C's doing whatever they want offensively and then not having to double defensively.

he's had, on his roster since opening day 2012, Carmelo Anthony, Amar'e Stoudemire, Tyson Chandler, Steve Nash, Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard, and Pau Gasol.

over that period, he's 36-45, soon to be 36-46.

he's had epic meltdowns in the two biggest markets in the country with 2 of the league's marquee teams.

this is about to fail spectacularly. take it from someone who's watched a few of these, if you ignore the basketball, there's nothing like a team in a big market in a full on death spiral. it becomes funny after a while.

He has to share the ball and get everyone involved as he had been doing these past 7 games (before tonight)....which resulted in much improved defensive play, effort, and a 7-1 record.

Gallo's become so vital to anything we do he's almost indispensable and it would take a star/superstar to make it worth it.

Conversely, Chandler really doesn't have much trade value and it only makes sense to dump him if you think his contract was an amnesty-level mistake. If he could even get his fg% in the 40's it'd be worth it for his defense.

The depth is nice but they'd be a real contender if they could package some of that talent for a top notch star. They were going after KG and he shut it down. I'd think they'd go younger though.

still the easiest position to upgrade for the nuggets given what they got would be center. especially is karl is gonna j.r. javale.

They couldn't win with 'Melo. Why get a poor man's Melo?

I also think they should move on from George Karl.

he isn't an elite coach and he definitely holds players back. sometimes he holds teams back because he always picks his ego over talent.

but he also consistently puts winners on the court. so i can't discount that even though i feel strongly about his terribleness

Getting Rudy would be a lateral move at best. Maybe a step back. And I'm sure his jacking and lax defense wouldn't play well with Karl.

They need an elite player; Rudy Gay isn't elite. (Neither is Granger)

In response to Reply # 0

Thibs better be tearing into them during halftime. Not getting back on defense, not boxing out, leaving their hottest shooter wide open for threes. We looked better in the second quarter but we can't let them score so easily.

Offense is looking pretty good, gotta keep going to Boozer and let Nate Robinson create his own shot. Good shooting from Cook & Butler. Bill Cosby is playing well but needs to stop turning it over. Noah looking 60% himself out there.

We're lucky we're only down by 5.

I really don't like Faried. I respect him as a player, but for some reason I don't like him.

He's regressing yet still starting.

I understand the situation tonight cause we're shorthanded, but I would be just fine with him not playing once Rose gets back. Start Buckets or Marco and let this team thrive for 48 minutes.

His ego is too big to come off the bench though. Which is some bullshit, but unfortunately is part of the conversation.

Thibs had some shitty substitutions tonight too, waits til we're down 20 to make a change.

This whole game is embarassing, I feel like a laker fan.

Next year's contract is only partially guaranteed (or a team option, can't remember which.) Any team looking to cut salary would unload a contract for him. They won't get a quality big but they could get a guy who could eat some minutes.
