"Active NBA players going to the HOF"

Name a player and OKS will tell you if they would get into the HOF if they retired tomorrow. This means no Kyrie Irvings or Russell Westbrooks. Also, you should vote on whether or not you believe the person will be voted in, NOT if you think they deserve it. I'll start.

Lack of rings in college AND pros hurts. Eight all-stars makes it super close... but only one All-NBA 2nd Team and no All-NBA 1st Team? He's not first ballot if he is in.

Individual accomplishments matter. Vince Carter was not the most accomplished player of his era, but he played in quite a few playoff games and was one of the great clutch players in the NBA for a significant period of time. One of the great highlight reels in modern NBA history--both for dunks and crunch-time deliveries--and an HOF resume statistically.

I just looked it up and saw that he missed first ballot. I had no idea that happened, and can't possibly imagine why, but whatever...

And does making it on the second ballot constitute 'barely making it'?

Vince is one of the great players of his era, and there isn't a single player ahead of him in career scoring that is not either already in the hall of fame, or guaranteed to be there.

Why don't you tell me why he doesn't belong there? And if your argument includes the word 'rings', then fuck off.

He was a good scorer but so was T-mac, Steve Francis, Steph Marbury.

Never led a team anywhere.
Never a defensive presence.

My point about Nique was...if Nique got in on second ballot, and we agree not sure why, then how can we possibly say YES for sure Vince is in at all?

Nique led his team with nutty ass Doc Rivers as his sidekick.

And show me where Vince Carter ranks in all-time scoring compared to Steve Francis and Stephon Marbury.

Get the fuck outta here with that shit.

Never led a team anywhere? He advanced in the playoffs 4 times in his career.

Obviously not an all-time great in playoff success, but he's an all-time great in other aspects of the game--including clutch play. Yeah, it was regular season clutch play, but that shit still matters.

Mentioned that Carter had a negative "Impact toward winning"?

How exactly?! Based on mob mentality?

Dude was on how many losing teams in his career? People are literally mentioning Steve Francis and Stephon Marbury in the same breath, and with nothing to back up their comparisons. Nothing.

I'm not gonna sit here and suggest that Vince Carter is the best player in NBA history, but the way that players are propped up and/or vilified en masse is absurd.

Fuck Reggie Miller, and fuck Derek Fisher.

His statistics get him in to the hall of fame by themselves, and looking deeper at the caliber of basketball that he played for the duration that he did only helps his case.

You're not talking about a Nick Anderson or Ron Harper type player--you're talking about an 8-time all star who is one of the most spectacular players in the history of basketball.

Show respect due.

Because I said he was on the bubble and you are freaking the fuck out defending this guy.

The vote is split in this board and in the general population. Which means he's on the bubble.

So quit telling people like me to fuck off and realize it's simply not clear cut, because things like All-NBA teams, pro and college rings, and memorable marquee games DO matter to the actual human beings that vote.

First off all "people" weren't...I did.
And if you read what I said it says Vince could score...so could Steph, and Steve.

So the comparison was based on scoring ability.
They never led teams anywhere.

Then you have the nerve to say fuck Hall of Famer Reggie Miller, and Fuck NBA champion Derek Fisher, then have the nerve to say show respect to Vincent Lamar Carter?

FUCK VINCENT LAMAR CARTER!!

And OK if you REALLY want stats to back up the Vince - Marbury - Steve Francis debate
fine:

Vince career stats - 21/ 5/ 4
Marbury career stats - 19 / 7/ 3
Steve Francis - 18 /6 / 6

I would say they are perfectly comparable
especially if you add in the fact that none of them won shit.

Vince: 1033 games / 60 playoff games
Marbury: 846 / 24 playoff games
Francis: 576 games / 5 playoff games

Marbury and Francis essentially got blacklisted from the league. Vince Carter is still playing at a pretty high level every night.

>Then you have the nerve to say fuck Hall of Famer Reggie

I do have the nerve to say fuck them. Their status gets elevated to points that far exceed their individual accomplishments, and when you're discussing who the better player is, individual accomplishments and individual attributes matter. You love to talk about how Vince hasn't won shit, but would also probably never say such a thing about Grant Hill because it's not as popular to shit on his career as it is for Vince.

