while not much of a scorer, MKG rebounds and blocks shots well for a SF. at 19--and the youngest player in the NBA--he's already better than the sixers' last number two pick.

So Barnes, despite being older and getting slightly more playing time per game, is statistically inferior to MKG in every category save 3PT%, a shot MKG only takes .2 times per game.
Now, I'm not one to say we should pronounce final verdicts on rookies in their first couple of years. Nor do I think Barnes is destined to put up these very blah numbers for his whole career.
But if you DO want to compare them, right today, there is no question that MKG is better. His PER is third among rookies who log more than 20 minutes a game, Barnes is tenth among the same group.
