i seem to remember him being hurt for a stretch, but it's bizarre that a dude now averaging 11 rebs a game couldn't get burn. looking at the stats, he had the top rebounding rate on the sixers and would have been about 18th in the NBA if he had the minutes to qualify. too bad his minutes were clogged by superstars like lavoy allen, spencer hawes and tony battie.

and look at that horrid roster of bigs in hindsight, but He's one of those guys that dont necessarily pass the eye test.
Its gonna sound weird but while hes a 11rpg and had that monstrous rebounding game, I wouldnt call him a great rebounder. Generally, he's more of the --ball comes to me and I grab it guy, then the high motor go get it guy.
Even going back to his USC days, his positioning isnt great. He doesnthave great instincts. Bomb--you know what I mean cause its similar to how Dwight is getting his now--and you talked about it in another post.
People are gonna hate and say, how can an 11 rpg or a guy leading the league in rebounding not be great--but its true. this is one of those times where to me the eye test>>>>>stats.
Anyhow, I did think he would be a more viable offensive weapon in philly last year. But it seemed like whenever he played he had 0 confidence in taking that shot even though Spencer Hawes always had/took the green light.
This year hes not doing anything spectacular but hes able to hit the open jumper out to 20 feet and the Magic guards: Nelson and JJ do a great job of finding him in easy pick and pop situations.