Dog, all I was said was all the three of them did was score a lot of points. A hall of famer that does not make.
And playing a long time doesn't make you a hall of famer either. It makes you someone who played a long time...good for you.

>You love to talk about how Vince hasn't

Grant Hill never won shit, Ewing never won shit, and neither did Reggie. THERE I SAID IT!
I have no problem calling out people who never won shit. But Reggie and Ewing led mediocre teams deep into the playoffs. And to the NBA finals. (and before you begin to argue remember I said LED, DEEP INTO, and FINALS.
Vince cannot even think about saying that.

D-Fish won it all...NOTHING YOU CAN SAY TO THAT MAN.

Vincent Lamar Carter has done nothing...NOTHING....that Steph and Steve didn't do (except asshole their way out of the league). And I wouldn't let them smell the hall, so why the fugg should I say Vince is a lock?

Now previously you asked me to say why Vince shouldn't be a lock...I did.
Now explain to me again why he should?

Actually... Vince Carter was arguably/probably the second best player on the Nets when

>D-Fish won it all...NOTHING YOU CAN SAY TO THAT MAN.

Sure you can. You can say that basketball is a team sport and that he was on good teams. You can say that the hall-of-fame is an institution that celebrates individual achievements in the sport.

>Vincent Lamar Carter has done nothing...NOTHING....that Steph
>and Steve didn't do (except asshole their way out of the

Yeah. Nothing except do more of every single possible thing there is to do in the league, and do it better. smh

>And I wouldn't let them smell the hall, so why the
>fugg should I say Vince is a lock?

lol

>Now previously you asked me to say why Vince shouldn't be a
>lock...I did.
>Now explain to me again why he should?

Let's summarize your argument: VInce Carter should not be in the hall-of-fame because Marbury and Steve Francis. Vince Carter should not be in the hall-of-fame because Ewing led a mediocre team to the finals (more than a little bit debatable, since that team wasn't mediocre), and Reggie Miller led a mediocre team deep in the playoffs (also debatable since he was on very good teams and was seldom the leader or best player on the team).

Patrick Ewing would be in the Hall of Fame even if he never led the Knicks to the Finals, and he would've deserved it. If you think that Reggie Miller was a better basketball player than Vince Carter during their primes, you should've watched more basketball over the years.

In response to Reply # 3

I don't mean verrrrrrrry borderline in that they have a slim chance, just that they right on the edge of induction or barely missing.

You look at both guys with strong statistical cases for the hall but a real lack of team achievement, consistency, playing to their potential and, in Carter's case, I'd argue impact toward winning.

He just didn't play on good teams and it wasn't some type of Archie Manning situation either, he was often part of the problem. Only two All-NBA selections, zero first team selections. Never much of a defensive player. He had a period of offensive dominance for sure but it was pretty short lived.

You look at these guys in terms of HOF probability, they are right on the edge. I don't think Carter, for example, has nearly as strong of a case as Ray Allen or AI or even McGrady despite being as dominant individually at one point.

Same thing with Webber, he was supposed to be a new age Elvin Hayes and on paper you can make it look like he was not a far cry from Hayes (with averages, percentages). But to me Webber fucked around a lot at the start of his career and then he was hurt a lot when he kind of figured things out. A lot of guys are like that, I call it the Pat Burrell syndrome.

For me, I don't think I'd vote for either guy. I am not going to argue this vociferously. There are guys with lower probabilities based on their NBA careers and worse numbers that are in. these guys are first ballot hall of very good and you can never cry when someone like that gets in. Personally though, I would not vote for either.

And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

Webber is not borderline...At all...

I don't think a lot of folks understand how the Basketball HOF inducts its players....

It's not just about what players do in the PROS...It's also their college accomplishments...

Webber will indeed be inducted given the impact of that Fab 5 team (they were truly revolutionary) and how he contributed to a joke of a NBA franchise becoming a true Western Con. powerhouse (Kings)...

