> >Mayweather rich? Check...and kinda fucked up too > >Pacquiao fucked up? Check...and rich > >Arum getting a red cent from Mayweather's wealth today? >Check.
Good for him, doesn't mitigate the fact he ducked Pacquiao lol
>W for Mayweather
But he loses the war (how his legacy will be viewed) while winning the battle w/Arum...so an overall "L" for him
>>And Pacquiao getting knocked out doesn't let Floyd off the >>hook due to the fact Floyd shoulda been made the fight w/he >>and Pacquiao happen long before there was a 3rd or 4th fight >>btw Pac/Marquez > >Nah, Floyd fucked Marquez up. Marquez fucked Manny up >3 times. Sorry. > >>Even if Floyd would've fought Pacquiao last year, for >>instance,...and beat him, it would've still been a bit >tainted >>to some jus cuz we've saw Pacquiao not looking as sharp in >his >>past few fights as he did btw 2007-10. > >Bwahahahahhahaah > >Now y'all copping pleas for the PAST > >Bwahaahahaha
No, just pointing out how it was noticeable that Pacquiao wasn't the same fighter post Margarito for whatever reason or distraction he had going on...and you started to sense that we wouldn't see the same fighter in the ring w/Mayweather the longer it took to make this fight take place
>Floyd could have fucked Pacquiao up at any point and y'all >would have coppeethed PLEAS
Not me, I'm not a stan for either fighter, just wanted to see what seems to be boxing's last and only mega fight
>Not to mention Manny is several years YOUNGER than Floyd, >so if he's fading, why the fuck should I cop pleas on his >behalf and not Floyd? Another reason is better: WHen he was >Manny's age he wasn't walking into right hands
1) cuz Floyd was unusually inactive during Manny's ascension and 2) in even his 85 punches per rd type of style, still absorbed far more punishment than Floyd...and he was fighting naturally bigger guys which may have taken a physical toll on his body at this point > >Oh and Manny actually was looking GREAT against Manny >pre-knockout...if you saw the fight you'd know that. EVERYONE >was saying he looked like a new man
So what? He started out strong in their 1st two fights only to win two controversial fights...because Marquez picked it up in the later rds which is his MO > >...instead Floyd so >>called retired only to come out of retirement to fight a >>bloated Marquez (woulda been a perfect time for a Floyd/Pac) >>who was fighting out of the lightweight division, his >natural >>and best fighting weight, > >bwahhahahaahah > >Except Marquez said himself he was struggling to make that >weight, which is why he didn't look all that great against >Juan Diaz > >Marquez has looked great in the 140 range except when he >fought someone good: Flody
Still was Marquez's 1st time fighting as a welterweight when he fought Floyd...and he still didn't make weight. > > > >>to fight a much bigger Mayweather. > >Yeah, I destroyed this point years ago by pointing out >that Floyd didn't even win using the bigger man's fight. > >He didn't outmuscle Marquez. He stayed on the outside and >out-skilled him. It was a legendary display of boxing skill. >If Floyd had bullied Marquez and knocked him out, you'd have >a point. Floyd was basically toying with him, setting traps, >countering everything...this coming off a 2 year layoff AND >A RIB INJURY. Sad, y'all could call it one of the great >technical performances ever, but instead y'all weeping over >the desolate world of Pacquiaostan
Doesn't matter what Floyd did or didn't do in that fight, it was about what Marquez COULDN'T do because of the added weight which made him noticeably and 2x as slow vs a fighter he was slower than to begin with.... > >>(So "Money Mayweather" doesn't deserve more props than Pac >for >>beating a bloated Marquez and just the same, Pacquiao didn't >>deseerve more props than Floyd when he beat a dehydrated >Dela >>Hoya) > >Floyd beat De La Hoya, though
To some he didn't though...and nevertheless it was still a much tougher fight for Floyd than it was for Pac when he fought Oscar
>Pacquiao got outboxed by Marquez one and knocked the >fuck out the second time
If Floyd wasn't busy inventing excuses as to why he was fighting Marquez/Shane/Ortiz/Cotto instead of Pacquiao then we wouldn't have had those Pac/Marquez fights to begin with...so now Marquez STOLE Floyd's golden moment by knocking out Pac...leaving Floyd's resume w/some serious holes in it. Sorry, its true...don't hate the messenger > >
