"Kidd Buying Jigga's Nets Shares and Odom's Alleged dealer speaks"

and other nba tidbits.

Report: Jason Kidd to buy Jay Z's Nets shares
Jason Kidd is reportedly buying half of Jay Z's minority ownership shares in the Brooklyn Nets, at a cost of $500,000.
Jay Z sold the rest of his shares to another current Nets owner, thus freeing himself to represent pro athletes as an agent with his newly-minted Roc Nation Sports agency. The sale will make the headlines but it won't cause any real changes in the Nets' ownership structure, as Jay Z owned a mere 0.161 percent of the team.

Report: Man claims Odom spent $50K on cocaine
Lamar Odom's alleged drug dealer told Radaronline.com that Odom spent $50,000 on cocaine over the last three years, and even smoked the drug before a game against the Knicks on Feb. 10.
The story was subsequently picked up and run by NESN on the heels of Odom's DUI arrest on Friday. He's hired Robert Shapiro to represent him, and while it's impossible to know if the newest allegations are true (especially considering the source), it's clear that Odom's NBA career is in jeopardy. "I know it for a fact because I sold him the stuff and saw him smoke it," the unnamed, alleged dealer said. "He spent about 16 grand." With the Lakers signing Shawne Williams and the Clippers picking up Antawn Jamison, we'd be very surprised to see Odom in an NBA jersey this season.

TMZ rumor: Royce White investigated for abuse
Royce White is allegedly "at the center of a criminal investigation" on suspicion of domestic abuse, according to the celebrity-rumor site TMZ.com.
White's ex-girlfriend, Tania Mehra, reportedly filed a police report in August alleging that White assaulted her on June 22, causing a laceration over her right eye. According to an unnamed police officer, "The victim said she had lied because the suspect played for the NBA and did not want the incident to damage his career." This TMZ report has yet to be verified by other sources, but it doesn't bode well for White or his future in the NBA.

Suns officially waive Michael Beasley
Suns waive F Michael Beasley.
As part of the deal, Beasley will give up $2 million in otherwise guaranteed salary for the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons. He's coming off a career-worst season in which he shot under 41 percent from the field, and his off-court behavioral issues will make teams wary of giving him guaranteed money. With Beasley gone, P.J. Tucker and Gerald Green are the Suns' best options at SF, with the Morris brothers capable of picking up slack.

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

where "culture" matters (and those quotes are tongue in cheek)
most bad teams are bad for a reason in prep for a rebuild. can't make your fans sit through a lost season AND deal w/ This Nigga Beas either.

he needs to be somewhere where there's someone who'll literally fracture a bone in his face if he acts up. And he knows it.

but beas probably figuring buyout money buys a lotta trees n hoes, so he'll end up in the DR

I mean dude has a nasty habit and some grimy friends I imagine, but he ain't seeing Richard Pryor yet.

You do the math, at $100 a day (which is not much to a real deal cokehead), that's $36.5K a year. 50K over three years? If he was super serious, he musta had some more dealers.

And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

this dude who managed my apartment building in colombia once threw out my neighbor's coke by accident when he was cleaning the guy's place. he went and replaced it for him within a half hour. every day he would bring the guy some blow. 8 mil pesos, 12 mil pesos, 6 mil pesos, whatever. it was like a cocaine-of-the-day club.

one day he knocks on the guy's door at like 10 at night. i dunno if the dude was sleeping or fucking or what, but it took him a long time to answer. the guy says "here ya go, 10 mil pesos."

my neighbor says to him, "dude, i still have the last four or five bags you brought me."

dude replies, "i don't get it. how do you save it like that? i get it, i snort it and then it's gone."

"well, i'm getting a little older now man, i just turned 30, i can't be doing this shit every day."

"no, you're young, how old are you?"

"30, man, i said just that."

"aw, that's nothing. how old do you think i am?"

"i dunno, um, 36 or 38?"

"i'm 26! we're still kids!!!!!!"

And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

I really wanna know what level of money Marvin Gaye was spending or ingesting compliments of the label or his Hollywood friends because Marvin (true professional soul legend that he is) so far is the only coke-addict that I ever heard of who never actually snorted coke.

He thought snorting it would affect his nodules & singing voice.

So instead in a far less efficient manner/method he just ate it, eight-balls & half-ounces at a time, jaw/mouth probably in a perpetual state of being ready for an out-patient dental procedure.

Bet at those Studio 54-styled late-70's parties people had a code or a signal to hide the shit when he was about to enter a room.

'Ah shit man, here comes Marv, you know he just gonna eat up all our coke again...sick of that shit!'.

Grabbing the baggies of roadies & turning 'em upside down like he was polishing off a Fun Dip pouch while the rest of the team players sat around with their straws looking at each other like 'what we gonna say? He's Marvin fuckin Gaye'.

Yeah that seems like it would be hell on your mouth and throat. I heard the same thing about Marv but didn't know it was a fact. He was one of the few Motown cats my mom never really got to know, she met him a couple times and said he was very shy but charming (of course). He was going through it at that time, most of the time she was involved with any Motown Films stuff he was in Europe.

LMAO, this needs to be made into an animated short like last month.

that might cover Cru Thik's weed fund for a season.

LOL @ Los Angeles, only place in the world where an illegal-narcotics-salesman will snitch on himself in order to get a TMZ taste of a inconsequential basketball player married into a reality-show family.

"I know it for a fact because I sold him the stuff and saw him smoke it," the unnamed, alleged dealer said. "He spent about 16 grand."

Like the reporter has immunity not to testify against you if you get caught up. Granted it'd be a weak case but still...how you gonna go media pub your clients. Other clients are gonna be like "nope, you be snitching!"

lol

But then again 'cocaine is a helluva drug' (c) Dave Chappelle via Rick James.

0.161%? Just $1 million?

I'm about to buy one share of Google and start telling people I own the company.

2) his ownership was mutually beneficial. Pokie put him on billboards for a reason.
C) he was still an owner
C1) nets arent publicly traded

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

Morey ultimately made the decision but I don't think he wanted him:

Around 3:50:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRUS6QBiViQ

"If McHale can pull this off, Houston's a question mark at 18. The rest of the room is against you, ok? The rest of the room other than McHale says you're too risky."

edit: Of course, he went at 16, not 18. Maybe Houston wanted Henson (14) or Harkless (15) and said fuck it and threw coach a bone?

It ultimately falls on the GM, but if he did coach a favor, then McHale's a dummy

I'm not believing for a second that's on McHale alone.

Those stat-formulizing cats broke out the risk/reward ratio of him in the back half of the first & decided it was worth a shot, then when it failed Hinkie had the same logic when he got him for nothing in Philly.

The reality is this dude has got issues coming out of his issues & is never gonna make it in this league.

Maybe the Sixers will now promote banished-methhead-former-Bruin Sleeves Nelson from the Delaware 87'ers up to the big time.

and morey made them take royce in order to make that happen

Let another GM have signed him and he would've gotten roasted
I'm not for or against analytics in any way, but I think that cats look at Morey and think his moves are flawless because he uses them.

Like Bomb said, Hinkie gets him too based on a similar thought process so it most likely wasn't JUST McHale.