GOAT of his era......long live Prince.....God is alive....

and inappropriately at that

who cares about vince carter's college career? webber's never happened and what people remember most is the best team money could buy not winning titles, in no small part because he choked twice in one instant with the national title on the line.

webber has a better chance than not. his time in sacramento was pretty compelling and he burst onto the scene, too. overall, his career was a mild disappointment. he was 100% a hall of fame talent. he had about a 75% hall of fame career.

And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

based off college & Olympic play particularly amongst American players.

Bill Walton got in but he had an NBA MVP, ring & injury caveat along with his UCLA career.

For American-born players, dudes get in or don't based on their NBA careers really.

If you got examples to the contrary, feel free to name a few.

At the end of this his tenth season he will have about as many points as Rice had in 15 years. He has hit for 25+ ppg routinely in his career, Rice did it once, maybe twice.

Cmon man, that is a way off comparison. Rice and Glenn Robinson are first ballot hall of very good. Anthony is better than those guys.

The same person would say those guys don't belong in the HOF then turns around and uses them as a reason someone else should be in.

BTW those guys had very long and successful careers. Their careers in sum are clearly better than Bosh's if he were to retire right today.

His only chance was like three rings. Bounced around too much early on. Even at his best, not quite a HOF'er. Maybe like a Gus Williams type candidacy, although he'd prefer it be a Maurice Cheeks one.

Gold medal, NBA titles, Euroleague title, multiple time All-Star... the overall resume will overshadow him mostly being a 6th man during his career and him being banged up a lot. I think people will remember his impact on the floor well.

And even if it were just the NBA, I think he'd have a strong case. The Spurs are not to be evaluated by numbers strictly, kind of like the old Cs were not. Ginobili has consistently been a top two guard in an era that's been a little thin on them and he's won titles in the process. You factor in his success internationally and he is a mortal lock.

And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

Again folks...it's not just the pros....

Dude was a STAR overseas... STAR at the Olympics....And a STAR in the pros...And he has rings....

When it comes to foreign players voters look at the fact that a Ginobli (like Sabonis) came to the NBA late in their careers...

Mullins in his prime was the 2nd or 3rd wheel on mediocre teams but he still made the hall b/c of his numbers (plus, College/Dream Team). On the other hand, Manu has put up equivalent numbers in the post-season as a 2nd or 3rd wheel. They both have Olympic gold but Manu was the primary option for Argentina while Mullins was a role player. When you throw in that Manu has 3 chips along with his career overseas, I don't see why Mullins make it but Manu doesn't.

WHAT'S GOOD *****? What's REALLY good?!?!????!!! Ha HA!

Mullin was the first option and leading scorer on all those Run-TMC squads and never averaged less than 25ppg in his prime.

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

He has NOT had a HOF NBA career but his tenure in Spain plus the silver medal might be enough. I don't know that I'd vote for him but he was really dominant in Spain and obviously hall of very good worthy in the NBA.

He is not huge on individual accomplishments in the NBA. Sure, he has two rings, a silver medal and a dominant period in Europe. That is in no small part because he didn't come over immediately. He wouldn't make it in on his NBA career alone, small handful of AS selections, two rings, I don't think that's quite enough.

And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

Let him have a career first. He has already started to build a great résumé for an HOF bid if he can stay on the court and play well for a few more seasons.

In response to Reply # 64

he would be the first MVP ever to not make the HOF.

it would be really hard to put a guy who blew out his knee after three years in. grant hill had a longer prime than that, and IMO it was very important for him to come back and show he could play. bernard king's comeback was big, too, even walton's later career.

his candidacy is not very strong, i could only see ONE precedent, which is maurice stokes. i think he also played three seasons, he was paralyzed and forced to retire. there is also the MVP thing, of course

And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

In response to Reply # 163

Sabonis retired to the NBA more or less, his knees were all shot out by 30 and he was still one of the better centers in the league. I saw him in the Olympics, otherwise everything is highlights and crappy Soviet camera work. I think he would have been an absolute animal, it would be impossible to come up with an NBA comparison. I've never seen a better passer, he could take guys off the dribble, he had shooting range, great touch around the basket and a multitude of post moves. Outside of taking guys off the bounce, he did all those things in the NBA even playing at half speed.

