I stayed away season from posting much about my Hoyas because they got off to a good start; and it appears I'm somewhat of a cooler.
I'm not really expecting much from the team this year. I'm excited about Porter but this team is young, really young. They have toughness to them which I also love because it reminds me of Big John's Hoya teams.

but it's also almost definitely Otto's last year, which is sad because next season with another year of experience and a junior year Porter would be *sick*.
still, we could surprise, especially with Florida missing a couple guys tonight. I predict i'll get overly excited about how good we look and then get disappointed around mid- big east season.
really, tbh, the only question is who mans the middle (and where points come from).

gonna be a problem for people. DSR is awful at D, tho. and we need good starks to show up frequently against good teams.
still, love what i saw. if porter (foolishly) stays another year? that squad could be legit scary with yet another sharpshooter coming in as a frosh and another year for Hopkins to become a good center. he's got potential, still just raw and a little undersized.

Now, I don't think he'll stay all 4 years but word is he is just not the typical player looking to bounce ASAP. I mean, he didn't play AAU ball which is why he didn't show up on a lot of people's radar.
Damn this was an exciting ass game. They seem to have a knack for playing these type of games early in the year. I would hope they crack the Top 25 next week.
I think if Porter plays a better first half G'town wins the game.
Before the season JTIII said he thought Otto was the best player in the country. Lots of people dismissed this as coaches speak. I don't think many people will argue with that notion now. He is having a Kemba Walker-like run towards POTY.
Otto has kind of been under the radar from the jump. He never played AAU ball so he wasn't heavily recruited. JTIII found a gem. The downside to this is I think he's gone at the end of this season. He is wired differently than most dudes but now I don't see hims staying.
