"PG Warz - Regular Season Finale: Pain and Gain"

First off Boston fans your boy Ronda missed more than half the season so he's disqualified, ditto for Rosé who didn't play at all.

Without further ado, let's go...

1. Top 5 Tony - gotta give him his props, he's balled out all season and kept the Spurs at or near to top of the West most of the season. Despite a lot of hype for a resurgent Elmo this has pretty much been Parker's team since the 07 Finals.

2. CP3 - he did his thing again despite playing slight fewer minutes because of the depth the Clippers have at guard. He needs to get past the 2nd round before there's anymore #1 talk, Memphis will be a tough out for them in the first round.

3. Russy - sure he can be wild and reckless and make questionable decisions at times but this dude is still a MONSTER that does it ALL and hasn't even reached his prime. Another impressive factor about him that doesn't get talked about enough is his durability. Despite his aggressive style of play he has NEVER missed a game in his NBA career.

4. Deron BETTER after the AS break - he caught a lot of heat for his performance in the first half of the season and rightly so, but in the second half he was as good as anybody and flat out dominant at times. Hopefully his momentum will carry over into the postseason.

5. Young Spice - Curry made a big leap this year and really came into his own, he's always been able to shoot but it looks like Mark Jackson is honing his PG skills as well, it will be interesting to see Curry match up with Ty Lawson in the first round.

are named Lebron, Wade and Durant, and Parker still managed to average almost 8apg playing just under 33mpg.

I think there is clear separation between the 5 I listed and the rest of the league, 6-10 gets kinda muddled between guys on the come up, guys on the way down, and guys that are solid but are what they are and have pretty much hit their ceiling, I tend to favor guys that I think are on the come up and I'll tell you who I like...

- Kyrie - he has all the tools, still learning how to run an NBA team though, plus obviously he seems kind of injury prone, some of it may be flukish, maybe he just needs to get in gym and get physically stronger...

- Lillard - started all 82 as a rookie and his 38.6mpg was tied with Kobe for 2nd in the league. Averaged 19ppg on a respectable 43% shooting, his 3p & ft shooting were good also, averaged 6.5 assists, he'll only get better, hopefully they won't run him into the ground

- Jrue - I'd love to see him with some talent around him, too bad Bynum's knee's are shot...

- Wall - came on strong late, I can't wait to see him and Beal healthy in the backcourt together for an entire season

- Jeff Teague - quietly turned in a nice little efficient season down in the ATL, I'll be looking to see how he performs in the playoffs

6. Kyrie, obviously. Year 2, still learning some things, but the talent is blossoming. The trade for Ellington and Speights down the stretch helped the supporting cast some, and hopefully this draft will steady the ship further.

7. Conley Jr. REALLY turned it on the last month and a half. Stellar down the stretch, and his best basketball may still be ahead of him.

8. Wall. Dude can play. In April kinda shifted back to the Wall from last year some, but he played as well as any PG in March and gave his boys a boost. I thought they'd contend for the 8 seed this year-- next year I'd bet on it.

9. Lawson. Ugh. I was so excited to leave him off entirely, but then Rondo got hurt, and he started lighting it up the last three months or so. Can't be denied-- the better he plays, the better the Nuggets are.

10. Lillard. I would have put Holiday on here, but his productivity fell markedly after the break, so I'll roll with Lillard instead. Love the potential. Shot 45%, 40% from 3, after the break. If he can settle in and do that for a whole season, he'll climb this list a couple notches.

I dont think he's a guy that can single handedly take a game over and I could be wrong but I think he's at his ceiling and is pretty much is what he is which is a not spectacular but very solid pg but I don't see him as having the potential to ever crack the top 5.

For some reason I've never been a huge Lawson fan, he's very talented but I'm not sure if he's a guy that can lead a team to the promise land, he may be at his ceiling, he's kind of undersized, it will be interesting to see how his game develops when he's not necessarily the quickest guy on the floor.

... is because Rondo and Rose are coming back and Kyrie is more talented going forward. I think he's got another couple of years to keep getting better... but the best PGs are just so god damn good. Not his fault, really. At the top of his potential, I think he could make a play for the 5 spot. A play for it... not a lock.

Lawson definitely is a "won't carry the team" guy, but he's a strong leader and facilitator. He makes the Nuggets tick... but yeah, he's at his best a fringe top 10 guy. Again, not his fault, as he's exactly what the Nuggets need right now.

It's just such an insanely talented position at the top of the pile. Multiple hall of famers who are still near the top of their game. It's insane to think of how good Lillard is in year one and realize, despite how good he is, he's unlikely to be a serious Top 5 candidate.

-Top5 joined Larry Bird and Chris Paul as the only players in NBA history to average 20 points per game while shooting higher than 50 percent from the field and 35 percent from behind the arc all while averaging seven assists a game.

-He also led all guards in FG%.