And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

He had that Steve Nash finesse with throwing passes off the dribble, and was also big enough to hold the ball over his head and thread the needle. The kind of player who made passes that no one else could make, and make them look routine...

All the way to the end of his career, whenever he entered the game, it was a marvel to watch how much he did with such little physical capabilities.

It's insane to think how good he must've been when he was athletic.

Give him two more years of being an All-Star PG and he's a lock, obviously. But a guy with multiple first team All-NBA selections... possibly another this year... two gold medals...

The number of guys with multiple All-NBA first team selections in the modern era who aren't getting into the Hall of Fame is... probably just one, Penny, because his career was cut so short. Everyone else is in. Including CP3.

Rondo/Tony were better last season. Rose was better in 09-10, plus 10-11. Baron/Nash were better in the mid 2000s. Deron has had a better season: 06-07). Russy was better 10-11. CP is still eating off that period between 2007-2009. (Injuries are a part of the game)

Definitely not basketball.

CP3 had yet another MVP-caliber season last year, clearly heads and shoulders above all other PG's. Like not even close.

I'd love to hear the reasoning behind this. It would take some next level spin to make it anything less than completely laughable.

Top 5 embarrassed CP3 in the 2nd round sweep and Rondo was on bath salts in the EFC.

I didn't think this was a serious argument for KJ & CP3 being on the same level.

and this is his 8th yr in the league?

and he's never been past the 2nd round of the playoffs?

Right?

http://www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/pcm_finder.cgi?request=1&sum=1&p1=johnske02&y1=2000&p2=paulch01&y2=2013

Them numbers are VERY similar fam.

And KJ got to the finals once and the WCF twice in addition to that yr.

While I think Paul is a better player (but not by a whole helluva lot) his career isn't some pristine untouchable body of work.

He got 4 yrs to accomplish what KJ has in the post season. And you can argue that the team make up/competition has something to do with it but KJ faced off against a stacked West too (Lakers, Jazz, Blazers, Rockets, Sonics) and his team wasn't as talented as Paul's current Clips teams.

Just saying.

It'll be even clearer after he's likely first team All-NBA AGAIN at the end of this year (depending on his injury, knock on wood he's okay). A three-time All-NBA player ain't getting past up.

Sheed was a HOF talent who instead had a very good career. He didn't really maximize the prime of his career. He doesn't have the numbers. He has some intangibles working in his favor, he was a very good individual defender and a strong leader. Still, he was not a *STAR* in the way that HOF'ers are. You also had to question his commitment at plenty of turns. I adore Sheed, but I can't say he is a HOF'er.

Odom is an FOH'er! I have defended his impact many times but even considering him as a HOF candidate is ridiculous.

King has two All-NBA first teams, one scoring title, and one playoff series victory.

Durant has three All-NBA first teams, three scoring titles, and led his team all the way to the Finals twice.

(Unless they win a chip, you're going to have to go by numbers b/c folks don't care about second place.)

As far as the accolades go, different eras=different competition.

For the All-NBA teams, King's competition at the forward position was ridiculous: Bird, Dr. J, Barkley, Nique, Dantley, Mail Man, Worthy, Mullins, Chambers, Cummings, McHale, English (Pretty much 10 HOFers).

As far as the scoring title (not that big of a deal, see Jerry Stackhouse), he got injured in the following season after leading the league by a mile.

>and led his team all the way to the Finals twice.
Twice, really? Anyways King had a mediocre team and was going up against a loaded east that had the likes of Larry's Celtics/Dr. J's Sixers/Zeke's Pistons (3 Dynasties in the same conference). KD meanwhile can't even get a top seed over old ass San Antonio.

EDIT: T-Mac is also on the same boat.

Plus Barkley, Malone, etc. Durant is basically guaranteed a spot with LeBron. That's for all-NBA. How about Jordan for the scoring crown?

King was a fucking beast, he could score with anyone. No scorer in the NBA today has "surpassed him easily."

The problem with that argument is that King should be a HOF'er, too, so his truncated career (punctuated by comeback brilliance) should serve as a nod for Durant. It's not like Durant is going to get bored and quit tomorrow, the question is if he got hurt would he make it. I would say yes.

