3B - Will Middlebrooks. Legit.
SS - Stephen Drew. I never understood why they didn't resign Orlando Cabrera. How much money did he want? Nobody at that position since has been as good as Cabrera.
LF - Johnny Gomes. This is the position of Yastrzemski, Rice, Greenwell, and Ramirez.
CF - Jacoby Ellsbury. They say it was disease and the Sharps rifle what killed all the Native Americans, but I think it was a lack of toughness.
RF - Shane Victorino. In his mid- to late-20s, Victorino was a key member of strong Phillies squads. He was born in 1980.

SP - I hope, when reading some Sox-related article later this season, to NOT read the phrase "a staff ERA approaching 5.00."

I don't feel too bad about rebuilding this year, the rest of the division is damn good. Now if only we could get rid of the owners and the team could admit that the sellout streak is bullshit I'd feel fantastic, but baby steps are fine for now.

This ownership group will never change, but I just want to see a good, fun team on the field.

Even as a Yankee fan, for that reason alone, I hope the Sox compete for the division and it somehow comes down to them and the yanks... I don't think it's impossible either, especially if the sox stay healthy and the yanks stay competitive until they get healthy
