"Name your Low BBall IQ 1st team"

Mine:
PG - Russell Westbrook
SG - JR Smith
SF - Josh Smith
PF - Andray Blatche
C- Javale Mcghee

Not saying they're not talented. Just have very low basketball IQ's.

coach allows him to play that way.

i'd rather use low bball iq wit a player that shows he's dumb on multiple teams or coaches.

The other 4 are good tho.

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

But like I said before, Brooks clearly has no problem wit the way Westbrook plays so imo you have to fault Brooks before you fault Westbrook.

obviously for the elite guys like Kobe, KG, LBJ, etc., they already had the bball IQ, and made a concerted effort to improve it. But I think a lot of the middle-of-the-pack HS pros could have developed more bball IQ with better coaching.

so it may or may not be relevant, but many of the guys known as low-bball-IQ players also played little to no college ball.

some coaches aren't teachers at all and some won't/can't teach certain areas.

watching amare play defense now after he spent most of his career under d'antoni and it is light and day.

He still ain't a great defender but you can see him implementing basic defensive principles that he ain't even try in previous seasons.

his body stopped growing at 15. That really ain't his fault.

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

That's an offensive minded backcourt that is so stupid, they'd struggle to break 80 points a game and a defensive minded frontcourt that would get constantly abused by even a simple backdoor play.

The Barea hit = Being an asshole
John Wall's Dougie = being an asshole
Rasheed and Melo doing three to head after every three = being assholes

Thinking it is OK for a 7 footer to take a fast break three point shot in transition after one pass = LOW B-BALL IQ.

there was a whole side controversy about it that played out in the papers over that, which he responded to by doing it again & then pretending he didn't see the issue with it.

Andrew Bynum's a lot of things but being a low-bball-IQ player is not one of them.

I say that as someone who has basically watched 60-75% of the games he's played in his career.

My example was Dalembert because I watched him make multiple plays while a Sixer that caused me to wonder whether he actually comprehended certain rules of the game he was paid to play (which given that he didn't starting playing until 16/17 & only played a year at Seton Hall, might have been an actual possibility).

You brought up Bynum & used an example of him being a dickhead as evidence.

DeShawn was ironically never really considered
a dumb player. He was heady, smart, responisible
as a 2-guard. Seems like an idiot off the court,
though.

>Gilbert Arenas

A gunner, but hardly had low bball IQ

Might be an idiot off the court (I don't know) but he's actually a pretty heady player on the court...there's a reason he started for the Mavs in their title run.
