really work with the twin tower lineup and the offense relying heavily on PnRs with Harden/D12

they need a Ray Allen/DFish type of guard that can hit 3s and isn't really looking to drive to the rim

I always find it humorous that people are so critical of D12 on offense

dude put up 17PPG last year, playing his way back into shape

and lead the league in RPG

= who gives a fuck?

They have a good starting 5 and this year they actually have some bench instead of none. They should be in the playoff hunt if they can stay healthy.

Supposedly it's just a contusion- but he's going for an MRI.

Man that could change the season.

Dwight stepped in to get Beverley's back after mark gasol threw him down.