And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

The two don't mean two different things. HOF resume =/= who's the better player. Do your achievements define an era? Durant's achievements are more impressive on a resume than King's.

Later it was a dead ass Rik Smits, a deader ass Sabonis, Vlade ... not exactly Wilt, Russell and Kareem. He played against Shaq and Shaq ate his fucking lunch. Where was this great competition for Deke?

The Georgetown boys (Zo/Ewing), Baby Shaq, Dream, Robinson, Willis. Smit/Vlade/Sabonis and 'em were actually the 2nd tier centers. Then on the downside of his career, prime Shaq/Ben Wallace/Elmo.....Theo Ratliff/Camby et al being the 2nd tier centers. One the other hand, if Dwight keeps getting his lunch eaten by the Kendrick Perkins imagine what would happen against prime Deke.

P.S. There was no stopping prime Shaq especially considering Shaq had a 100 lbs on Deke and Deke was on the downside of his prime.

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

If you are going to be as soft as he is, you had better score A LOT of points. He had a handful of years where he was doing it with Phoenix, first as a big man who ran the floor and exploded and later as a refined offensive player. But the consistency is not there and neither is the dominance anymore. That first playoff run with Nash, WOW, what potential. I don't want to say he squandered it, not at all, but he didn't wind up maximizing it for a number of reasons.

To me he doesn't rebound enough, he is just a respectable weakside shotblocker (otherwise worthless on defense mostly) and he didn't string together enough dominant seasons. He needs a second moment and don't know if it's in the cards.

And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

Arguably the most underrated player of the era. His resume shows he's one of the most dominant scorers in the NBA.

If he retired today, it'd be unlikely, but he looks to have quite a bit of career left...

If he can make a couple more All-Star teams or (don't strike me dead, God) if he can contribute to some serious Knick playoff success, then his resume improves.

Ben Wallace's career SHITS on Camby's. I don't care if Camby came in as a big pick and stuck around forever as a stiff with good instincts once his body was shot. He is still a career disappointment, not that far off from Joe Smith and guys like that.

By contrast, Wallace was an outright DOMINANT defender. He played all 94 feet, he was a beast in the paint and he was hands down the best rebounder in the league. Those first couple of years Detroit was doing its thing with Carlisle, I thought Wallace was a legit MVP candidate despite his complete incompetence in the scoring department.

The BB Hall of Fame (as others have noted) does not only look at what a player does in the pros...It's simple...International play (this counts more for international foreign players who dominated the the Olympics and overseas players more than what Americans have done in the medal games), college, and pros...

That means folks like Melo and Webber would be in (right now)....

The trick is you have to either have multiple All-Star votes or rings or totally dominate the league...

If people didn't understand that, then Manu, Pau, et al wouldn't be getting unanimous yeses.

How does it mean Webber is in? Fab 5 vacated their near misses and he choked like a bitch TWICE in one critical moment (travel, then timeout). If anything, that moment set the odds against him because he would be defined as a guy who was an overtalented underachiever in his career. He substantiated that by floundering around early, whining a lot, being injured and generally leaving people with a very lukewarm feeling.

And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

He gets in because people actually have memories...No amount of the bullshit NCAAA taking away those years can erase the impact the Fab 5 had on college basketball...

Webber dominated college as a freshman and a sophomore....We don't need the NCAA to tell us that...EVERYONE saw it with their eyes...

As for his pro years, let's slow down...For all of Webber's asshole ways, dude turned around a joke of a franchise (the Kings) and made them a powerhouse in the NBA....They were one of the most popular teams in the NBA and would have been in a final if it wasn't for Fish's miracle shot...

The BB Hall of Fame is not the Baseball Hall of Fame...The door is much more wide open to get in...

LOL, so he is better than Elvin Hayes? No. Dirk? No. Bob McAdoo? No. I would take Rodman (a HOF'er) over him at the PF position, obviously they were very different players. If we are looking as far back as Petit, Dolph Schayes was a dominant PF of that era as well. Webber is battling guys like George McGinnis, Jerry Lucas and Buck Williams for spots right outside the top ten.

But, of course, you are also a pathetic Derrick Coleman defender, so carry on.