WHAT'S GOOD *****? What's REALLY good?!?!????!!! Ha HA!

1.) Rondo - Was off to another stellar season, led the league in assists AGAIN with 11.1. None of them other clowns were in double digits.

2.) John Wall - Came back like Steve James saving Michael Dudikoff, and kicked doubters right in their faces. The jumper is looking better, he's calm, selectively attacking, and the passing was always there. Next up is becoming a dominant defender.

3.) Eric Bledsoe - started off the year like a gang buster. Then some bothersome injuries came. He should have a solid playoffs. He'll be better off when he gets his own squad.

4.) Marquis Teague - played sparingly. But when he played I liked what I saw. Maybe he gets some tick in the playoffs.

5.) Brandon Knight - He's still my dude, but pretty much didn't improve. Streaky shooter. Still has trouble running the team. Might be destined as a 3rd guard a la Jason Terry. His work ethic has me holding off going that route. Probably needs a solid 2 to play with.

3. Demarcus Cousins - Got some techs, got a lot of double doubles, dudes stay flopping against him. Still no worst than the 3rd best Center in the League probably 2nd since Bynum didn't play.
4. Anthony Davis - "These niggaz can't hold me back" (c) Rick Ross. And yes Monty, you can't hold him back either. Played great all year. Battled a few injuries, but when playing on a team with a star who plays twice a week, a chucker for a pg, and a coach who wants to focus the offense around a backup pf who chucks 3's, he faired well. Probably won't get ROY, but he's the best rookie in the class and he's setting himself up to be the best pf in the league.
5. Eric Bledsoe - started off the year like a gang buster. Then some bothersome injuries came. He should have a solid playoffs. He'll be better off when he gets his own squad.
6. Enes Kanter - continued to work hard. Board and score. His conditioning is up to par. I expect big things from Enes especially as they continue to move out Al Jeff, Paul Milsap, and Derrick Favors from in front of him. Maybe he can play along
7. Nazr Mohammed - Nasty Nazr. The vet. Stayed in great shape and delivered when called upon. Still a great worker.
8. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist - Nice rookie year for the kid. Still needs to work on his outside shot. Already a solid defender. And boards like a demon. Had some stat-sheet stuff Clark Kellogg type games. Plays with some of the worst guards I've ever seen in basketball in Kemba, Ramon, and Ben. I hope he's not tainted and continues to play the right way.
9. Patrick Patterson - started off nice. He was a part of something. Then got traded. And the Kings suck from top to bottom. Played well for them though. Even rebounded. He should beat out Jason Thompson next year.
10. Terrence Jones - The Rockets finally listened after letting inferior pfs eat and trading for inferior pfs when T-Jones was doing work in the D-League. He's just better. Miss me with all that. He's better than any power forward they had all year.
11. Brandon Knight - He's still my dude, but pretty much didn't improve. Streaky shooter. Still has trouble running the team. Might be destined as a 3rd guard a la Jason Terry. His work ethic has me holding off going that route. Probably needs a solid 2 to play with.
12. Tayshaun Prince - After 5 years, the "Free Tayshaun" campaign worked. He's in the playoffs, I'm not sure how much Tay Prizzle still has in the tank though especially offensively.
13. Jodie Meeks - Hit some threes. Doesn't do much else. Hey, it is what it is. Kobe knows his name though even called him Jodie "Buckets" or something rather. That nickname itself got him up a few spots.
14. Chuck Hayes - A hardworker on a team of misfits. Stay strong Chuck.
15. Keith Bogans - I've seen him hit a couple of corner threes. He's still in the rotations and they're in the playoffs.
16. Darius Miller - Had a stint in the D-League, kept working though. Has all of the talent to be a great pro, but just needs to believe in himself and stop being passive. Played strong at the end of the year.
17. Marquis Teague - played sparingly. But when he played I liked what I saw. Maybe he gets some tick in the playoffs.
18. DeAndre Liggins - had a couple of really nice games when Thabo was out, then never really played again. KD seems to like him too. Plays hard. Makes me proud everytime I watch him.
19. Doron Lamb - Rough rookie year. Played well early on, then was stuck on Skiles's bench. He got more run on the Magic and had a nice game against the Bucks. He needs to put on more weight and a strong showing at Summer League, but can certainly get into the rotation in Orlando.
20. Daniel Orton - Should've stayed bro. Keep trucking though.

He's just not as good as his brother was... or at least, he played that way last year while he was rocking the shin splints.

It's likely that once he's healthy he shows us even more potential than he showed us last season, especially in terms of facilitating the offense. I'm just somewhat skeptical. Someone who can fill it up like that has a spot on a roster, he just is unlikely to be his brother in any way.

his handles aren't hard and fast like a westbrook or immaculate like Paul...his handles are silky like Parker.

and he has the best jumper in the league. still a Defensive liability but the Warriors' system backs him up.
