The final list will be chosen from the following: Larry Allen, Jerome Bettis, Cris Carter, Charles Haley, Jonathan Ogden, Bill Parcells, Andre Reed, Warren Sapp, Michael Strahan and Aenas Williams.
Which means Tim Brown, Kevin Greene, Will Shields, Art Modell and Eddie DeBartolo have all been eliminated from voting.

HOF voting is almost all politics. Shit gets around man. The way these guys handle themselves does play a role. I bet you Marvin Harrison has to wait a little to get in after it came to light that he was comin off the hip on some Scarface shit.

I fixed yours for you

But he was a hell of a player. In fact that Bucs D is very unsung and underrated. They were fuckin GREAT for YEARS. They almost pulled a Ravens and carried a pathetic offense to the Super Bowl.
26. "Larry Allen. As Will mentioned, he was the unquestioned best" In response to Reply # 19
Guard in the NFL throughout the majority of his career. Ogden was certainly a beast in his own right - he just didn't sustain that elite status for quite as long as Allen. Sheeit, without him (and Jamal Lewis) that Ravens offense would be absolutely abysmal.
Anyway, Larry Allen was just flat out dominant. If you can watch his old videotape, dude just mauls guys over like it's nothing. I've heard several former player interviews where they admit that Larry Allen was the toughest, best lineman/player that have faced. Even this past week, I heard a few interviews where former players said that Larry Allen was a tougher challenge/match up than Ogden.
So I think Larry Allen was the easiest choice followed by Ogden. I'm not sure how voters felt about Sapp. Imo he had an incredible 6 year run, but was rather pedestrian (for a HOFer) his last 4-5 seasons - especially in Oakland. He's definitely HOF worthy.
27. "damn east coast bias keeping strahan out of the HOF" In response to Reply # 0
probably still mad he called some reporter out while eating a donut.
seriously though Sapp going in first ballot and strahan not is a joke. Strahan was a beast until the end. Jon Runyan's funky ass is still holding him.
lets take that one Favre sack away that had Sapps panties in a bunch. it took sapp like 4 years to get 22 sacks. like if stray had just tied the record would it have mattered? would he still cry about it? its over 20 sacks regardless. 9 players have gotten more than 20. NINE and one was a roider.
Yea Sapp was a beast but first ballot? nah. Plus dude was a scumbag on an off the field.
no biggy though theres been bigger snubs. it's just being snubbed for dirt bags makes no sense.
also ogden wasnt much better than pace or jones imo