That's some hate right there. Webber is a 20-10 guy for most of his career. He was a way better rebounder than Dirk, and a better passer as well. Dirk's got him on the MVP and the ring, but to say Webber is a 2nd tier PF when his career #'s are on par with KG is some hate (and that includes the years he was on the decline)

I think Webber belongs in the HOF, but I don't think there is any question that both Dirk and KG rank ahead of him in the all-time rankings. No question.

And Webber's career numbers are definitely not on par with KGs.

Did people not watch this guy's career? He was the epitome of a second-tier star, good producer, weak defender, inconsistent health and lots of fiddling around that culminated in a near miss. We are old, dudes, we saw this guy if we were watching. He was an excellent player. I think he has a strong case for the HOF. He was absolutely not a top ten PF though, he got lost in the shuffle of an unusually strong era for the position and he is NOT a lock for Springfield. I'd give him a better chance than not, nothing more than that.

And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

The Webber-led Kings came within a WHISKER of beating the
MIGHTY LOS ANGELES LAKERS in SHAQ'S PRIME!!

And DIRK GOT BOUNCED from the Playoffs by the 8-seed the
SAME SEASON he won the MVP!!

FOH!!

The "Webber as choker" meme NEVER stands up to scrutiny

the better team. They should have won that series. Let's not rewrite history.

Webber was their leading scorer, OK, but Bibby was their go-to guy in big spots. Webber's numbers were about the same if not a little worse than the regular season. He struggled at the foul line, for example. Minutes go up in the playoffs, you'd expect a little surge, no?

That was a good year for Webber, actually, whose playoff averages were generally about 4 PPG lower than the regular season. A few break even seasons put him just a couple points per game below for his career. He shot worse from the line and the field, his first three seasons in Sac he bricked a shitload.

Face it, you think he is cute. You know little or nothing about his career. I don't blame you, he is an attractive man.

And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

How was his profile so low? He came into the league as the number one overall pick, won rookie of the year and then promptly being traded twice while he fucked around? He was on TV plenty with Sacramento (he whined a lot there, too) and he managed to get them to a conference final in which they were favored only to wilt in the end. He didn't kill them, but he wasn't the best player in the series or on his own team. His body started going after that. He had a lot of things going for him, guard skills in a big body plus GREAT hands in every way (softness, quickness, strength). Like I said the dude had a lot of Elvin Hayes' game in him, but you look at his career versus Hayes, pfffft, no contest and that includes college, too.

Adande's column about Webber's retirement was spot the fuck on. He was not a bad guy and you could never exactly drop the hammer on his play, but he wasn't that next level dude for a variety of reasons. Dirk proved to be. Garnett proved to be. Sure, Barkley and Malone didn't but just give that the eye test, they were considerably better players with considerably better careers.

And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

Melo's obviously in as well, and the college ring obviously helps. But let's not act like it gives him the same boost Webber's college career will give him.

Not that Webber even needs the help, as I'm pretty goddamn sure he's in. But folks argue against him. Only one All-NBA First Team (but three Second Team and a third team... half a decade of All-NBA is nothing to sneeze at), and even though I've been told to fuck off, there will be those who say because he has no ring in college or the NBA that he should wait a year.

The college career just makes it way harder to argue against Webber.

Love would have to see the playoffs first before his name is ever mentioned in the same breath as the HOF. Zach Randolph has a better resume and is actually a better player & he isn't seeing the HOF with his current resume. Also, Boozer/Brand have also had a better career at the same position.

As indicated by how low Grant Hill and Manu are.

Also doesn't factor in MVP awards, evident by Nash's score.

Also doesn't factor All-NBA first, second, and third team awards, as those have generally been very strong indicators of HOF probability.

Clearly it's a flawed system, as Duncan isn't at 1.0000, lol.

But it does include rings, accurately, which may anger someone in this post.

based off the discussion in their methods...i think they'd be happy with whiffing on 2 dudes for obvious reasons and some of their borderline guys (tmac, amare) potentially missing the cut.

at least basketball isn't baseball. vince carter is really the only guy i'm torn on and he seems likely to make it.

I think there'd probably be a way to more accurately assess is all I'm saying. Their system is a good approximation.
